So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

talulahbelle Fri 15-Nov-13 16:34:12

I'm due very end of July too. It will be my first and I know they are often late though so I think this is the thread for me smile

I'm excited, scared and hopeful all at once. What symptoms do you have?

Hollyjokes Fri 15-Nov-13 16:59:25

Hi tallulah and congratulations!

Symptoms so far are nausea that comes and goes, tiredness and I've lost my appetite a bit. How about you?

Do you have a due date from your LMP so we can start a due date list while we wait for others to join us?

talulahbelle Fri 15-Nov-13 17:09:39

Congratulations to you too smile

I have slight nausea (that vanishes when I am full, so I'm eating even though I'm not hungry) incredibly sore boobs, I'm weeing nearly every hour and have the occasional headache. Most annoying is the waking in the night to wee and then not being able to get back to sleep!

I think my due date is 26th July.

I'm still at the POAS every morning stage at the moment, I'm hoping that tomorrow's line will be darker that today's.

Hollyjokes Fri 15-Nov-13 17:36:18

I'm doing the same thing, I'm still poas every morning to check I didn't imagine it! The lines are finally coming up straight away now although not as dark as I'd like just yet. If it wasn't for the digi test I did then I'm not sure if I'd believe it yet!

Have you arranged your booking in appointment yet? And have you told anyone in real life apart from your DH/P?

Babymamatobe Fri 15-Nov-13 18:04:47

Hey ladies,

I'm gonna join as well, due 26th July but pretty sure it will be an august baby. I'm having the same symptoms, tired, loss of appetite etc, but I view them as all very positive signs!

Hope you ladies are keeping well x

talulahbelle Fri 15-Nov-13 18:08:27

Welcome due date buddy smile

I've not arranged anything yet, and haven't even told DH blush We are testing with a digital tomorrow and he doesn't know about the internet cheapies I've been using grin

Fingers crossed things continue to go well for all of us.

Babymamatobe Fri 15-Nov-13 18:27:13

Aw how exciting! I was planning on telling DH this morning as we had a wee day off work together, but he clicked into my pregnancy app on my iPad and saw that I was 3 weeks and 3 days pregnant!! Not the way I planned on telling him, but it's all good now :-)

Due date buddies - hopefully we'll keep each other sane!! LOL

Hollyjokes Fri 15-Nov-13 18:32:06

Talulah how exciting! You'll have to come and tell us all about your DH's reaction once you've done the digi together smile

Hi babymama! Great to see you here! I'm a recent namechanger as I'm totally paranoid about people I don't yet want to know in real life recognising some of my other posts and then finding me here, silly I know! If you're not sure who I am let me know and I'll pm you smile

Hollyjokes Fri 15-Nov-13 18:33:58

Due dates:

TalulahBelle 26th July
Babymamatobe 26th July
Hollyjokes 27th July

Babymamatobe Fri 15-Nov-13 18:46:07

Hi Hollyjokes, I think I know who you are from recent going on's!

So excited for us both!!

Hollyjokes Fri 15-Nov-13 23:12:59

Phew! I'll keep this name then!

I'm excited for us all too! I confided in my best friend tonight and she was over the moon for us, it was lovely smile

When are you both going to tell people? I'm hoping to keep it a secret from family/friends until Christmas at least and hopefully not tell work until after 12wk scan. It's going to be really difficult to hide over the Christmas party season though! confused

talulahbelle Sat 16-Nov-13 08:03:30

Did my digital test this morning and got a Pregnant 1-2 weeks. Cautiously happy, though as I'm 2 weeks exactly from conception I'm now thinking it should have said 2-3 weeks. DH happy, gave me a big hug and asked me if I wanted breakfast in bed grin

Babymamatobe Sat 16-Nov-13 08:59:16

Aw that's lovely Talulahbelle! They can be very sweet, when I confirmed with a digi, my DH pulled the covers back, leaned forward and said good morning to my belly!

So far, I've only told my sister, although I'm sure family will guess when I'm not drinking at Xmas, but I'm going to use the excuse that I'm too hungover from the night before LOL but my brother-in-law has already spotted that I'm not drinking any fizzy drinks with caffeine in them!

Holly, I'm the same, not wanting to tell work till after 12 week scan but my job involves a bit of travelling and some quite long hours, so if it's getting too much I might tell my line manager so they understand why I'm not doing as much as I normally do. I'm not prepared to put our little bundle at risk.

Tomorrow is the day AF would be due, I don't know why, but I'm really worried that she'll arrive! I really want to book a private scan at 8 weeks to be sure everything is ok, but DH wants to wait till 12 weeks :-(

Hollyjokes Sat 16-Nov-13 09:10:59

Aw Talulah, bless your DH smile Don't worry about the 1-2 weeks thing, maybe it just took an extra day or two for the egg to implant than you thought. I bet if you took another test say Monday it would say 2-3 weeks.

Baby I know the feeling, my AF is due today/tomorrow too. I keep expecting AF to have started every time I go to the loo! I'm going to wait until I'm sure she isn't coming before I call for my booking in appointment.

Babymamatobe Sat 16-Nov-13 09:21:14

I got the doctor to confirm yesterday but because it was still early days it was only a feint line so I'm going to test again tomorrow just to make sure!! LOL

Apparently I don't get a booking in appt, she has referred me to the hospital and all I get is a letter with a scan date.

Is it just me or are we kind of left to our own devices until 12 weeks? I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 8 weeks!

Hollyjokes Sat 16-Nov-13 10:53:53

I tested again today with an IC, the line is still the same as yesterday. I think I'll test again tomorrow or Monday and hope for a darker line then.

Were you going to the doctors anyway baby or was it to confirm your pregnancy? In my area I don't see a doctor at all, I self refer to the midwives and have a booking appointment around 8 weeks, they just go over my medical history and give me my maternity notes file. I think they take blood then too but can't remember what for?! Then yep, that's it till 12wk scan! That seems like ages away right now, doesn't it?

Babymamatobe Sat 16-Nov-13 11:27:11

Yeah I already had an appt with the doctor anyway bit spoke to the surgery and they said she'd confirm if I took a urine sample. I don't think I'll last till 12 weeks, so scared something is going to go wrong, I really want to book a private test around 8 weeks, but it's extra outlay just before Xmas!

Hollyjokes Sat 16-Nov-13 11:42:36

The private scan place nearest to me does early reassurance scans from 7 weeks for £55. Have a google of the private scan places in your area, sometimes they have offers on so you might be able to have a early scan for less money? This early part and the waiting is so difficult isn't it? I went back to the IC I did this morning and the line looks a bit darker than it did earlier, which is a bit reassuring. However, I've got a bit of cramping which feels like pre-AF pains. I've read that lots of women get this but it's still hard not to worry!

Babymamatobe Sat 16-Nov-13 11:51:09

It is! I did an asda test this morning and the line was so feint, I'm going to buy a digi to do in the morning. AF isn't due till tomorrow so I know my hcg levels will still be low-ish but I keep worrying about a chemical pregnancy. Fingers crossed tomorrow brings a good result on the digi and no AF!!

I've already phoned the private clinic here but they can't get me a Price until Monday but I definitely want an early scan. I know a couple of people who have mc'd at 8 weeks and I don't think I can go through the next 8 weeks not knowing.

Hollyjokes Sat 16-Nov-13 15:28:02

Ah I hope the private clinic comes back to you with good news on Monday baby. I might get another digi to do on Monday or Tuesday too to make sure the number of weeks since conception is rising. I didn't have an early scan with DC1 but I'm much more panicky this time around as although I have symptoms, they don't seem as obvious as they did last time, so I might speak to DH about having an early scan too. What does your DH think?

Babymamatobe Sat 16-Nov-13 16:34:36

DH thinks we should just wait for the 12 week scan, but I really just need to know its progressing as it should. I've read elsewhere that the clinic charges £100, which I kind of grudge paying. There's a clinic about 50 miles away that does it for £55 so might give that one a shot!

I've just been out and bought a digi too!! LOL

talulahbelle Sat 16-Nov-13 17:35:19

I have another digital test (had a 2 pack) I am going to use it next Saturday if I get that far. I keep on getting the fear that I am not pregnant/it's another chemical/my symptoms are vanishing. I definitely feel less sick today, although my boobs are still very sore. I just wish I could relax and enjoy these early days.
I'm going to try and get a doctor's appointment next week and ask for an early scan. I had a ruptured ectopic at the start of the year so hopefully I should be able to. If not I will definitely be paying for a private scan.

Babymamatobe Sat 16-Nov-13 18:27:13

It's such a worrying time Talulahbelle, I am feeling the same now that I feel my symptoms have gone. I did feel pretty neaseous this afternoon, but feel absolutely fine now and not tired either!! Hmmm think I'll do an IC tomorrow morning and save my digi for later in the week!

Fx for you x

Hollyjokes Sat 16-Nov-13 21:24:44

Ladies, the same thing has happened to me! I haven't felt sick today at all and my boobs still aren't sore (they were killing me by this point in my first pregnancy). My only symptom today has been tiredness, but not overwhelmingly so. I've had cramps on and off too. Will definitely test again in the morning with a cheapie and will get another digi in a few days. I'm so glad you both understand how worrying it is as my DH just keeps saying to me 'it'll be fine!' Not that I want either if you to be worried, but you know what I mean!

talulahbelle Sun 17-Nov-13 08:20:31

I did another IC this morning, and only 2hrs after a 6am wee and drink of water. I got a lovely strong line so am grin grin

I feel maybe a little more tired and fluffy headed but that's it for symptoms. I just wish I could FF the next 8 weeks.

Babymamatobe Sun 17-Nov-13 08:25:55

I got a line too this morning!! Think I'll be testing everyday until the scan LOL

Hollyjokes Sun 17-Nov-13 09:04:48

Great news ladies! I also poas (IC) this morning and got a line pretty much straight away. The line is also pretty obvious now, the darkest it's been yet smile

I still have about 10 ICs left so can continue to poas every day for now. I think I'll still get another digi later in the week just so I can see the weeks since conception rise, as I think this will reassure me further.

