Are you thinking about where to give birth?

I am a mumsnetter from Kent, also doing some research for my PhD. I am looking for women up to 24 weeks pregnant in S London (St Thomas' or King's areas) and East Kent NHS area (Canterbury, Thanet, Ashford, Dover), to interview about their experiences of deciding where to give birth- that might be deciding between hospitals, or which type of care in hospitals (midwife led ward or unit, 'home from home' birth centre, home birth, private birth, unassisted birth - anything that's crossed your mind, really...).

You may feel the choice is made already, or out of your hands - but I'd really be interested to interview you and discuss your experiences/thoughts about this.

I'd also like to interview husbands/birth partners. I've been to NHS ethics and have approvals to do my study but I'm having some trouble getting in touch with pregnant women, so I thought I'd try Mumsnet.

If you think you might be interested or would like to hear more, please let me know by responding. I'd also welcome comments about this topic from anyone.

Um, don't think you'll get too many responses by posting in the termination section..... but you never know.

Hi Peanuthead
I am sure you are right, I thought maybe people would look here during the antenatal period of their pregnancy, but I should look to put the thread elsewhere, perhaps on the pregnancy section. Thank you for the feedback.
