PND 5 months on?

Hi all. I had a baby around 5 months ago. Every month, I go through a week or so of feeling very down, tearful, anxious (bordering on paranoid when it comes to the safety of my children). Then it goes and I feel ok again.
I seem to be going through a period of it now - I've got so much to be happy about, I don't really understand what's going on.
Is this just hormones playing up? I haven't started my periods yet and I'm EBF. Has anyone else had this on and off?

Hi Dotty,
I saw that this hadn't been answered. I didn't have PND but certainly noticed an uplift in mood when I stopped BFing DD when she was 13ish months.
Have a chat with the health visitor about how you're feeling.... I'm sure there are other people out there who have been through this and will hopefully see your thread Flowers

I suffered very severe PMS after birth. Not the usual crankiness, mood would hit a bad low, I'd be horribly depressed and extremely anxious, insomniac and agitated.
Birth sent my hormones completely haywire.
Breastfeeding was certainly not the best thing for me, unfortunately.
