I have almost finished ds' vstitch blanket -2 rows to go and it'll fit a single bed. Grin

So now I want to edge it. But I'm not sure how. Confused

Can anyone tell me how they did theirs?

That's really lovely. I'm sorry I have no suggestions but place making as I've nearly finished my cosy stripe blanket and starting to think about how to edge it so I may steal some suggestions.

It's gorgeous. I would Google crochet edgings and have a look through until you find something you like. I would go for something quite plain though as anything too fancy would take the interest away from the lovely colours in the blanket.

I often put a few different coloured rounds of HDC and then finish it off with a row of Crab Stitch (also known as Reverse SC)

It's a fairly plain but efective and robust border.

Thanks all! :)

I'm not quite sure how to crochet into the sides of the Vs iyswim. Any suggestions? Or a link to a tutorial? Blush

A plain border is definitely the way to go though.

I think I would probably crochet around one post of the V rather than into it. 2 to 3 stitches per V.

If you look at this thread there is a post on 08-Jul-14 07:17:03 that has a picture of the border I mean.

Won't help with your Vs though!

Oh that's really lovely. I've ordered some wool in rainbow colours to do a big blanket and I might do it like yours! I like the colour changes. Are they randomly changed or is it designed? It works well.

beebaw thank you! Blush

The colours are both planned and random! Wink
I like control and plans so struggle with random. But found a website where you can input te colours, tell it how many stripes and it'll generate a random colour order for you! It's brill! Grin

I'll go and find it, but think you'll just need to google 'biscuits and jam random colour'
