card making christmas prezzie ideas

I'm newlt hooked on card making, and wondered if any of you have favourite/essential tools or items that I can drop hints for for Christmas! I dont know anything about paper cutting machines, are these useful or just a luxury?

I'm a Sizzix fan but I know others on here prefer other machines (search the A&C threads - there are loads of discussions !). I would say that it depends on how many cards you make - as it is often easier to use EBay shops just to buy set numbers of pre-cut shapes, rather than buying the machine & dies (which are not that cheap).
