Ive done a hat today but it's a bit shit and I diddnt follow a pattern.

Months ago I did a one day learn to crochet day and made a lopsided granny square. I struggle following patterns, don't understand them, go into the wrong place and lose count.

Hat started off following a pattern and then I gave up. Was meant to me a pillowcase shaped baby hat and ended up round. What was meant to be the bottom ended up as the Middle but it works!

But I need help!

Happy to do hats or chain blankets. Think granny squares are beyond my patience levels.

Attic 24's granny stripe blanket is easy and she has very detailed pictures on her blog with the instructions.

No recommendations for patterns but the Purl Bee blog is very good for granny square instructions. If you are in North Northants or bits of Leicestershire I can show you in person.

Ive just been having a good browse of both those sites, thanks. Have started a crochet Pinterest board now with ideas on it. Not near Leics but thanks for the offer. Some of my friends crochet and are helping so I'm getting there!

I'm still a beginner, so I'm mainly lurking for ideas! But I did make this hat and while my stitch counts were sometimes a bit off I still ended up with a hat at the end.

Bella Coco has some great tutorials in youtube. She did a beanie hat the other week. Loads of other useful stuff on her channel. :)

Second for attic 24 here, her explanations are brilliant she shows you how to do it all. I struggle with proper patterns as well
