Another Woolly Hugs project has been started in desperately sad circumstances
You will already have seen that Beatrice, the daughter of Cupofteaplease, has died. Our thoughts and sympathies are with her family.
Details of the project are www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/1595636-Blanket-for-Cupofteaplease-Crafters-donors-your-help-is-needed-x, the crafters' guide is here and there is also now a Ravelry group for Woolly Hugs, thread here.
Please post if you need any help and support - as before, the Crochet Stars will be popping through, like Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

Thank you lovely Jules - have done your official thanks on Cup's sign up thread
Have just sent my squares
Just bumping for the weekend. Pistey, I have a square for the previous blanket ready to send, was hoping to get Cup's and the mini-hug done too and send in a oner shortly. Ish.

Starting to get a bit concerned that I posted my squares on Friday, I hope they haven't gone astray.

Chinese waves complete.
Now half a seed stitch square but I'm not sure I like it, maybe I should have source a picture first! Maybe squashed in with all your fancy squares it'll look ok!

And if it doesn't , we can always add a crochet border here before we hook it together.

Fraktion, if it's knitting up a wee bit small, remember that if it stretches to 6" it'll be fine

I need to find my stitch markers. Not sure where they are....
I've had to frog my fern lace square 3 times. Can't get the size right
Those are really posh trib. I have the split ring type but can never find one when I need one (blames cats)
Posh ones
cheap ones
Or you can just make a loop of contrasting yarn and use that. You just slip it as you come to it on the needle.

Morning all
Don't think I'd know what a stitch marker looked like!

Stitch markers
now that's done it, u lost me! I'll blindly give it a whirl, what's the worst that can happen?!
It's fine as long as you can tell the difference between a purl and knit stitch by looking, Flojo. If not, you may want to put a few stitch markers in to keep track of the number of stitches.

Size wise I'm ok, I have 39 stitches, but I was just looking at it thinking another couple of rows should do it, when I realised there was something not quite right about it, and when I held it up away from me, I could see a strip across it, not sure what happened! I trying to undo til after the line but couldn't find my place so the whole lot had to go. So glad we have extra time on this! Feeling the pressure more since I got donor wool this time!

Ah , Chinese waves , I did that for expats blanket , a nightmare size wise , do not take it too heart. I can't remember how many stitches I had in the end , about 40 I think, definitely frogged at least twice before the size came right .

Well I'm off the subs bench for now. Doc reckons it is a ganglion cyst but he doesn't think my knitting would make it any worse. Phew!
The bad news is, I finally got back to my knitting and again was an inch off and had to frog it. That's 2 squares, not sure what's going on. I'm only doing Chinese waves! The first one for My5 turned out lovely, this is attempted 3 (I think I keep getting distracted and losing my place!) not much hope when I do something harder is there!
Hi all, has anyone got a nice bee motif I can work into a square for Bea's blanket please? Can't find anything on ravelry, and for the bunting I made little bee toys and sewed them on, which won't really work with a blanket, so I'm stumped!
Eggy glad you like the turquoise throw, I'd make you one, but, since my arms dropped off I can type with my nose, I can't knit with it...

No idea if it's still there. I go look when I have a spare minute. We sat on it eating icecreams in the summer. 'twas a lovely moment
