the least 'chavvy' name?

I have been surprised to find some names I would have considered quite 'middle class' described on threads here as 'chavvy'.

So what do mnetters think is the least chavvy name?

Any name can become 'chavvy' if enough 'chavs' use a name, because then people associate that name with 'chavness'.

The UK now shares the same monarchy, so it's the Kings and Queens of the UK, not England, and has been the case for a while now.

I don't know what the least chavvy name is but names that would never be chavvy are James, Adam, Matthew, Samuel, Nicholas, Andrew......

I have also been surprised to see names labelled as 'chav' on here that I consider to be nice, average names. Most names are not chavvy.

I agree, the uglier the name, the least chavvy it is. Edwina for a girl or Rupert for a boy, would not be considered chavvy.

Not sure I agree, there are plenty of very ugly "chavvy" names (I don't want to name any specific ones for fear of insulting anyone...).

And for what it's worth I think Constance is a beautiful name.

Maisiethemorningsidecat, I was deliberate in stating kings and queens of England as waiting for the Stuarts to rock up in 1603 omits Canute and Eadwig, both low on the chav radar.

A neat segue Dinah . However, as Aed and Cloten are also pretty low in the chav radar it would seem that going for the name of a UK Monarch is generally a pretty safe bet.
