Anti-climax after giving birth

Recently gave birth to twins. They were a bit premature and the birth was difficult but they are now home and healthy.

Was just wondering if anyone else has felt a sense of anticlimax after giving birth? I know I should be grateful too have two healthy babies, and I am, but I so enjoyed being pregnant. These are our first and everything was so exciting, the scans, shopping and anticipation. Was nice to be made a fuss of.

The time also seems to going so fast I am trying to savour every moment but they are growing before my eyes!!

These feelings have been driving me mad, although not so bad the last week or so.

Has anyone else felt this way?

Congratulations! I had the opposite. I hated being pregnant and loved the first few months as it was all so new and special.

I think that perhaps you're suffering from the shock of having two to look after....my sister was like a zombie for a year after having her twins.

Are you getting much help?

Thanks

Yes luckily we are both at home for the first three months, and split it 50/50.The first few weeks were very hard but things have got easier.
