here goes.....

There are four categories

Best of British Scrapbooking
For experienced scrappers who have been at it for longer than a year.
Send 5 photographs of your LO's.

Best New Scrapbooking Talent
Open to those who have been at it less than a year.
Send 5 photographs of your LO's.

Best of British Card Making
Open to those who have been card making for over a year. Send photographs of your 5 best all-time creations.

Best New Card Making talent.
This category is for those who have started card making within the last year. Send 5 photographs of your creations.

You must send photographs/scans and not the original cards/LO's.
You can send the photographs via snail mail or email.

Post your entries to
Scrapboook Inspirations
30 Monmouth Street
Bath
BA1 2BW

or email [email protected]
Make sure you have your camera is set to best quality and that the j.peg image is of a good resolution....if images are too small or blurred they will be discounted.
Top tip....take your photographs outside on a bright day....the sun behind you and your card standing up right....adjust lighting, shadows etc in Picasa 2/photoshop and then crop out any unwanted background blurb.
Closing date Monday 6th Feb 2006.

If you are shortlisted they will request the originals for the final round of judging.

Good Luck.

sshhhh....don't tell anyone but I would love to actually attempt it. Especially as it's only emailling a few photos over. Its the 50 word write up I struggled with....50 words is just not enough for an old chatterbox like me!!!
Then which bloomin cards do I send....gave up and made some new ones as I couldnt choose which to send....then DH comes and pokes his beak in and told me to send some of my old ones...so I was in a real tizzy whizz and spent the next hour re-writing my 50 words....they have gone off now and Im forgetting all about the £2k's worth of Sizzix goodies that are up for grabs.....the ones that have my name written all over them....I wish!

Do you need a 50 word write up for each card/layout at the first stage then JM? when you submit the pics.

Can you enter twice!!!!!!

Was thinking do I try for a novice scrapper or an "old hat" in card making....or can you do both?

Report
JayzMummy · 31/01/2006 10:33

You can enter both categories....old hat is over a year, newbie is less than a year

Thanks JM, I might even give this one a go.

I have my first few "child-free" hours for almost a fortnight. Have done as much housework as I am going to do today and now I am sitting down with a cuppa and making some cards! I have another 45 minutes before I have to pick Amelia up too!!!

Ha ha ha...made 1 card today..which..if I get my act together, will be on of my 5. Sat down over my lunch to do the write up and I am confused!

Do you include a 50 word write up and a list of products/suppliers? or Does the product/supplier have to be part of the 50 words?!!!!!

Tried to get the magazine today but I couldn't find it.

How the hell are you meant to write 50 words about a card??

Report
Dingle · 31/01/2006 13:25

I have just done almost a set of instructions as to how I made it stap by step. I was surprised at how many I ended up with and had to keep summarising!

or even step by step!!
