Easter egg decorating question

probably a dumb one.. but
I got my rellies in USA to send over some American decorating kits, they really didn't work on brown eggs (hard to find brown eggs in USA, hard to find white eggs in the Uk!).
Anyway, if I buy an egg decorating kit in the UK, do you think I can safely assume it will work well on brown chicken eggs?

Lakeland has kits for about £2

I would assume you could just paint a brown egg white with poster paint first couldn't you?

i didn't think of poster paint... wouldn't it be very thick?
Do you have to go into a Lakeland shop to buy those kits? I couldn't find it on their online shop... or in their shop in Norwich when I looked last year.

i use the Lakeland ones on brown eggs.

No time to look at links but do you that boiling eggs with an onion skin in the water makes them a lovely brown colour?

i sent my sis the lakeland kit for a larf, b/c she has three Leghorn hens, and they do work for white eggs if you can get hold of them.

still can't find the kit on the website... but i think the poster paints is a great idea; can't figure out why not to do that!!
