Can you use cosmetic glitter for crafting? (Nail glitter)

I need some glow in the dark glitter for a craft I have in mind but can only find glow in the dark nail glitter for a reasonable price, there is glow in the dark craft glitter but the price

The glitter will be in water so I'm wondering whether cosmetic or nail glitter is as hard wearing as craft glitter? Can I use that instead?

I don't see why not. Surely the cosmetic stuff is just cut smaller but from the same stuff?
