New elastic for fitted sheet....

I have a kingsize mattress with a deep mattress (32cm), and I can't get a fitted sheet with decent elastic all the way around the edge, just at each corner, and as a result, they all ruckle up.

I am a reasonably competent sewer, so I plan on sewing a strip of elastic all the way around the hew to pull the sheet tight across the mattress, but what sort of elastic?

Regular or foldable? Recognising that foldable will be harder to fit!

My Dad has similar deep mattress, we bought deeper balance type sheets that work brilliantly, he's not able to make bed very well himself, so we are both pleaded. We got them in Dunelm Mill

Thanks. I have threaded a piece of elastic around the pocket of the entire hem. but to no avail; the valance part of the sheet, though 'deep' is maybe not deep enough.
