Hi all,

I really, really need some help and am relying on everyone out there!

My DH and I cannot decide on a name for a baby boy and we are running out of time - I am due in 4 weeks.

I like names such as: Isaac, Theo, Noah

He likes names such as: James, Benjamin, William.

I have read about 10 baby name books but getting nowhere. Does anyone have any suggestions for names that they think could suit us both? So far, every name I like, he doesn't and vice-versa!

Please help us!

Leon
Joel
Adam
Patrick
Zachary

Is there no shortened version of his choices that you like or vice versa? That would be a sort of compromise - one choosing the name, the other the nickname.

You seem to like biblical names...

How about Jake, Joshua, Joseph?

I'm having a boy in 8 weeks Smile, may not really be your taste but i really liked

Rhys
James
Alexander
Liam
Isaac
Callum
Aidan

Think ours will be Callum as my husband seems set on it.
It's hard enough deciding but then agreeing as well can be harder still can't it, good luck.

we had a similar problem with second child having used the only boys name we could agree on when our son was born( Max and we had an argument about whether it was Maximilian, Maxwell or Maxim)fortunarley she was a girl who ended up with a name that didn't feature on our shortlist at all.

What about Jared if you both like biblical names ( and can be shortened to Jed)? Alternatively choose 1 name each - my kids both have 3 first names as we couldn't whittle it down any further

Good luck :)

Noah is very much like Jack where I live, same as Isaac, incredibly popular.

Rafael
Gabriel (both have gorgeous nn's)
Saul
Joel
Joseph
Joshua
Samuel
Luke/Lucas
Mark
Jacob

Has anyone said Caleb yet? Or Reuben.

To be really out there I once knew a child named Genyus. (pronounced genius)

Neither biblical nor traditional, but there you go.
