Blanket stitch - can anyone explain it to a novice seemstress please?

Am stitching some fleece shapes on to an old throw to cover holes and horrid patches and know I need to use blanket stitch but I'll be bu&&ered if I can remember how!

Can you help me or point me towards someone who can?

I can do it, but haven't a clue how to start explaining it cadders!!Shock

Make a loose stitch. As you make the 2nd stitch, catch the loop of the first with your needle before going into the fabric again.

needle down through fabric and up inside the loop which is kept to the right of the needle and so on
