I took my daughter to what we thought was her booking in appointment, she was very nervous as she didnt know what to expect, turns out she came out more stressed than when she went in as the midwife said she didnt have an appointment and her next appointment would be the 20th Feb, that will make her roughly around 16 or 17 weeks (scan date is 17th feb so we'll know then)
Is it a little late for a booking in appointment at 16/17 weeks, should we be asking why or should we just leave it and go with the flow ?
I'd be more concerned about how late the scan is. It should be at 12-13 weeks, incase she wants the extra tests done. Any later than that & they can't do them. Has she got a letter about the scan? There's usually a number to call if she can't make it. It's probably worth calling that number & pointing out that she needs an earlier scan.
Booking appointments do usually happen before the scan but I think they do it at the scan appointment in some areas. Again, it's worth giving them a ring & just checking the information.
Congratulations on your impending grandmother-hood!
