Anyone else keep a "happy" book?

It's really a kind of scrapbook but not in the "scrapbooking" sense of the word. I've kept one for about 20 years now (well, I've filled two now). They're just ordinary scrapbooks, the sort you buy from a stationers, about A3 size. They're full of pictures I have collected, cut out from magazines, postcards, scraps of wrapping paper, bits from catalogues - anything that I see and think "ooh, that's nice". I call them my happy books because browsing through it makes me feel happy!

Quite often when I'm looking for inspiration I will flick back through my books and something will catch my eye, then I'm off

I started one once but didn't have time to carry on with it, I might start it up again - I love the idea.

No but I think that is a great idea. I quite often tear out pictures of magazines and funny articles and then lose them!

I think I may have to get down to the stationers!

Well as you can tell greeny, I don't get to add things to it very often - I'm averaging 10 years for one book

I'm very selective too

But it is a great way to get a "lift" once in a while, even if you don't design/create yourself.
