I'm not too keen on floyd. Makes me think of pink floyd, but then it's not like any of his peers will know about pink floyd once he's at school.

I do quite like Verity, even if it does remind me of some cow I went to school with.

verity is quite nice, not personally keen on floyd (or lloyd either). much prefer something like finley although quite common (similar letters is why i mentioned it) also for some reason floyd reminds me of the name lewis

Floyd sounds really Brixton to me for some reason, was there a character on tv years ago? Nowt wrong with that but it does seem to come from a different place than public school Verity (Pony Club member).

I love Floyd but for quite random reasons. I'm just really fond of old school Americana names, farmer names, Kansas names. I'd never use it though unless I was American. Verity is OK.

I actually really like Floyd, its simple and not fussy. Verity, quite like it but I knew someone who shortened it to Vez, which I really don't like
