HELP - scissor based project for 6yr olds needed for this afternoon

DTDs would like to use their 'patterned' (you know pinking shear type things) scissors this afternoon when they have a play date.

Any suggestions for a mini-project they could do? Its either that or stick a pile of A4 paper on the table and stick it all in teh bin at the end by which time it will all be the size of stamps (or smaller)!!!

We have a few bits on the craft box (glitter shapes, feathers, googly eyes.....) they could use and would happy to let them have pritt stick (but not PVA).

I have a 11m DD3 and will be prepping tea and have the gas man coming to service boiler so supervision and assistance may be a bit 'patchy'.

Got any old catalogues ? My dd loves cutting up old catalogues and making collages ! We sometimes do themes - like a RED collage, or a dolls collage, or a cars collage etc....

paper chains

just simple cutting and sticking from magazines etc

make a bird picture (just thinking those type of scissors will be great for feathers)

Any of these ideas take your fancy? They could make and decorate bookmarks?

oh paper chains is a great idea

make hundreds of 2-3cm strips of tape and stick them all around the table

they cut out strips of paper

hey presto

or they could make cards - my dds love that and they make cards for every single person they have ever met

TY ladies. I love those bookmarks in the link.

I think I may go with the bookmark idea. They can cut some shapes and put them into a collage which they can then trim into a bookmark. I even have some ribbon that they can put a little tassle on with (if I can find my hole punch)...
