I am 40, 11 weeks, unplanned. 1 3yr ds. Devasted and dont know where to turn. Terrible birth, pnd - realise i havent addressed this as this has hit me like a hammer. Cry all the time. MW was going to see me today but too busy - exactly same treatment i received last time. Blood transfusion and told to go home after 3 days. I feel i might break. Have contacted doc and bpas no help. V concerned by my mental health. 3 mths so happy and carefree.

Oh no. You poor thing. I don't totally understand all the ins and outs of your post, but it sounds like you need to get some help. Is the father around - can you ask for some support?

Ring your midwife number at the hospital and ask to speak to the senior consultant midwife and do not come off the phone until someone has gone to get her.

If you don't feel you have the fight in you, please pm me and I will give you my number and we will talk before I take on the job of tackling your senior midwife for you. I am here and I promise to help Thanks

Does your employer have a counselling service? You may be able to talk to someone on the phone today.

Why can't your GP help? Please call back and ask for an emergency appointment.

Perhaps try this website for some specialist help: www.babyblues.nhs.uk
