With dd there was a few names on the cards but when she arrived i chose a name that hadnt even been mentioned (her dad didnt even dare to disagree after what id just done)
With these 2 i have had their names chosen from the start then confirmed when i found out its a boy and a girl.

So how many people chose a name at the start and stick with it?

I told Dh on our first date what we would call our daughter it obviously didn't put him off!

We chose dd1,dd2 and dd3's names right at the beginning of the pregnancies and we had a name picked for dd4 but when she was born she just looked like a Tilly so that's what I we named her

Yep, DC3 had his boy's name chosen before I even got pg! It was seriously the ONLY boy's name we both liked.

I did, though if exdp had pushed a bit I may have softened and agreed to his choice.

I thought I had the name chosen, a name I have always wanted since I was about 18.
DD came along and all original names went out the window.
My parents were going to call me Victoria, and indeed I was Victoria for all of 5 days, before my Dad decided I didnt look like one, I am now stuck with my name which I really dislike

Me - although probably not right at the very beginning. It was decided by about 6 months what they were going to be called and we stuck to it, although I think dd3 may have taken a bit longer than 6 months - dds 1&2 were quite convinced Barbie and Cindy were fabulous names!

Yes, DD2's names were chosen before she was even conceived. I did have to wait quite a long time for her though so I had a while in which to come up with them!

We had a boys name ready for DC1, but when he was born I thought "he doesn't look like an xxxx", but I was in quite a state from an emergency section, and promptly fell asleep without saying anything. When I came round there was the little ticket in his crib with his name on it!!! He suits it now though!
DD was named before and she has always suited her name.

Yes - I once taught an Eloise at a girls' school I once taught in and fell in love with the name. When I got pregnant a couple of years later Dh and I agreed her name would be Eloise, her middle name we had agreed on whilst on honeymoon, several years earlier.