How are you both feeling today, symptom wise?

talulahbelle Sun 17-Nov-13 09:54:46

holly Symptoms wise not a lot. I have a very noisy stomach today and (TMI) had diarrhea this am. I feel tired and lazy today and plan to spend the day doing nothing much. My boobs are still quite sore, I am waking up in the night to wee, and I am also having amazing vivid dreams.

We are due to go out for a meal and drinks for DHs birthday on Friday, goodness knows how I am going to hide not drinking.

When are you all telling people? This is an FET pregnancy, partly funded by my PIL, so they know that I am potentially pregnant although we have not confirmed it to them yet. DH thinks he will let them know by phone maybe today (they live 4hrs drive away) and we will hopefully see them at Xmas with early scan pics. I'm not telling my family until we have had a scan and seen the heartbeat.

Babymamatobe Sun 17-Nov-13 11:10:30

I'm not feeling too bad this morning. Just been out a long walk with DH and the dog and it's blown away a few cobwebs!

I'm not planning on telling anyone till after 12 week scan, only person that knows is my sister.

Got a family dinner tonight, so I'm going with the excuse that I drank too much last night and am too hungover to drink LOL

Hollyjokes Sun 17-Nov-13 11:10:54

Aw Talulah I bet your PILs will be over the moon when they find out (and the rest of your families too, of course!)

I'm going out on Friday too! It's a charity party for a friend so I definitely have to go but luckily DH will be there too so hopefully I can hide not drinking by getting DH to get me a coke or something and saying there's vodka in it if anyone asks. I'm more worried about my work Xmas do as it's a meal with drinks ordered to the table so it'll be a lot trickier to hide then I think. I don't really want to tell work until January confused

My best friend knows and has been sworn to secrecy. I will probably tell my parents soon but I'm not quite ready yet for my mum to start fussing smile We will tell the rest of our families at Christmas I think and then ask everyone to keep it quiet until after I've told work.

Symptoms are tiredness and peeing loads. I still have a bit of cramping too plus the nausea has returned today on and off. I feel a lot more pregnant than I did yesterday which is reassuring and scary at the same time! smile

Hollyjokes Sun 17-Nov-13 11:12:07

Baby I'm going for a walk later too, hoping it wakes me up a bit! grin

talulahbelle Sun 17-Nov-13 16:30:30

I feel very tired (although not sleepy) slightly dizzy and vaguely nauseous this afternoon. All good sighs I hope. I also have some alarming but faint cramps, not quite like AF ones but still worrying. I'm also on progesterone pessaries until 12weeks which dribble horribly, leading to constant knicker checking. The glamour...

How's everyone's day been? I must admit I am not looking forward to work tomorrow.

Hollyjokes Sun 17-Nov-13 17:44:22

I'm terribly bloated to the extent where it's getting quite painful. It only stops hurting when I'm lying flat on my back. I hope that this is normal... confused

Talulah "the glamour" just about sums it up! Hehe!

talulahbelle Sun 17-Nov-13 22:05:16

Anyone else got indigestion? I've got quite painful gas cramps. Also more worryingly strong AF type cramps sad

Am going to head to bed and hope they calm down overnight.

Hollyjokes Sun 17-Nov-13 22:16:37

Talulah I think it might be gas cramps that I'm feeling too. I've got AF type cramps really low down but then painful cramps high up and my stomach feels all bloated and hard. I'm hoping it calms down overnight too. Hope you manage to sleep well x

Hollyjokes Mon 18-Nov-13 10:24:57

Morning ladies, how are you doing? I'm a happy bunny today! The cramping has eased loads and I slept quite well. Tested again this morning with an IC and got a nice dark line so I called and made my booking in appointment. I'll be 7 weeks pg at the appointment - didn't expect it to be so soon! It's all feeling a lot more real now smile

talulahbelle Mon 18-Nov-13 12:23:02

I'm getting a lot more cramping, including in my lower back. The line looked lighter today too. I know there's nothing to do except keep my fingers crossed but it's just so hard.
My cat is seriously ill at the vets as well so all in all a lot of tears today sad

Hollyjokes Mon 18-Nov-13 16:58:34

Oh Talulah I'm so sorry. I really hope that there's something the vet can do for your cat. The cramping is scary isn't it, as you automatically think that pain=problem, but I think it's actually pretty normal as everything is stretching and getting ready to hits your baby. As long as you haven't had any bleeding (not that it would definitely mean something was wrong even if you did) then I'm sure that everything is just fine. Maybe take another digi test to see the word 'pregnant' rather than stare at lines? I hope you're ok. Sending you hugs x

Hollyjokes Mon 18-Nov-13 16:59:26

HOST* your baby! Not hits! blush

Babymamatobe Mon 18-Nov-13 18:24:26

Hi ladies, hope you're well, and hope the cat's ok Talulahbelle, they really are part of the family!

Well I've had a fairly rubbish day! Got into work after a week off and my diary has been booked up for this week, including at least 10 hours of driving ontop of meetings all in the same day!! I got quite a bit of attitude when I refused to do it, so I've had to tell my work today to let them understand that I'm not just being awkward. But I'm really annoyed that it came to that, it's a ridiculous amout of travel to expect someone to do, pregnant or not!!

No nausea today apart from first thing, however, my back is fairly sore so I've had to purchase the old hot water bottle and hope for some relief.

Glad to hear about the nice strong line holly, let's keep them coming!

Hollyjokes Mon 18-Nov-13 20:25:26

Baby that sounds like a really difficult week, good on you for telling them no! smile I'm actually still on maternity leave from having my first baby so I'm making the most of being able to squeeze in afternoon naps while I still can. I'll be going back to work not long after my 12wk scan I think.

talulahbelle Mon 18-Nov-13 20:36:43

Cat is very ill, next two days will be crucial. Very worried about her. She's been my baby for the past 6 years sad
All symptoms pretty much gone except for AF style cramps, even my boobs are back to normal. If this was a normal cycle I would be expecting AF tomorrow from the way I feel. Trouble is I am on fairly hefty doses of hormones (this is a FET pregnancy) so if the pregnancy isn't viable I just don't know what my body will do.
Another test tomorrow morning, I hope the line gets darker.

TheBookofRuth Mon 18-Nov-13 22:07:38

Hello, can I join too? Another end-of July due date - 29th - for DC no.2. DD will be 2.6 when her brother or sister arrives.

Hollyjokes Mon 18-Nov-13 22:20:55

Talulah I'm keeping everything crossed for you that your cat pulls through. I also hope that you see a darker test line in the morning and that it helps to reassure you. Are you due to see a doctor or midwife soon?

Hi BookOfRuth, welcome and congratulations! smile This is DC2 for me too. How are you feeling?

Babymamatobe Tue 19-Nov-13 06:07:59

Morning everyone, and welcome aboard BookofRuth!

Did an IC this morning and there was a lovely dark line, the darkest yet - feeling a little more relaxed!!!

Have a good day, looking forward to catching up tonight!

TheBookofRuth Tue 19-Nov-13 07:00:35

Morning everyone, how are we all today? Hollyjokes, I don't feel too bad - sore boobs, and moody as hell, both of which could pass for normal pms symptoms. But I'm also a bit nauseous, and having weird dreams every night, which happened throughout most of my last pregnancy.

The sore boobs are the worst, as I'm still breast feeding DD, and she seems to find my cries of pain highly entertaining!

Hollyjokes Tue 19-Nov-13 07:48:10

That's great baby! I haven't poas today yet but I'm sure I will do at some point! Hope you have an easier day today now that your work knows your pg smile

Ruth I'm having weird vivid dreams too! I also had to get up to pee during the night for the first time last night - so it begins!! I don't have sore boobs at all, which I'm surprised at, as they were definitely killing me by this point when I was pg with DD. I'm hoping that my nausea doesn't develop into full blown sickness this time too!

baggyoldcow Tue 19-Nov-13 07:54:55

Morning ladies, can I join in here? My due date is 24 or 25th July so I feel more in tune with you lot than all those old timers on the July bus... wink

I ran out of ICs on Sat and determined to hold off getting any more as it freaks me out a bit. But now I'm feeling a bit jealous reading about your lines today!

Babymamatobe Tue 19-Nov-13 08:03:01

Welcome to the thread Baggy!! I'm going to keep poas until I get my scan!! Maybe not everyday but at least once a week, I'm terrified something is going to go wrong!! It scares me when people on other threads miscarried and didn't find out for 3 weeks till they got the scan so seeing nice strong lines every week is my method of slight reassurance!! LOL

Hollyjokes Tue 19-Nov-13 08:29:27

Hi baggy smile
I responded to your post on the July thread about feeling bloated and said I'm sure I already look about 5 months pg confused I can't remember if the bloating eases or not? If not then I think it's going to be difficult to hide before much longer!

Hi all
I was previously on May2014 forum but unfortunately had a miscarriage and surprise surprise bfp again after waiting for 1 AF. I'm naturally a worrier so I'm quite worried it would happen again but I just have to be more relaxed I guess and fingers crossed for the best! Due date calendar says 28 Jul so hoping I could join u all.

baggyoldcow Tue 19-Nov-13 09:47:56

Hi babymama - I know the feeling. I had a chemical last cycle so I'm pretty cautious now too, but I also know I'll start over-analysing the depth of colour / thickness of lines etc. and drive myself nuts that way.
Holly - will check out your response in July thread. I'm not sure the bloating eases, but the bump rather catches up, I seem to recall. Oh well.
Welcome Ally, sounds like we are in the same boat. I'm v. nervous too, but trying to be optimistic!

Hollyjokes Tue 19-Nov-13 10:20:30

Baggy I'm not too worried about having a proper bump earlier than last time, in fact I'd prefer it so I actually look pregnant rather than I've just been eating too many pies grin I'm hoping that it holds off a bit until after all the Xmas parties though as I don't really want to start telling people until Xmas at least.

