Are you a little/petite person?

I say that because I am 5 10 and a 14-16 and have had two babies who always measured large (at 20 week scans) and were born early. I had concern that they were both growing too big etc etc and was scanned a few times and under a consultant. I freaked out at first but all was well, I think if you fall out of 'the norm' they just want to double check and keep and eye on you and the baby. They also had big head measurements, but they were long babies when they were born so all in proportion.

I am sure it will all be fine, my neighbours was told the baby was too small by a new midwife, but after a scond scan a week of panicing later, was told the baby was fine.

Try not to worry, theres a lot to take on board when pregnant, but try and relax as much as poss. Keep us posted.

hello
well i went to my appointment yesterday and they agree the baby is v small they think it likley to be due to it either being a small baby or a issue with my placenta they want to scan me fortnightly to keep an eye on the babies growth if it has not grown by my next appointment on 8th dec then they advice a amnio.
but she thinks it very unlikley to be anything like downs so just hoping the baby grows for my next scan!!!!
southampton were fantastic and said i will remain under there care until they have monitored and charted the babys growth for majority of the pregnancy and can rule out problems with my placenta if it is a issue with my placenta i will remain in the care for the pregnancy an labour
