Sizzix die cuts on ebay

Now that I have my sizzix, I was possibly thinking of selling some die cuts on ebay. Does anyone else do this? Do you think it's worth it?

I have done some research and it seems like you have to sell 60-90 die cuts for £1 upwards. Which is not bad if you are using scrap card, and you only have to sell 8 or so packs to make the money back on the die. But have I got rose tinted glasses?

I don't think you have really, it depends on how long your white plastic think lasts, plus your machine. I read somewhere that a pad lasts for 1000 cuts, could be wrong.

I too, got some dies, have been playing today and am not impressed with them.

My sizzix doesn't seem to cut all around. Any help appreciated.

I think that I rushed into buying certain dies, without really thinking about what I could achieve with them.

I sell on ebay...sometimes I sell loads and then other times nothing!! Its worth having a go.

UCM....new dies are sometimes a bit fussy and need bedding in IYKWIM...the more you use them the better they get.
What dies did you get???

Is that the same for Sizzlets Jaysmummy. Some of my sizzlets don't cut very well. Have put a shim on the cutting pad and that seems to help a bit.

I'm also thinking of selling die cuts on ebay- may give it a go in the new year.
I've asked the local craft shop to stock some die cuts which she's doing- 6 packs to start with and see how it goes- that'd be better for me really as I'd have no fees or postage so need only pay her a %

I've sold diecuts on ebay. You can't reckon on selling every lot you put up, and when you do sell you only make pennies on each lot.

It enabled me to get a few pounds into paypal, but you don't make much out of it really.

UCM have you tried putting a shim under your cutting pad?

Ok, sounding thick here, there was a bit of pink paper in my sizzix box which said 'this is a shim'. Is that what a shim is, an extra bit of paper?