Hi Ally and welcome. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I really hope that everything goes well for you this time x

I'm happy to report a darker line this morning, and feeling very much nauseous before breakfast. I really had to force it down but felt a lot better after I'd eaten.
I'm a teacher, and am finding the extra wearing annoying. 6th form classes can be trusted and left, but by others not so much.

TheBookofRuth Tue 19-Nov-13 19:06:18

Boak. Changing the devil's own nappy whilst dealing with nausea is NOT fun. Just nearly upchucked over my toddler!

funkymonk Tue 19-Nov-13 21:05:00

Hi ladies. I'm going to join here is you don't mind. I am also on the July thread. My due date from LMP is 25th July but I know from ovulating on day 17 that due date is more like 28th July. This is my first baby and like some of you is my first pregnancy since miscarriage. I am shitting it! I keep running to the toilet to check knickers for bleeding.

Tested positive on Friday and have been testing daily since. The lines are getting darker, though still not as dark as I'd like them to be. Had some on/off rather painful cramps (some of which happened in tesco today and I thought I might just have to sit down in the middle of the aisle!), get full very quickly when eating and am currently extremely bloated after eating my tea (look a good few months preggers!)

funkymonk Tue 19-Nov-13 21:07:30

What do you gals think about adding age and # of children next to names?? We may as well get to know each other seeing as we'll hopefully be spending the next 8 months together! xx

Aw lovely Dinky, I bet they will be so excited to get a new little brother or sister.

Argh my MW booking in confirmation letter has arrived in the post! It's all seeming a lot more real now!

mine are 6, 4 and just 3.

It's a big shift from one to two, but after that it's just such chaos you slacken off relax a bit smile

DinkyMole Wed 20-Nov-13 10:01:27

I haven't even called about a doctors appointment yet - that all seems a bit "real". I'm 12dpo today with a 14 day LP so I might leave it a week..

Hollyjokes Wed 20-Nov-13 10:10:27

I phoned early in case there was a waiting list for appointments with Christmas holidays coming up, but they gave me an appointment for when I'll be 7 weeks! Do any of you know if we are allowed to take other children to MW booking in and first scan? DH will be coming with me so we would have to get childcare otherwise, but we don't want to tell anyone else yet!

Hollyjokes Wed 20-Nov-13 10:11:19

If it makes any difference, DD can't walk yet so she would be sitting on DH's lap throughout.

talulahbelle Wed 20-Nov-13 11:01:36

A definite sicky yuk feeling for me this morning, but more cramps too which is scary. Probably connected to my increasingly dodgy guts.
TMI but I am also thinking I am starting with an attack of thrush. Anyone know if I can take anything?

I find by 11am and if I force myself to eat I feel better but it's hard, all I want to do is sleep.

talulahbelle Wed 20-Nov-13 11:02:52

Oh, my first doctors appointment is Monday. I'm going to try and get an early scan after my ectopic in Feb, and if they won't refer me I will pay for a private one.

DinkyMole Wed 20-Nov-13 11:04:28

That's usually fine. I took DS1 when I was expecting DS2. Perhaps I'll ring the doctors later. It really hasn't sunk in!

TheBookofRuth Wed 20-Nov-13 12:14:13

I wasn't going to bother with a doctors appointment, was just going to self-refer to the midwifery service when I'm a bit further along. My last pregnancy was classed as high-risk for a number of fairly spurious reasons, resulting in my being poked and prodded by various medical professionals on an all too frequent basis, so I want to put that off for as long as possible.

Hollyjokes Wed 20-Nov-13 12:18:08

Great, thanks Dinky. DD will definitely be coming along to the booking appointment and I will take her the scan too then I think.

Talulah I think they should definitely offer you an early scan. How many weeks would you be when you have it?

Ruth I self referred to the midwives too. I did call the GP surgery first and the receptionist told me that I didn't need to see the GP unless I wasn't keeping the baby?!

DinkyMole Wed 20-Nov-13 12:38:47

I'd speak to a doctor about thrush medication. I think you can have external but not internal stuff. Live natural yoghurt on a tampon should work.

eeyore2911 Wed 20-Nov-13 13:11:17

Can I join in? I'm probably due about 27th July smile I'm 33 and have 2 DS so outnumbered in my house! I'm a nurse and haven't phoned Drs or anything yet but maybe I should as we are off to Italy on Tuesday yay!!grin

baggyoldcow Wed 20-Nov-13 13:45:03

Welcome eeyore!

Holly, just a warning, when I took DD in (aged about 18m) to a scan she went NUTS. Husband had to take her out and all I could hear for the rest of the scan was her screaming out in the corridor. I think it was seeing me prone with the prodding, big screens etc. that did it!

Hollyjokes Wed 20-Nov-13 15:22:47

Hi eeyore, welcome and congrats! Jealous of your trip to Italy, I would love a holiday right now!

Baggy, DD will be around 10 and a half months when I have my scan. I would be gutted if she started shouting and DH had to leave the room with her. Maybe I'll leave her with my mum, I'm sure I'll have told her by then. She's definitely going to have to come with us to the booking appointment though.

eeyore2911 Wed 20-Nov-13 15:49:36

Thanks for the welcome smile I hadn't thought about taking DS to scan... He'll have to I suppose, he's 19 months and usually quite er... Inquisitive... shock

eeyore2911 Wed 20-Nov-13 15:50:56

And we couldn't not go on hols... £14.99 each way and I do love a bargain!!! thanks

baggyoldcow Wed 20-Nov-13 18:10:52

Yes, holly, it was really awful! I couldn't concentrate on what the sonographer was saying at all. In retrospect it was quite funny actually as I had this scan in Germany and being Germanic everyone at the clinic was very stiff and shocked by my baby screaming the place down! She was 14m I've now worked out. So yes, I'd think twice about it if I were you (and you eeyore), they might get very upset.

£14.99 each way???

DinkyMole Wed 20-Nov-13 18:18:53

Oh dear baggy! I think my son would have been about 20 months or so and he quite liked it. We took him to the 3d one too.

Gosh I am EXHAUSTED. I'm actually that tired that my legs are shaking when I stand up shock dinner bath and bed I think!
Tempted to test with a digi in the morning but I'll still only be 13dpo and I don't want to waste it.

eeyore2911 Wed 20-Nov-13 18:33:05

Maybe I'll see if I can farm DS out somewhere! And yep £14.99 each way East Mids to Venice shock

Babymamatobe Wed 20-Nov-13 19:53:32

Hey everyone, been posted missing lately!! I'm 33 and this is number 1 for us.

Excitement is going into overdrive now! Hope you're all well x

Hollyjokes Wed 20-Nov-13 20:22:43

What a bargain eeyore! shocksmile

Dinky I am exhausted too. I've had a really busy day today and I'm now slumped on the sofa watching masterchef - the kitchen is a state but I can't be bothered to care!

Babymama I'm so excited too! Can't believe that I'm not even quite 5wks yet. I need to step away from the double pram google searches before I drive myself crazy! grin

Babymamatobe Wed 20-Nov-13 21:19:04

Same holly!! Time is going so slowly!!!

Allypallyjelly Thu 21-Nov-13 07:09:23

Hi everyone,
Sorry for being MiA. No morning sickness but headache and diarrhoea ! Did a cb digital and it's showing 2-3 weeks so I guess I'm on the right track (?!). I think I'll leave it til next week before referring to midwife led unit at uch (instead of whittington).
Stats: Allypallyjelly 28th July 2014 30yrs old DC#1
Fingers crossed it will all go ok for us xxx

baggyoldcow Thu 21-Nov-13 08:06:24

Morning Ally, I'll add you in a mo. UCH is great, my sister had her babies there!

I had at least 8 hours sleep last night (minor pee-break at 3, but got back to sleep pretty quickly) - but I feel absolutely shattered this morning. Skipped swimming which is a bit naughty, but I just didn't have the energy.

Am now really trying to resist going to the canteen and buying something BAD like a sausage roll to help me along with the morning.

Hollyjokes Thu 21-Nov-13 09:22:18

Hi 2be! Congratulations and welcome smile

Baggy I'm exhausted too. Got about 7 and a half hours sleep and it was nowhere near enough. I'm like a walking zombie at the moment!

I'm off for a haircut later and hoping that the hair dye smells dong make me feel too sick. I can't remember the advice on hair dye during pregnancy - is it ok after the first trimester? Or is it a complete no no?

Hollyjokes Thu 21-Nov-13 09:23:24

DinkyMole Thu 21-Nov-13 10:43:34

Ooh welcome ally and 2be smile

Hair dye is okay I think. I love that just had your hair done feeling smile

No sickness here yet but only 3w6d. Tiredness has set in already and so has hormonal rage. People in my job are just so STUPID! Grr.

On a happier note, DF is booking an early scan for me on his lunch break smile

Babymamatobe Thu 21-Nov-13 12:43:11

I've just text my hairdresser and she said its fine to dye your hair, NHS website says yes as well !!

Hollyjokes Thu 21-Nov-13 14:19:23

Thanks baby & dinky - I just got a cut today but will probably get a colour done too next time smile

Dinky I think I have the rage too! While I was just out all the other drivers on the road seriously pissed me off for little things like failing to indicate! Grrr!

baggyoldcow Thu 21-Nov-13 15:42:44

Anyone else still POAS? I was resisting all week and then had a sudden urge to 'reconfirm' this afternoon and popped to the chemist.
Am pleased to say it was a nice thick strong line! Am now 5 weeks. Phew.

funkymonk Thu 21-Nov-13 16:28:51

Welcome newcomers! Congratulations!
I've peed on a stick everyday since positive test last Friday! Quite dark lines now. Have got a digital to do tomorrow as I want to see 2-3 weeks! You ladies are worrying me as my only symptom so far is being bloated. I really wish I could be sick or have sore boobs! After mc in july everything worries me. Been to book in with gp today!

baggyoldcow Thu 21-Nov-13 16:50:40

oh don't worry funky, my boobs are only very slightly sore, if really pushed hard. Otherwise the bloat is all. You will be fine! good luck for the 2-3 weeks tomorrow!

