Helena or Simone?

Any strong feelings? To go with a three syllable surname so I think Helena might be a bit too long.

Both lovely, but I prefer Simone.

Love Helena but it's my boss's name so unusable for me :) Simone reminds me of mullets and white stilettos

Simone.

Prefer Helena but like them both.

I like them both. How about Helen if your surname is too long for Helena? It's my daughter's name. It's a classic name and not as popular as Helena.

Both lovely! Classic, underused and feminine.

Prefer Helena but only if pn "HELL-en-uh". Helen even nicer IMO.

Love Helena esp when pronounced He-LAY-na.

I much prefer Helena

Bonham-Carter has more syllables than your name, and it sounds fine there - as long as there's a nice cadence, I wouldn't let length put you off.

For some reason I like Simone even though I sort of feel I shouldn't.

Helena's OK, Simone just makes me think Sim-Moan. Shortened to Moan/Moany. Yuk. Sorry Blush

Helena, by a long shot. Simone is one of those names where it feels like the parents really wanted a boy, and edited the name slightly to make up for their disappointment, IMO.

That definitely wasn't the case with me SirBoobAlot Smile

Helena, which I love anyway -- and I can't get away from the 'moan' syllable in Simone.

Both very nice. Simone is my favorite.

Thanks. Seems quite even. I do like Helen too, so that is another option.

Like both a lot - elegant and not overused.

Simone is my favourite.... but I also met a little Helena the other day and thought how beautiful the name way. Think I would prefer to use Eleanor, Leonore or Frances myself which are are similar(ish!).

Has no-one thought of syllable 'hell' in Helena?

'Hell' seems to be over-analysis to me tbh. It's not like you pronounce it HELLana.
