Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Hi Tori

Briefly, I am sorry for the experience you have had. I too have a healthy 2 year old, am 34, and have had 2 terminations in the last 12 months, both for conditions incompatible with life, detected at the nuchal scan and then at the anomaly scan. I too am very anxious.

There are a few of us in the same boat on this thread

people here have miscarried, terminated for abnormalities or are sympathetic to us! Please do join us - we talk about anything and everything but we all share your anxiety about having a healthy child.

Hi
A friend suggested I give this a try so here goes. This year has been a bit of a rollercoaster to say the least. In June I miscarried at 7 weeks which was a horible experience in itself. I got pregnant straight away but at the 12 week scan was given a 1:2 chance of chromasonal abnormalities, so I had the CVS and it came back positive for Edwards. I felt like at this point we had no choice but to terminate, the chances of the baby actually making it through the pregnancy was slim and to loose it after it was born would have been even more devastating. So now I am wondering if it is ever going to happen. I have a very healthy 2 year old and am 36 and never thought having another one would be so difficult. Would love to chat to others in a similar positionxx

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
