I need an another idea instead of a card insert. I have thought of printing what i need to onto a piece of nice paper then cutting it out and sticking it in the card but how do i make it look nice and make it look like it isn't just a piece of paper glued into a card?

I sometimes use Safmat from Letraset

Print on using a printer & then the backing peels off like a transfer

After really enjoying making a few concertinaed cards, I started decorating the inside of a few "special" cards too.

Take a look here

Hi JChops! Very basic really. I print of my wording, usually very similar at the wording on an insert, but obviously it can be whatever you want- a poem even. Print it out and cut out into a square/rectangle- whatever shape best suits the wording/card- leaving a nice sized blank border around the edge. I then use decorate it, very simply in a style similar to the card itself. Layer behind with a patterned paper and decorate with a few die cuts, peel-offs, stickers....

It's like making a very simple card, only thing you really need to do is make sure you don't use to much 3D or the card won't lay flat very nicely.

have a look here at some of my designs to see what I mean. I don't have many pics of the insides of the cards but look at the few concertinaed cards, which is how I started. HTH

dingle... your website is fab!!! As are your card designs. I am so envious. I love that you advertise your donation to the charity. I hope that you are able to contribute lots of moolah from this!!

Thanks Kiwi. Problem is that I don't think of it as a website, it's just something thrown together in the summer when I tried to start de-cluttering and selling off some of the kiddies clothes.

I don't advertise it, so no-one really sees it!

I have not seen your website so hopefully am not contributing to a thread already done.

I put in an insert, usually the best mum, dad stuff.

But as an extra I find a particularly poignant poem, print it off.

Rub a sponge with coffee granules on it, to age () and put on the other side of the card.

Job Done!