2beornot Thu 21-Nov-13 16:56:59

Might be tempted to POAS next week as line wasn't particularly strong. It's a good idea at this stage but tbh (and I don't want to bring the mood down) when I had my mmc in June I has some bleeding so someone suggested I POAS. I got two strong lines and that was 4 days before my 12 wk scan when mmc was revealed. So I don't put too much hope on that.

Sorry I'm just so nervous. I'm thinking of booking a viability scan at 8 wks. At least I could enjoy Christmas!!

funkymonk Thu 21-Nov-13 17:28:36

Thanks baggy!
I understand your fears 2be. I have a 7.5 week scan booked for 11th Dec. I had just started investigations at fertility clinic and they do viability scans for all their patients which was good to hear.
Think I do have another sympton actually. Keep getting intermittent cramps that make me feel like I urgently need to poop (sorry!!), but when I dash to the loo I'm just really constipated! sorry tmi!

Hollyjokes Thu 21-Nov-13 17:58:56

I don't have sore boobs either, I'm just really tired and bloated. I have on/off nausea, but not as much as last week, which feels a bit weird.

I completely understand your fears ladies, especially those who've had previous losses and/or difficulty conceiving. I can't even imagine the heartbreak of getting all the way to 12wks and then finding out the worst hmm

DinkyMole Thu 21-Nov-13 19:19:36

I don't have many symptoms either. Just tiredness and excessive saliva haha! Work is really busy and stressful and I'm worried about that affecting the baby.

Booked in with the midwife for 17th Dec, feels like forever away! DF is going to book an early scan for me for the week before Christmas.

Only have one test left now so I'll save that til next week. Did the digi this morning and took a picture so that's nice to keep looking at smile

Allypallyjelly Thu 21-Nov-13 19:46:29

Hi girls !
Glad to hear you guys are doing well smile
Yes urge to POAS to check every other day but can get quite expensive. Smth you guys might find helpful is I found out the most easy to read test and affordable one is from tesco. £3.4 for two tests and if you want clearblue digi go to eBay there's this guy selling for £3.84 for two digi tests! Reason being expiring 30 Nov and those expiring later are only a quid more expensive. So I've bought 2xlisting meaning 4 digi tests yuhuuu!

talulahbelle Thu 21-Nov-13 19:48:47

I had loads of sickness yesterday but feel loads better today, practically normal now. So now I'm worrying again. Isn't it stupid, it's only when feeling rubbish I feel reassured.

holly I'm a bit bloated as well, I'm wearing my fat trousers most of the time and changing into joggers in the evening.

dinky I have a digital test to do this weekend. I'm hoping the date indicator will have gone up.

Hollyjokes Thu 21-Nov-13 19:59:14

I'm thinking of buying another digi too for reassurance. I've only got cheapies in the house but I've resisted using any for two whole days now!

Talulah I tried on a pair of my old maternity jeans today and they were soooo comfy! I need to resist the urge to wear them out - it's far too early for that yet, right?!

DinkyMole Fri 22-Nov-13 06:43:03

Morning ladies! I have woken up with tonsillitis rearing it's head after it seeming to have gone away on Tuesday. In work extra today as well as part of the business on strike so we'll be really busy hmm

BUT - my little pregnancy app says I'm 4 weeks today and baby is no longer a bundle of cells but has a head and tail! Can't remember the last time I was this excited grin

Hollyjokes Fri 22-Nov-13 08:43:24

Aw dinky, it's amazing how fast our little beans grow isn't it smile My app says that mine is the size of an orange seed! Hope that work being busy means that the day goes quickly for you.

I am so nauseous today and my sense of smell has gone a bit mental. I really hope that I don't end up with full blown morning sickness. I had an awful time with it last pregnancy so I'm a bit scared of doing it again. How is everyone else feeling today?

baggyoldcow Fri 22-Nov-13 10:07:34

Morning all. TMI ALERT!

Went to the loo this morning and had the tiniest string of blood in some CM on the paper. Panicked of course.

Nothing more since.

Keep fingers crossed this isn't the beginning of the end for me.

DinkyMole Fri 22-Nov-13 10:51:26

Fx for you baggy. None since sounds like a good sign smile

Holly, I had it really bad last time too and nervous of it happening again. I just seem really tearful at the moment. Already burst into tears at work today. Beginning to think I'll have to tell someone before they think I've gone mental grin

2beornot Fri 22-Nov-13 10:52:09

Morning ladies.

Baggy - have all my fingers and toes crossed for you x

I still can't quite believe its real. I won't let myself get too excited yet

Allypallyjelly Fri 22-Nov-13 11:31:52

baggy - same here last night too. Like pink snots sorry tmi.
Fingers crossed all ok. I'm trying not to stress over it as back in September that's how it started (albeit much more and darker pink too) and ended by 9 weeks. But it was much worse than just a tiny bit. So I know this isn't as bad and ill try to be positive for my own sanity and also for baby development. Hugs baggy

Allypallyjelly Fri 22-Nov-13 11:33:43

Other than headaches, diarrhea, frequenting loo, insomnia, dull tummy ache, I don't have any typical preg symptoms!

Hollyjokes Fri 22-Nov-13 12:59:30

Ally & baggy, I'm keeping everything crossed that everything will be ok for you both x

Allypallyjelly Fri 22-Nov-13 13:25:19

Thanks Holly same to you x

Hollyjokes Fri 22-Nov-13 15:46:37

I'm supposed to be going out tonight to a party with DH and I REALLY can't be bothered. I am SO tired. I was hoping to grab a nap this afternoon while DD sleeps, but she has refused her nap so I've had to stay up. I need to get her stuff ready for her to stay at my parents plus get myself ready to go out but I just don't have the energy! The thought of having to make conversation with people while they all get pissed is not appealing to me right now. I'd love to not go but I have to hmm

Sorry, moan over! I think that the pregnancy anti-socialness (that's a word, right?!) has definitely kicked in!!

Allypallyjelly Fri 22-Nov-13 18:32:52

Oh Holly completely get what you mean! I'm dreading all the work Xmas do's already!! Where I have to say sorry I'm not drinking cos I have a kidney infection or smth!!

eeyore2911 Fri 22-Nov-13 18:48:52

I know how you both feel lol! I'm fine at work etc but if everyone is out boozing I'll be all hmm and when I say no to alcohol the game will be up as I'm usually a beer monster!!!! Xmas do not till 14th so I'll think of something!
And Baggy, try not to worry, with DS2 I had light bleeding almost every day from weeks 5-7 and everything was fine grin

Plumviolet Fri 22-Nov-13 20:27:57

Hello there!

Tentatively prodding toe into the water....

Got my second line this morning and all going well due August 2nd.

Freaking out a bit as my first bfp line was barely there on Thursday evening (IC) and my second (clearblue) this morning with fmu was not much different. I've got a digi for tomorrow morning so hoping that I'll get a big fat positive spelled out for me.

Oh yeah, I have two dd's - 2 and (just)4 and I'm 36.

TheBookofRuth Fri 22-Nov-13 20:47:07

Welcome Plumviolet.

So get what you mean about pregnancy antisocialness, I am turning down invitations right and left, partly because I just can't be arsed, but also because it's so out of character for me not to drink that everyone would guess straightaway. That's what happened with DD - and then because they'd all known from the start, my friends then complained that I'd had the world's longest pregnancy.

Have been out tonight for a meal with DH (my mum has got DD for the night) but we just went to a local pub and are already back and in our pjs, ready to cuddle up on the sofa. It's a good job I'm not sticking religiously to the food guidelines though, or I'd be going very hungry - the menu was very shellfish, blue cheese and pâté heavy!

Plumviolet Fri 22-Nov-13 20:58:58

Thanks Ruth! That sounds heavenly, I'm tucked up in bed under a duvet and a huge sheepskin and I am bloody freezing! I know it's cold outside and I'm in edinburgh, but seriously?! I don't remember this with the last pregnancys.

... Is anybody else cold?

Babymamatobe Fri 22-Nov-13 22:17:10

I've been feeling the cold Plum! Thought it was just me!! Lol

Allypallyjelly Sat 23-Nov-13 00:08:03

Welcome plum!!
Yes me too always super cold whenever preg!

Eminybob Sat 23-Nov-13 07:45:15

Had a couple of feint lines so still testing every day here too! Very tentatively adding my name as had MMC back in May.
Periods have been a bit irregular but if I count a 28 day cycle due date should be 2nd August. Eeeek finger and toes crossed for all of us.

Eminybob Sat 23-Nov-13 07:46:52

Ps this will be number 1 and I'm 33 smile

Allypallyjelly Sat 23-Nov-13 08:18:27

Welcome eminy!! I'm sure the lines will get darker soon!!

funkymonk Sat 23-Nov-13 09:00:24

Congrats eminy and plum!

Sorry for your loss eminy.

Disappointed as got 1-2 still on digital. Lmp has me at 5+1 though I think I'm 4+4 based on ovulation. Both however should get me a 2-3. Worried.

Plumviolet Sat 23-Nov-13 09:04:51

Did the digi this morning and... Computer says yes!!

Pregnant 1-2 weeks. So exciting. Feeling some twinges in my right ovary area when I move quickly, like sharp muscle stretches and I am hoping that is normal, and that's the side where the egg was released from and not an ectopic pregnancy, paranoia at work!

All in all though, I am so so so tired, achey legs, sporadic nausea, tingly nipples, fridge scanning but nothing I fancy, heavy feeling in uterus, thirsty. All so quickly, I know it's my third kid but it never stops being magical - it's nuts.

I am terribly impatient so I have got to get my head in the zone for a long wait. Want it to be august already!

