I've had a 'yarn fast' since the beginning of the year and have used up some of my stash. I'm currently doing a Patons shawl in two ply acrylic and then the next step is a Fair Isle cardigan for me with some Rowan 2ply-knits-as4ply which I bought off a friend who got it at bargain price from the Save the Children shop. When that is finished it will probably be the end of the year and I can start over again. In the meantime I am allowed to buy yarn for a specific purpose.
I have lots of balls of a cashmere cotton blend (unbranded), it's so soft and I have lots of different colours, all very bright. I'd love to make a blanket with it, but then again I like using odd bits for small craft gifts (like key rings, flowers, bookmarks). It sounds like luxury yarn but it was very cheap on eBay. The colours are stunning though.
