i have been furtively buying sizzix original dies; i'm a childminder and thought die-cuts would be great for cardmaking and collage with my pre-schoolers i really like the sizzix doll bodies and clothes SOOO should i get a sizzix big shot?
i can't decide!!!

I got a bigshot for Xmas last year, use it quite a lot. I use cuttlebug dies in it too, theyre quite cute.

You can use other makes of die with adaptors which are very cheap.

Crafty Devils are good for well priced dies, in Barnstaple and online.

Local enough for a craft shop (Tavistock)

I did a marathon run up there earlier in the year, so I could go to a demo then get DD back in time for a birthday party in the afternoon!

You can use the quickcutz dies but you need an adapter which isnt expensive. It just makes the dies a bit thicker, as the quickcutz ones are very thin.

Ive used the adaptor with a XCut die which is about the same thickness as QC one, and it was fine.

otherwise all the Sissix and Ellison dies work. You need a bigshot rather than the mini version otherwise you cant use the thick cuts/bigz dies, which you can use with other materials, not just paper and card.

I have fairly recently treated myself to a Cuttlebug and I love it. I think the CB and Bigshot are pretty much on par with each other.

I use my QK dies in my CB all the time, as well as CB dies, embossing folders, original Sizzix dies, sizzlets...I love it!!!

Still use my original Sizzix machine to but my little ol' Sidekick has been put to one side and gathering dust!!

Buy your cutting machine on ebay, you can get a new one half the price of any shop.

How much would you be thinking of selling it for Whizz?

Sorry - only just seen this.
To buy one new is around £70-90 as far as I can see online - I am guessing at around £10 to send as a parcel (can't find the weight online) & I also have some dies too but would have to list them separately
how does £45 inc Postage sound - although I would have to check the postage costs as £10 is only a guess!