We are hosting Christmas for the first time in our house this year and we have 10 adults coming and five kids, what the feck am I going to do?

Babymamatobe Sat 23-Nov-13 09:18:07

For any ladies in Scotland interested in an early scan, ABC4D are doing 50% off viability scans costing only £42.50!! Have clinics in Motherwell, Ayr and Edinburgh!!

I'm booked for 21st December!!

eeyore2911 Sat 23-Nov-13 10:29:50

Oh I wish they did the scans cheaper near me!! £100 BabyBond and that seems so steep!! hmm

talulahbelle Sat 23-Nov-13 10:38:18

5 weeks today, and the first time in over a week I didn't POAS first thing blush
I still don't feel pregnant, although the sore boobs, bloating, tiredness/lethargy and slight waves of nausea seem to indicate something if going on. I still don't quite believe it though.
Doctor's appointment Monday after work, hopefully I'll be able to get an early scan booked in then.

plum We are hosting Xmas too this year - luckily only 6 of us and DH is doing the cooking. I plan to recline on the sofa and relax. Hopefully and all being well we are going to announce the pregnancy on Xmas day to my relatives.

funky Those digital tests are notoriously unreliable. I prefer the ICs so I can watch the line getting darker.

babymama and eeyore both of your prices seem expensive to me - It's £120 + £10 for a memory stick with pictures at the private early scan place near me. Expensive.

eminy Congrats! I'm 33 and pregnant with my 1st too. It's so exciting smile

ally and ruth DH has been briefed when buying me drinks, I ask for a vodka and soda (or whatever) and he brings it to me but without any alcohol. Luckily I'm not a beer drinker, and the summer Pimms and spritzer season has passed.

2beornot Sat 23-Nov-13 10:42:45

Morning ladies!

No symptoms here!! But then neither of my two previous pregnancies has any. Except maybe a bit of nausea. Hoping no sickness this time either as have lots of Christmas meals booked.

Decided not to have a viability scan after all. I don't think it would reassure really and would not want to be reassured if the worst then happened. So long wait til 12 weeks!!!

Hollyjokes Sat 23-Nov-13 11:32:58

Morning ladies and welcome to eminy and plum smile

I'm freezing too! Really shocked because I've been pregnant over the winter before (albeit heavily pregnant then) and I was absolutely boiling even when there was snow on the ground! I'm dreading being a huge sweaty hippo in June/July though! shockgrin

We are going to my mums for Xmas dinner, so glad as I doubt I'd have the energy to play host. Those who are doing it themselves - are you planning on telling any family/friends before then? If so then I'm sure you'll get lots of offers of help so you don't have to do too much.

So I dragged myself off the sofa and went out last night! It was quite a good night, although I was getting a bit fed up towards the end when everyone was quite drunk and I was sober and tired blush We have now told DH's best friend as he was standing near me at the bar when one of the girls insisted I did some shots with her and I needed rescuing! He won't blab to anyone though. I got one glass of wine which I sipped at now and again to make it look like I was drinking and got DH to buy me diet cokes but told people I was drinking vodka! It was harder than I thought to hide it all as I normally like to let my hair down on nights out. I think I just about got away with it but it was tough!

DinkyMole Sat 23-Nov-13 18:09:00

Oh god I hope this "hormones" thing doesn't last the entire 9 months. I am horrible! Angry and sad and angry and sad. For no reason!
//throws self dramatically onto a bed, sobbing.

ShoesBagsDresses Sat 23-Nov-13 20:20:49

Hi all, I'm also on the July thread but as I'm due around 27th July (and went 2 weeks over with my 1st) I'm pretty sure this one will be an early august baby.

I haven't had any symptoms other then sore boobs. Last time sickness kicked in about 7-8 weeks so I have a few weeks left if I get it this time round too.

I hear you all with regards to disguising not drinking at the Christmas parties. I got so drunk last year, and have been merry at a few work do's through out the year so pretty sure someone will twig if I don't drink as it's not like me at all! Not sure how to cover if up!
I still haven't even had a drs app yet so probably won't be getting a scan till the new year! Sob! Hope all those looking to get early scans get something before Christmas

Babymamatobe Sun 24-Nov-13 07:08:53

Well decided to do a CB Digi this morning and it seems we've progressed to 3+ weeks!

Hope you're all well !

baggyoldcow Sun 24-Nov-13 07:42:39

Hi all,
just a little update - no brown gunk yesterday but a little this morning. Still hanging in there and trying to be optimistic! It's not happened in any of my other pregnancies, that's the problem.
Have doc's appt tomorrow...let's see what happens.

Hollyjokes Sun 24-Nov-13 09:27:26

Hi SBD smile

Baby that's great! I did an IC last night and got an instant line as dark as the control line! smile

Baggy I hope your doctors app goes well and that the doctor is able to give you some reassurance.

I had a bad night with DD last night so I'm totally knackered today and feel very nauseous too. I seem to feel sicker when I'm more tired. Really hoping I get to have a nap at some point today!

funkymonk Sun 24-Nov-13 10:33:52

Hope all goes well baggy. I'm sure it will.

Good news baby and holly, though now I am more worried as digital gave me 1-2 still yesterday and internet test stick lines coming up quickly but not as dark as test line. I know all women have variable hcg levels but I can't help but worry. Have been TTC for 12months with a mc at 8 months and I've convinced myself that I'm never going to have a successful pregnancy.

Babymamatobe Sun 24-Nov-13 11:07:08

Aw try not to worry Funky, I think I'm 5 weeks today and your dates are similar to mine, so maybe try another digi in a day or so?

I deliberately waited till today to use my digi as I'm exactly 3 weeks past ovulation today. Wow that ovulation day seems so long ago now!!! Can't wait for my scan on 21st Dec!

As long as everything is ok, I think we're going to have to tell the family at Xmas dinner, a couple of them already suspect so not drinking is just going to make it all the more obvious!!

Great news Holly, just wish we could fast forward till we'd all had our 12 week scans and knew our little beans were ok!

Hollyjokes Sun 24-Nov-13 11:29:30

Oh funky, try not to worry. Maybe implantation happened a little later than you think and that's why the tests haven't caught up yet. I completely understand why you're worried though, with your history. I really hope that this is it for you. Are you going to have an early reassurance scan or wait until 12wks?

I know baby, it's going so slowly isn't it?! I'm trying to wait until Christmas to tell family and friends too but it's so hard! I'm not telling work until January hopefully! Hopefully we'll all be so busy getting ready for Christmas that the next few weeks will speed up a bit. I'm desperate to see my baby on a scan!

Thanks baby and holly. If I go by last period then I'm due 25th july but based on when I got a positive opk its 28th july presuming I implanted soon after. Implantation couldn't have been much later as I had a positive test by 10dpo. Hmmm. What will be will be I guess!

I have a scan booked for 11th Dec. I had just started investigations at fertility clinic and they offer viability scans to all their patients on the NHS which is good.

Telling family at Christmas time is a lovely idea.
Especially over Xmas dinner. At in laws this year so planning on telling then either Xmas eve or Xmas day and telling my family when we are there weekend before Xmas! all being well of course!

Blamenargles Sun 24-Nov-13 15:27:36

Can I join, POAS this morning and BFP. It's #2 for us excited, scared and feeling guilty already DS is 3 in jan,
I think due date is 1st august but only had a 2 day period last month but think my body was still getting back to normal after the mirena!

Symptoms well I was 3 days late today, iv been having really broken sleep, can't stop weeing, can't stop eating, heartburn and so constipated confused I'm like clock work so it's killing me blush

ItchyBodCrane Sun 24-Nov-13 16:17:09

Hi Guys! Congrats to all of you!

Excited to be expecting #1 after nearly 18 months of trying... I'm 38 so a few hurdles to overcome before we can feel settled. Due date is 29th July according to last AF but I think I might have ovulated a bit late as this cycle I had my HSG and a week after I thought I had ovulated I had the transvaginal ultrasound (aka dildo cam) and the ultrasound lady said she could see I had a ovulated. Can you tell 7 days after the event? Wish I had asked now. D'oh! Maybe the HSG delayed it.

Anyway, ultrasound picked up 'classic' PCOS on one ovary so I was feeling down but then AF never came despite cramps, my boobs suddenly went off the charts and so I POAS yesterday (and today) and voila. It's still setting in - we've been trying for a while and given my age I was not hopeful.

ItchyBodCrane Sun 24-Nov-13 16:22:57

Also, as an added complication, we are moving house (not far but to a different county) soon. I think I will keep this address so I can have my booking appt/scan and then tell them I'm moving afterwards. Does anyone know how this works? Presumably I'll have to re-register with a new GP and go to a different hospital for all the ante-natal checks. It's a shame, because the hospital in this county is so much nicer and convenient to get to.

Hollyjokes Sun 24-Nov-13 16:58:29

That's great that you'll be having a scan so soon funky, I'm sure that everything will be ok and it will be lovely for you to tell your family at Xmas having had the scan and knowing that all is fine smile

Welcome to blamenargles and itchy - congratulations to the both of you!

Blamenargles I'm struggling with constipation too blush I was actually going to post here about whether the likes of suppositries and lactulose are frowned upon during pregnancy, does anyone know? I may have to resort to some prune juice, yuk! confused

Itchy, as far as I know you can have your baby at any hospital you like. If you prefer the hospital you'll be booking in under and it's not too far from where you'll be moving to then I would stick with it? I'm about the same distance from three hospitals but two are in different counties, however I know women who live near me quite often choose the hospital that's out of our area, so I think it's definitely possible smile

Holly it's driving me insane I'm normally once a day (sorry tmi) I feel so bloated I don't think I can possibly drink or eat anymore fruit! I can't face prune juice yet. I wonder if you can take benifiber sp when pregnant.

Iv also got really dry eyes confused

Pregnancy with a toddler is going to be tough I can feel it already

Not sure if I should let work know or not yet I sometimes have to lift heavy things and involves being I my feet and running about

DinkyFrinkbuster Sun 24-Nov-13 19:10:54

New girl!

