Ooh that's brilliant, thank you! Think I've found a pattern that could be used to create almost an exact replica of the one in my link, dd will love it.

I'd like to get my daughter interested in knitting (haven't done it myself for years but loved it as a kid/teen). I've seen this www.notonthehighstreet.com/thelittleknitkitcompany/product/black-cat-knitting-kit but at £22 it seems very expensive for what it is so I'd like to put together a little kit for her myself. Does anyone know where I might find some simple patterns suitable for an 8 year-old to have a go at herself? TIA...
