Ive posted for any Mumsnetters around the area to see if I can get one for my next door neighbours daughter. She has been bitten by the bug and comes round to borrow mine.

Is there anyone who could pick one up for you. I know from another forum, they cost just over £10 to post.

Ive posted a request in chat to see if there are any Mnetters that live close by who would pick one up for me....Oh I hope there is because my neighbours daughter would be so pleased.

Just looked on multi map at the possiblity of me going! but we would have to go up to the M25 over the Dartford bridge, there is a ferry at Gravesend but only for foot passengers!

Sorry, for that money I would have got a spare one for myself too! ..or is that being greedy!

I have bought her a second hand sidekick for christmas. It had only been used a couple of times and has 8 dies with it.....BUT I know she really wants a Sizzix.

Have you a sidekick too then JM?

I have just got the adaptor to cut the quickutz dies!! Got a few 2nd hand dies from another forum, waiting for them to arrive ATM.
I love the quickutz dies.

It's on the A13 east of london towards Southend.

Its not going to be one of those offers where they only actually have a few in the shop to sell at that price ??
Sorry for being cynical !

Think it would be cheaper for me to order a few bits and pieces online....what with the petrol cost and I wouldn't be tempted to go mad then would I!!!......well, who am I trying to kid..I'll just go mad online!

Hmmm. Veeeerrry tempted but it means going over Dartford Bridge or Woolwich ferry. Neither of which are very nice, particularly the woolwich ferry.

But, that said.....craft bargains.....Oooh. Wish I'd never checked the a&c threads now. I'll lie in bed devising a way to get there. If anyone is really depserate for a Sizzix, contact me via CAT and I'll let you know on the day if I'm going (to the sale or round the bend - it'll be one or the other )

I could get their easily along the A13 but I was just looking through their site.

Can anyone advise me whether I should get the sizzix machine or if the sizzix sidekick is enough (or am I likely to want the machine after playing with the sidekick?!?!).

As for the sizzix machine being available for £10 - their stock level says sold out so I guess they won't be going in the sale tomorrow.

sizzix machines are £60 on paperarts.co.uk if you wanted one... I know it's not a tenner but a little cheaper than kooky kards

Well, we all got up at 7, arrived at Kookykards at 8.30 (DH and DD came so we could buy 2 sizzix) and there was a queue - not massive, maybe about 30 people. Two people came out of the shop and gave out some tickets to people at the front - apparently they only had limited machines, so obviously first come first served - so we came home! I decided there was no point queueing, i will pop to artbase later to ease my crafting addiction!
So sorry jayzmummy, no machines! I will add it back to my birthday list!

what a shame - I was so tempted. If the weather had of been better we could have continued to Southend (never been there). I will look about for those bargains on sizzix machines. Thanks for your suggestion Pol25. I'm still undecided whether to go for the sidekick or the whole hog and get the big machine.

for anyone still wanting a sizzix, I got mine for about £45 with P&P from ebay. Beanie buddy, cutting edge crafts, delivery was excellent.