I'm due 30/7 and this is my second child. I'm (cough) 37 next week. My first pregnancy ran over by 14 days so I think I'll be well and truly into August.

Feels veeery early to be thinking about any of this but trying to think positive. Private scan booked just before Christmas.

Any one else got stinky wee?! Other than that my only other complaints are really sore boobs. I have taken a million tests and am not yet ready to stop!

Congratulations, everyone!

Hollyjokes Sun 24-Nov-13 23:09:44

Itchy I'm sure it won't be a problem, good luck!

Blamenargles I have a young DD who is becoming increasingly more active and I'm finding it difficult chasing around after her all day when I'm so exhausted anyway!

Hi DF! Welcome and congratulations smile No smelly wee here nor sore boobs. My only symptoms so far are tiredness, nausea and bloating. Oh and constipation! blush I haven't stopped testing yet either! Although I've managed to get it down to once every couple of days now because I'm running out of tests!

I can agree with the bloating - I swear I look pregnant already! I'm on progesterone pessaries which help a bit. Other than that it's lots of clementines, dried apricots and water.
Woke up today and felt very slightly nauseous. Never have I been so happy to feel unwell. Fingers crossed it's a good sign.
blame I'm not telling work for as long as possible. I'm a teacher though and am finding it totally knackering already. Mock week this week though so I will be able to relax a bit.

Howly Mon 25-Nov-13 07:04:00

Can I join you ladies too? I'm due 26/7, 26 yrs old first baby!

DinkyMole Mon 25-Nov-13 07:13:06

How's things this morning baggy?

Funky, I wouldn't worry too much about the conception indicator on a digi test. They're known for being pretty unreliable.

Welcome to everyone else smile

Blamenargles Mon 25-Nov-13 07:33:48

Good morning everyone, just woke up and I'm tired already

I really don't want to tell work yet but for safety reasons I might have too, I normally chuck myself in to everything but don't want to be lifting too much because I also have a week back.

DinkyFrinkbuster Mon 25-Nov-13 07:41:15

My boobs are definitely bigger. Last time they were...pneumatic. Was hoping this time they would behave!

funkymonk Mon 25-Nov-13 07:45:07

Morning ladies! I got a 2-3 on last digital this morning. Prob should have saved it for another few days when it should have read 3+ though! For anyone else worrying about the digitals, it says on clearblue website that conception indicator is 92% accurate +/- 5 days. So not actually that accurate at all!
Hope you all have a happy Monday!

funkymonk Mon 25-Nov-13 07:48:52

I'm going to tell my colleague I'm pregnant this morning. We jointly lead a team of therapists seeing stroke patients in community so can be very heavy manual handling at times and I'm not willing to take the chance seeing the more challenging patients. No way I can get out if it without being truthful! Hope I've not just outed myself!!

Hollyjokes Mon 25-Nov-13 08:20:55

Funky & blame - if there's someone at work that you can tell who you trust to keep it quiet until you're ready to tell everyone then I would definitely go for it! It will take the pressure of yourselves a bit and you will have an 'ally' to help you out if other people start suspecting anything! I agree, it's definitely not worth doing anything too risky, very heavy lifting etc. Glad that work should be a bit easier for you this week, Talulah smile

I'm knackered too blame hmm

DF my boobs are exactly the same and don't hurt at all! They didn't grow much in my last pregnancy either, I remember my back size went up a bit though and I needed comfier bras!

On the subject of heavy lifting I'm moving house this week we're not getting removal men. I'm worried about the lifting should I avoid completely?

2beornot Mon 25-Nov-13 08:46:56

Morning all!!

I can't believe I'm actually starting to get nauseous already. I'm only 4 weeks. I notice it when stomach either empty or full. Didn't have proper ms with dd (just felt sick from time to time) so hoping this feeling so soon doesn't turn into something worse.

Other than that no symptoms except tiredness but then I'm always bloody tired

Hi newbies!!

baggyoldcow Mon 25-Nov-13 09:13:27

Morning all (well, it's just afternoon where I am) - welcome newbies - now there are TWO dinkies on the August bus! Thanks dinkymole for asking after me.

Update: (sorry this is all about me - I am reading all your news too, I promise!)...went to ob/gyn who poked around and of course said it's too early to say what's happening but he did send me off for blood HCG levels to be checked and a trans-vag scan tomorrow. I did ask if we'd be likely to see anything so early and he said we might not get a heartbeat but he'd want to see a sac and pole etc.

I told DH about the bleeding this morning as up to now I've been keeping quiet so as not to upset him. He said 'perhaps if this doesn't work out we should call it quits' which made me feel sad. He has a point that it's a lot of heartache to go through when we've got three fabulous children already.

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

DinkyFrinkbuster Mon 25-Nov-13 09:22:30

Keeping everything crossed for you Baggy. Not too long to wait for answers but can imagine time is dragging.

DinkyFrinkbuster Mon 25-Nov-13 09:24:52

DinkyMole was here first - I'll be DF. Mine is a ridiculous username but it's an obscure reference in a TV show I've recently been giggling at smile

2beornot Mon 25-Nov-13 10:25:13

Hope every goes ok Baggy. Only you and DH can decide if the heartache is worth it. Fingers crossed for your can tomorrow

DinkyMole Mon 25-Nov-13 10:56:45

Fingers crossed for you baggy. Have you had any more bleeding? Let us know how you get on.

I woke up feeling sick this morning so I'm sure full blown morning sickness won't be too far behind!

Hollyjokes Mon 25-Nov-13 11:31:22

Baggy I have everything crossed that tomorrow brings good news for you x

Eminy I'm really not sure what the official advice is re lifting. I guess just go with what you're comfortable with, if something is going to be a struggle to pick up then possibly avoid?

ItchyBodCrane Mon 25-Nov-13 13:05:43

I hope everything goes well, baggy.

Allypallyjelly Mon 25-Nov-13 15:02:40

Baggy fingers crossed !! Pls let us know how you get on xx

TheBookofRuth Mon 25-Nov-13 15:31:20

Good luck baggy.

Anyone got a feeling about what they're having? With DD I was utterly convinced that I was having a girl, literally from the moment I got my BFP. This time around I haven't got a clue! Would be happy with either - except that if I have a boy I'll never get rid of my MIL, as she's desperate for a DGS (she has two DGDs).

2beornot Mon 25-Nov-13 15:47:32

bookofruth funny you say that but I has a sudden feeling it was a girl. I wasn't even thinking about it, the feeling just overwhelmed me!! Crazy, isn't it?'

DinkyMole Mon 25-Nov-13 16:41:18

Not really, but I have two DS already, DF has two DS as well. My sister has a DS and DFs brother has two DS! We're pretty much expecting another DS grin

Hollyjokes Mon 25-Nov-13 16:42:29

Ruth I'm really not sure this time! I was convinced I was having a girl last time and wouldn't listen when literally everyone told me they thought I was having a boy. I was right!

This time I initially thought boy, although when I picture it in my head I can see myself with two little girls! So I have no idea really! I'll definitely be finding out at the scan (as soon as baby is playing ball) as I'm just far too impatient to wait until he or she is born!

Hollyjokes Mon 25-Nov-13 16:44:14

As LONG as baby is playing ball!

Morganlove Mon 25-Nov-13 18:21:44

Hello all, can I join in please?! I got my BFP last Wed and still cannot believe it! Will be my first (dp's second but a long time ago), finally was successful on cycle 14, really didn't think it was going to happen. Got my doc apt coming up soon, but think I'll be due 26-28th July. I can confirm once doc has done his stuff.

Bit concerned I'm not feeling sick yet - crazy that I actually want to feel ill! So far by boobs just feel a little bit sore if I push them.

Other than that just feel really distracted, trying so hard to do my work as normal but my mind is elsewhere!

I'm guessing not everyone feels sick, and I'm only 5wks 2days. I want the impossible - to feel/be sick but not so that anyone notices! Nicely timed sickness please when I'm on my own and have toothpaste to hand!!!

talulahbelle Mon 25-Nov-13 18:24:34

Seen the GP and got my pregnancy on the system - my booking in appointment is on 31st Dec when I will be 10+3. I'm also being referred for an early scan and should get a phone call about that in the next few days. Exciting times smile

Hollyjokes Mon 25-Nov-13 18:33:37

Great stuff Talulah smile

Hi Morgan and congratulations! I'll add you to the list in a min - will put you as 26th July for now and we can always update it later if you need to smile

I'm nauseous but no actual vomiting yet. Im 5+1 now and started vomiting at 6wks when pregnant with DD so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I manage to avoid it this time!

funkymonk Mon 25-Nov-13 20:45:53

Great news talulah!

How are you baggy?

After my excitement of 2-3 on the digital this morning, I have had pink cm this afternoon. Has anyone else had this? I am in a big panic. I hurried out of work at 3.30 and have been in bed lying down since. I know it can be common in early pregnancy but crapping myself that this is another Mc!

Allypallyjelly Mon 25-Nov-13 21:47:41

Tallulah - that's cool keep us updated !
Morgan - congrats and welcome smile
Funky - exactly same position as you. Got my 2-3 wks and now pinkish since Saturday. My mom says she was also like that with most of us (I'm one of 5) so she told me to rest n put up my feet as much as I can ! But it's tough because journey to work takes an hour on overground n underground plus sometimes don't get a seat! Vomited on sat n sun (I blame it on my DH as I was waiting for him to have dinner until 9pm, unacceptable!) with some headaches but other than that not much symptoms !

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie Mon 25-Nov-13 22:04:23

Hello ladies, can I join too please? Got my bfp on Saturday and confirmed it with a cb digi today grin. This will be our 1st and my eddy is August 2nd. Ooh, I've just turned 30 so it was a happy birthday present for me!

