Gregory or Justin?

I have been on this forum before with a longer shortlist but eventually we came to these two names. I like Gregory, DH likes Justin. Other options were vetoed either by me or DH. DS1 is Dominic, DS2 is due in one month. Which one to choose? (or how do I convince DH to go with my option? :) )

I'm afraid i can't think of 'Justin' without seeing that simpering fat git on CBeebies, so my money would be on Gregory

Gregory though I prefer just Gregor.

Justin reminds me of Digestive biscuits.

Like Gregor too better than Gregory.
Justin is a bit of a weedy name IMO.

I like both but think Gregory fits better with Dominic

Agree with Custardo, Justin just asks to be teased.
Greg is nice.

Prefer Gregor/Gregory.

Gregory definitely.

I kind of like Justin though, the ol' trousersnake carries it off no problems. Gregory goes really well with Dominic.

I like Gregory. Justin is awful - really wet

Gregory as in Peck

Not Justin. It's just a bit...wet as said said. So it must be Gregory - but I prefer Gregor as an alternative.

Agree with previous posters. Gregory definitely.
It goes better with Dominic, it has short forms (Greg, Gregor) which Justin does not have.
Also, apologies to anyone who has used the name or is married to one, but Justin is a notoriously weak, wet and weedy name.
Finally, your DS will be driven mad in future with jokes like 'just in time'. Schoolboys are cruel.
Stick to Greg!

(Another name that goes well with Dominic is Benedict - nice because it means 'blessed' and since you have the name of the founder of one order of monks, you could have two!)

Thanks ladies...
I am not sure what you mean by saying that Justin is a "wet" name, because I never have any associations with any names - a name is just a name for me, either nice or not..

Is Gregory not too old fashioned? If it is so nice, why it is not so popular? (around No.570 in 2008 UK boys list)

And, finally, how do I convince DH to stick with my option??

Gregory!

Its my best friends name. He's always Greg, and its a lovely name.

Justin is horrible, very wet... He could cry you a river at least...

Gregory, it goes better with Dominic. My DS' middle names are Gregory and Guy. Julius is another good name that goes well with Dominic; much better than Justin, I agree, too weedy.I like Benedict too.

I quite like Justin.

(what does 'wet' mean?)
