New postal rates - pushing up the cost of home made cards

have'nt checked all previous threads so I may be preaching to the converted.

however DD (3) got a card making kit for her b'day and we used it to make some Thank you cards. When we went to post them were told we need a 'larger letter' stamp as they did'nt fit through the 5m (or whatever) slot. So 3 little homemade cards from a 3 year old, cost 44 oence each to post. One had pompoms stuck on, the other two was felt and googly eyes!

Was about to get DD some foam shapes to make some Christmas cards but am now having a re-think!

This is just to let anyone else know who makes thier own cards etc.

Oh, I know -

Everything I post now is dearer, and I've also had to hide the pompoms from dd!

have decided that DD will continue making cards - but we will be handing them out!

Is riculous, I sent a cardigan through the post for 76p as it fit through the slot but not a home made card!