Feel fine currently, only symptom is tender boobs. Felt a bit queasy putting that down to too much chocolate wink

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie Mon 25-Nov-13 22:05:32

EDD, not eddy hmm

DinkyFrinkbuster Mon 25-Nov-13 22:09:58

Think positive Funky - as you say it's really common. Try to steer clear of panic Googling. Hopefully by morning all will be well.

Hi Fluffy!

funkymonk Mon 25-Nov-13 22:15:39

Welcome fluffy.I remember your name from the conception buses!

Thanks for the reassurance Ally and DinkyF. Keeping everything crossed for us Ally. I'm sure we'll be fine but its such a worrying time. We're due date buddies too!

Hollyjokes Mon 25-Nov-13 23:17:15

Oh gosh, I just went to the loo before bed and there was pink CM on the tissue when I wiped. Ally & funky - have either of you been having mild cramps too? I'm really worried now too hmm

Allypallyjelly Tue 26-Nov-13 05:20:13

Hi Holly yes I had cramps last week too but not today. I do think pink is pretty normal. Sorry for tmi but mine is creamy pink. In sept when I had miscarriage the final days were like very light period so you defo can tell when there's prob. If it's just pink I think let your body do its things as some says it's our uterus stretching out to accommodate. Fingers crossed! I know it's tough but staying relax probably is the only thing that will help...if cramps and pink cm intensifies then maybe worth checking out at epu just to be safe. Lots of love x

DinkyMole Tue 26-Nov-13 07:24:36

Pink cm sounds fairly normal from what I've read. Fingers crossed it stops for you soon smile

Welcome fluffy smile

Slightly more nauseous this morning. I was so tired last night that I was in bed by half 8!

baggyoldcow Tue 26-Nov-13 07:54:49

Well good morning ladies (and welcome newcomers).
I'm sorry to hear funky and holly and ally are all having the pink cm thing too. I'm on day 5 of it now.
BUT, worrying though it seems do try not to worry as Ally says. It is very common in healthy pregnancies. (I had dreadful low back pain yesterday too, and all my googling revealed that this plus pink CM was sure doom).

So I had my scan this morning.
You cannot believe my shock when it showed TWINS.
Yes, I'll just repeat that, TWINS.
That means FIVE children for baggy, if all goes well. How on earth will I cope? I don't know what to make of this news, really - it is very scary but very sweet as well.
I should add on a cautionary note that there were no heartbeats yet as it's too early so I have to go back in 10-14 days, but the really positive thing was that both were bang on size for the dates and there was no sign of bleeding around either sac (or elswhere).

TWINS. Can I just say that again? [runs screaming from the bus]

DinkyMole Tue 26-Nov-13 07:56:16

O-M-G!! Baggy!! Twins!! grin

TheBookofRuth Tue 26-Nov-13 07:56:48

Twins! Oh my god, baggy, congratulations! You must be thrilled - and terrified!

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 08:03:58

Thanks guys, that's really reassuring smile I have some cramping this morning but no further pink cm. Fx all is ok.

Hi fluffy and welcome smile

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 08:05:49

Omg xposts baggy!! Twins!!!! Congratulations!! And great to hear that all is looking good, right size for dates etc. Argh amazing news, this has made my morning hehe! grin

funkymonk Tue 26-Nov-13 08:07:10

Twins! Omg! Bet that was a shock for you! TWINS!!! Are there twins in the family?! Wowzers! What country are you in baggy? I know you've mentioned time difference before.

Ally and Holly, I have had cramps on and off since bfp. Still in bed hiding from the world. About to get up for knicker check and get ready for work.

I'm feeling a bit better now though thanks to the reassurance of ladies on this thread, and a bit of googling (I know!) which has shown me that cramps and pink cm are pretty normal at this stage. Still scary though!

Blamenargles Tue 26-Nov-13 08:34:19

Baggy!! TWINS so exciting you will be fine

2beornot Tue 26-Nov-13 08:39:14

OMG! Twins!!! What a shock that must've been! Guess we need to change the roll-call to say DC#4&5!!!!

Hope everyone else is ok. I'm still I denial a bit that it has actually happened!!

funkymonk Tue 26-Nov-13 08:47:48

Holly, yeah its still pretty terrifying despite reassure and consulting Dr Google. I'm on another thread on here for women over 30 TTC #1 and some of the ladies on their graduates thread who are further on with pregnancy are saying they also had pink cm and/or spotting. It's also reassuring that you, me and Ally are all due 27/28 July so potentially at exactly same stage. My mc started out as brown spotting that got heavier and turned red.

funkymonk Tue 26-Nov-13 08:48:56

*despite reassurance

baggyoldcow Tue 26-Nov-13 08:51:19

he he he. How do I concentrate on work with this news? OMG, OMG (twice, obviously).
I'm in Kenya, funky, been working here for 5 years. Thank goodness, we can have nannies aplenty. No twins in the family, but I've read (just now, am googling like mad!) that age (am 39) increases the likelihood. It was a bit of a punt whether to go for no. 4 - but FIVE?!
I honestly cannot begin to imagine how I will cope with a multiple pregnancy. Just think of the back ache! Aagh.
But thanks for the congrats! There's hope for everyone with pink cm!

funkymonk Tue 26-Nov-13 08:55:18

Ooo Kenya! Very exotic! Yes, concentrating in work will be hard for you today! 5 kiddies! Bet you were gob smacked when you saw 2 in there! shock

Morganlove Tue 26-Nov-13 09:08:23

Wow! Double wow - twins!!! Exciting but also scary. Congratulations! Good luck trying to concentrate at work, I'm struggling and all I know so far is that I'm pregnant, no idea how many beans there are in there (although no history so guessing just the one!).

Sending very best wishes to all who are getting pink cm, no experience but know it is common. I'm at about the same stage so knicker checking has increased yet again. Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the water......

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 09:24:24

Wow Kenya, fantastic! What did your DH say baggy? I bet you're both in shock right now but it really is just amazing news! I'm so pleased for you smile

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 09:25:26

Oh and I am now desperate to book an early scan to check how many I've got in there! grin

DinkyFrinkbuster Tue 26-Nov-13 09:39:55

Oh my word! Congrats Baggy! Nannies are definitely the way forward :-)

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 12:09:11

After having pink mucous on the loo roll last night and nothing this morning, I went to the loo about half an hour ago and had pink stringy discharge on the paper. Same again just now, about 30mins later.

Feeling really worried again now hmm

2beornot Tue 26-Nov-13 12:32:22

Holly - big hugs. Have you phoned Dr or EPU? If you're worried at all it pays to get it checked out.

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 12:35:10

Thanks 2be, no haven't phoned anyone yet as I wasn't sure if they'd see me this early? I'm 5+2 today.

funkymonk Tue 26-Nov-13 12:46:20

I don't think Epu see you before 6 weeks?? I'm sure all ok holly. Xx

GillyMac93 Tue 26-Nov-13 13:03:01

Can I join ? Just found out I'm expecting my first due 2nd august grin

baggyoldcow Tue 26-Nov-13 13:23:28

Welcome Gilly! smile You're a real August baby, congrats. Some of us are mere interlopers...

Holly thanks - I know that feeling of dread, but try not to get too stressed. It might just be twins grin. It's not over till you have a period and it seems that 5 weeks is just about the time when half of us are bleeding a bit. Fingers and toes crossed for you dear. (oh, and btw, DH said "Oh my god, I was only joking!" because last week he had been saying "wouldn't it be great if we had twins!")

Thanks everyone for the congratulations - I am still reeling. Utterly knackered too having been awake half the night stressing about it. So I'm heading home now to do more googling on the subject.

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 13:46:24

You're right funky, I just looked up the EPU at my hospital and it is indeed 6 weeks. So I need to wait another 5 days before I can contact them if I need to. Fx I won't have to.

Welcome gilly, I'll add you to the list in a moment smile

Baggy - imagine if all of us with these pink mucous symptoms ended up having twins! I have a 9 month old DD so I'd need a triple buggy!! How old are your other DC?

ItchyBodCrane Tue 26-Nov-13 13:47:11

Fingers crossed for you Holly.

Thanks Itchy, how are you doing?

talulahbelle Tue 26-Nov-13 14:07:54

I've had the phone call from the EPU - I have an early scan booked in for next Monday when I'm 6+2. Now the fear beings that they won't be able to see anything, or it won't have developed enough. Stress.

DinkyMole Tue 26-Nov-13 14:16:38

Did another digi. Last Tuesday it came up not pregnant. Thursday I got pregnant 1-2 weeks. Today I got 3+! I hope I'm not following in baggy's footsteps haha!

DinkyMole Tue 26-Nov-13 14:32:46

Fingers crossed all is okay for you Holly. Keep us updated smile

Welcome Gilly smile

Tallulah, glad you've got a scan booked and hope it all goes well for you smile

Allypallyjelly Tue 26-Nov-13 15:01:11

Dinky - grats! Maybe another set of twins on the forum!!!

2beornot Tue 26-Nov-13 15:12:28

Fingers crossed you won't need them then holly. Sorry - I didn't realise they were an early, but not too early, pregnancy unit. I guess at 5 weeks it's probably difficult to see anything anyway?!

Good luck Tallulah x

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 15:33:49

Thanks guys. I'm hoping it's a good sign that I'm still feeling very pregnant - on/off nausea and I just had to have a nap because I'm so tired! Fx smile

Dinky that's quick work getting to 3+! I wonder if you'll be following in baggy's footsteps?!

Great news about the scan Talulah, I'm sure that they'll be able to see something on there with you being past 6 weeks x

DinkyMole Tue 26-Nov-13 15:55:39

They sound like good symptoms Holly smile

Oh I really hope not. This will be our fifth baby already, so twins would be 6 and I'm in the middle of a degree as well (which includes seeing clients!). Twins would be a nightmare!

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie Tue 26-Nov-13 18:47:58

Wow, twins Baggy!!!

Welcome Gilly, another due 2nd august!

Fx Talullah all will be fine with your scan. Holly, any more so far?

