I have only recently started SBing and was stunned at how much it cost me to make up an album for my BF birthday. I must have spend about 45 quid to fill up a mulberry wh smith one at 9.99 (which I think are great). Does everyone else buy albums or just buy the fill packs for their layouts or does anyone just use those photo albums which have a cellophane bit that you can detach.

Bearing in mind I have 37 years of photos to scrap for me, 2.5 for ds & 50 for DH

For all the backlog of photos I have to do, I'm just doing what I would call an "enhanced photo album" rather than full on scrapbooking (which tends to be too OTT for my taste anyway). Made fancy lables to lable each photo and am sticking them all in traditional photo albums.

SD, I agree, maybe SB isn't for me as I get a lovely bit of backing paper, put one or two of my superb photographs on it (love photography) and think - it looks good just like that. I will take that on board and maybe just scrap some special photos and do the rest 'enhanced'- I like that Grin

Blush I didn't even bother with the backing paper, I decided the photos looked great against the crips white album page with the coloured tags :o I did finally get to use the little crab and sun eyelets and palm tree brads that I'd bought especially for these holiday photos though!

If I tried to scrap them all "properly" I'd never get them don. This is taking long enough and I've had fun doing all the lables/captions.

Oh god, I've spelt label incorrectly in all my posts on this thread!
