Can you glue gun dolls clothes?

Just that really. I was given a glue gun for Christmas (I have no idea why but I've always wanted one). I need to make a couple of dolls outfits for dds party for children to play with (so they may need to go on and off a few times) and I'm thinking glue gun would be far simpler than sewing machine. I'm a novice to these things but always willing to give it a try but don't have a huge amount of fabric if the glue gun option goes wrong. Fwiw the dolls are baby annabel type size.

It would be quick yes but make a god awful mess and I don't think they'd stay together for long. I'd just get the sewing machine out in this case.
