Hi

I'd like to make a cover for my DH, does anyone have a pattern for it?

Ideally am looking for a non zip one as I'm terrible with fixing zips!

Thanks all

Search 'working girl lap top bag' on google and there's a downloadable pattern on a site called something like Charmed Leibling that looks nice. Sorry I haven't been able to post the actual link to it as I'm not very computer literate.

I think you should be able to find something by googling. The PP has found a good bag that you could make less girly by using straight lines.

Ideally you should look for a messenger bag (with the flap). Measure the lap top and make it quite a bit bigger (tech term Grin). Then give it loads of padding, when you thing you have enough, add another layer.

Once you have made the basic bag, reinforce the corners and the straps.

If the bag will be exposed to the elements (rather than a car seat) think about a waterproof/canvas etc material. If you want it to look good you may be able to use a bit of old rain coat etc under the top layer of your choice, bearing in mind that the outside material will get wet. Or just make the top flap waterproof.
