I am currently pregnant with first, 30 weeks now. Haven't seen a midwife since booking an appointment, but have had usual scans. Everything seems to be going ok.

Just wondered if this was normal not to have seen a midwife yet and what other mums experiences were.

Am booked in at liverpool women's hospital.

Have you booked any appointments? In your notes it should have a schedule of appointments, and you book them yourself where you would usually see the midwife. Either at your GP surgery, or some are in drop ins at childrens centres etc.

You would probably be expected to have appointments at 25 and 28 weeks for your first baby.

Make an appointment ASAP :)

Argh! Didn't realise I needed to book them myself. Thank you so much, will call them ASAP. I just assumed they would send me appointments.

I second the having to book them yourself I saw the midwife in my gp surgery.

I booked mine myself, either through GP surgery or, this time around MW personally. It's in the hand held notes at what stages you should be having them.

But, to be fair to you - I'd have thought you'd have had a reminder by now from your GP or midwife team.

Just to add I saw my midwife every two/three weeks from 25 weeks so you should be seeing them regularly by now which part of liverpool are you? Do you have the number for the midwives?
