Stefan ?

Narrowed our dc2 boys name down to Stefan with Thomas as middle name.

I have always loved the name Stefan since I was about 14! Took some persuading dh as he loved it but seemed to think we would have to be French inorder to pull it off (which we're not). So should we go for it or take the safer route and call him Thomas Stefan instead?

Thanks.

Thanks Lonnie, I am never sure how others will take to the name. I told my brother that was the name we were considering and he said it sounded very feminine! I still love it though.

I've known a few Stefan's though my life and they've all been a hit with the ladies - all dark and handsome

Really like it - haven't heard the name in years.

Went to school with one, likewise dark and handsome!

I know a lovely Stefan age 10, go for it, nothing to be concerned about.

My DH is a Stefan, definately wasnt a 'common' name in 1970's NZ so he often gets asked about his heritage but his grandparents are Welsh so no links there! I'm biased of course but its a great name, a little different but not too unusual. His parents / sister sometimes shorten it to 'Stef' which is really odd cos my bestie is a Stephanie, shorted to 'Steph' all the time LOL.

In his teenage yrs / early 20's his mates were quite creative with dirty nick names but they were a bunch of yobs ;-)

Stefan is lovely. Unusual without being wacky. There are hundreds of Thomas' everywhere.
