Tommee Tippee Video Monitor Repeat False Alarms

Hi there, my video monitor alarm keeps giving off 3/4 false alarms every night, despite my 6 month son sleeping in the same position above the sensor mat.

I have done everything tommee tippee suggest such as increase the sensitivity, place a board on the slats of the cot beneath the sensor mat etc which hasn't made a difference.

Tommee tippee weren't very helpful when I spoke to them again who told me there is nothing they can do about it and any other monitor I buy will do the same thing.

Does anyone have any other ideas/experience on stopping the false alarms other than turning off the monitor (which defeats the output of buying it in the first place)