I called the doctors today and got an appointment with the nurse for next week. I've also booked a private early scan for 23rd dec as we'd love to be able to give our families the news over Christmas smile

funkymonk Tue 26-Nov-13 19:51:38

How are you Holly?

Did you manage to get any work done today baggy?!!

DinkyFrinkbuster Tue 26-Nov-13 21:11:39

Hope all is well Holly

My jeans are tighter...how is that possible?! Not eating more and have cut out alcohol. At this rate there's no way I'll keep at lid on this until the 12 week mark.

funkymonk Tue 26-Nov-13 21:14:04

Missed your post sorry talulah. Don't panic there's not long to wait. I'm sure all will be grand.

Hollyjokes Tue 26-Nov-13 21:27:42

I'm ok thanks guys. Keep getting odd AF style cramps so I'm knicker checking like a woman possessed but nothing else there so far. Have been speaking to DH about it all and I think we're going to get a private early scan just to check all is well.

DF my jeans are tight too! I'm so bloated it's unreal! I may not have any choice but to move into mat jeans before much longer, all being well!

GillyMac93 Tue 26-Nov-13 21:47:28

its so fluffy *theres a few 2nds ! And this is your first too !im so excited and I'm not good at keeping secrets normally ! *holly iv been having period style cramps too. Good luck talulah

baggyoldcow Wed 27-Nov-13 06:36:14

Glad the belly's still growing Holly, that's surely a good sign!

Not done much work, I must admit. Been looking at the 'larger families' section on MN for inspiration. I have to say I'm feeling very nervous both at the prospect of carrying/looking after twin babies and in the longer term, coping with 5 children. DinkyM how do you do it??

Mine are 6, nearly 5, and, 3 today!

Allypallyjelly Wed 27-Nov-13 07:14:26

Hi all,
Since I've got many cb digi and expiring 30/11 I've used one last evening with little amount of wee and got 2-3weeks, this morning I did it again and got 3+. Fingers crossed this is good stuff! Still spotting pink but have blood tests done yesterday so will find out the results to see if my levels are good or not. Boobs a lil sensitive and a lil nauseous so hoping they are good signs.

ItchyBodCrane Wed 27-Nov-13 07:47:31

I am also knicker checking like a mad woman!

My main symptom was sore breasts. So sore in fact I bought a new bra at the weekend. Today they are not sore at all and am trying not to panic. I've googled and apparently symptoms can cone and go early on. This is now my mantra.

ItchyBodCrane Wed 27-Nov-13 07:48:25

Come and go even. Bloody autocorrect!

talulahbelle Wed 27-Nov-13 08:03:52

itchy I woke up with my breasts hardly sore at all. POAS and the line came up really dark even before the control line appeared though. Feeling slightly nauseous too. Waiting it hell!

Hollyjokes Wed 27-Nov-13 08:17:39

Happy birthday to your 3yo baggy! Have you got anything planned to celebrate?

Ally do you get your blood results today? Good luck.

My symptoms come and go too Itchy, some days I feel no different and others I'm practically on my knees with exhaustion! Today I'm the most nauseous I've been so far, seriously feel like I could puke any second. I'm hoping that this, combined with no further pink spotting/mucous is a good sign.

Hope everything has a good day x

Allypallyjelly Wed 27-Nov-13 08:59:28

Good luck tallulah
itchy & holly - yes symptoms come and go too!
Yes I should get my results today. And having a repeated hcg blood test on Friday.

2beornot Wed 27-Nov-13 09:01:03

Morning ladies. Still no symptoms here but then I am only 4+2! Can't believe it still. Still not told anyone, will tell close family at around 6-8 weeks I think. It might become obvious over Christmas (I really wanted Beef Wellington but can't have it now plus the lack of alcohol!) but hopefully with my history my friends won't ask.

Glad those with pink spotting are getting symptoms though - def a good sign!!!

Wow! Baggy, so you'll have 5 under 7?! That's going to be one manic house! I bet it seems scary now but you'll look back and wonder what the fuss was all about!

Hollyjokes Wed 27-Nov-13 09:07:07

Ok so I just did puke hmm Feeling reassured by the obvious symptoms but still feeling totally rubbish!

Ally let us know how you get on today x

2be I don't think I could hide it over Christmas either! There's going to be loads of family at my parents and I think it'll be pretty obvious when I turn down the sparkling wine, pâté and cheese board! grin

baggyoldcow Wed 27-Nov-13 09:47:28

Great stuff, Holly! Nothing like a good old puke to remind you you're up the duff wink
I only felt a tiny bit nauseous with my first, after that none. And it was waves of nausea with that horrible tingly mouth I only get before being sick (is that something other people get, btw)?
But this time I do feel a little bit sick, not in the same way, more a dull, slight discomfort in my tummy. All you people with MS, please describe how it feels!
I feel so hungry, I'm just off now to eat a horse.
Good news, Ally with the CB digitals!
Yes, 2be, I am seriously concerned about my sanity if we have 5! We were wondering whether to try for 4, but I said we'll just take one on each hand...but what do we do with the 5th??? I just know I'll lose one somewhere blush

2beornot Wed 27-Nov-13 09:56:50

Baggy - I get that nauseous feeling too! It's all I had with dd, no actual puking thank god! grin more children than hands - hadn't thought of it that way! At least you can fit them in one car, albeit a big one!

I've just remembered the wicked mulled cider DH and I make. With sloe gin in it too-honestly it's so strong I couldn't even sniff it!!

Hollyjokes Wed 27-Nov-13 10:09:56

Baggy I get tingly mouth too! Definitely had it this morning so I knew I was going to puke.

With DD I had hyperemesis so the nausea was constant, and shortly after anything at all passing my lips I'd have that belly ache feeling and tingly mouth until I threw up. When my stomach was empty I'd throw up again anyway, just saliva and bile (sorry!) It was truly awful!

I've had on/off nausea for a while now and then vomited this morning. I still feel a bit queasy now but I don't think I'm going to be sick again at the moment. If I don't get any worse than this then I can cope with it. I seriously couldn't do hyperemesis again, especially now that I already have one DC to look after!

Aw baggy I'm sure having 5 children will be tough, but I'm also sure that once they're that little bit older they will all play together nicely and hopefully you'll get a bit of a break? I bet that DCs 4&5 will slot right into your family, and before long it will be like they've always been there smile

Allypallyjelly Wed 27-Nov-13 10:50:10

Oh holly though that's a good sign but sorry you're feeling rubbish with the puking. Remember to drink lots of liquid though to keep hydrated.
Yeah baggy this forum is still rejoicing your twins double whammy news! cake
Not sure if these numbers make sense to anyone but got the results :
Beta hcg: 9442
Progesterone : 130
Fwded to my consultant to take a look and let me know if anything I should be worried about considering just had mc in sept.
Sending love to everyone xxx

Hollyjokes Wed 27-Nov-13 11:18:40

Thanks ally, I just had a lie down and feel a bit better for it.

I'm by no means an expert but those results look good to me? Hope that your consultant is able to reassure you further x

2beornot Wed 27-Nov-13 12:31:11

Hi ally

According to this americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html

You are 6 weeks pregnant - sounds good! Don't know about the progesterone levels though.

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie Wed 27-Nov-13 12:48:48

'Tingly mouth' describes it so well! I've been having it during the last two days (no puking yet though) but have felt a bit queasy during the evenings since Sunday. I now have a pack of mints in my coat pocket as feeling like that on the tube is not fun!

Apart from tender boobs, I feel really hungry especially after I've eaten - what's that all about?! grin

TheBookofRuth Wed 27-Nov-13 14:00:53

Ugh. I'm not feeling nauseous very often, but I seem to be entering a phase I remember from last time, where literally NO food seems appealing. I'm eating because I have to rather than because I want to.

Last time this came after a phase where I was constantly ravenous and literally couldn't stop eating - seem to have skipped it so far this time.

And I'm knackered and grumpy and full of cold. I know the last one has nothing to do with being pregnant but it doesn't help!

ItchyBodCrane Wed 27-Nov-13 14:01:44

Sorry about the sickness! Hope I will be lucky and escape that symptom.

Thanks for the reassurance about symptoms coming and going. I will try to restrain myself from poking my boobs. Well, at least until I get home.

Blamenargles Wed 27-Nov-13 14:07:41

Ally that sounds good.

Holly I was nearly sick at work this morning not fun.

First day back at work after 10 days off and the trousers feel tight!! Hope that's down to constipation or it's going to be hard to hide bump confused

DinkyFrinkbuster Wed 27-Nov-13 15:55:31

No-one else has mentioned it so I will...is anyone really very, um, windy?

DinkyMole Wed 27-Nov-13 16:01:03

Yup. Probably should rename myself to ParpyMole grin

DinkyFrinkbuster Wed 27-Nov-13 16:20:46

Glad it's not just me. Think I've scares my toddler a few times!

Hollyjokes Wed 27-Nov-13 16:32:11

I'm not windy at all but sort of wish I was - it might give me some relief from this horrible constipation! Sorry TMI! grin

Is anyone else counting down the hours till bedtime? I am SO tired!

DinkyMole Wed 27-Nov-13 16:35:53

Oh no Holly I have that too. Either that or the total opposite. The joys!

GillyMac93 Wed 27-Nov-13 16:36:08

Just off to the doctors to confirm pregnancy , wAs going to wait a few weeks but I don't feel
Comfortable taking the painkillers I'm on for my back without checking . Feels quite real now! I don't think it will really hit me until the scan smile

Allypallyjelly Wed 27-Nov-13 16:53:32

Thanks 2beornot, blame and all
Feeling much more nauseous today (maybe it's psychological!) but agree with blame that trousers are getting slightly tighter now!!
tallulah how did your scan go?

TheBookofRuth Wed 27-Nov-13 19:06:21

Just had a very dizzy spell whilst leaning over to run my DD's bath. Had to just sit on the bathroom floor till someone came and rescued me, then lie on our bed feeling useless till the room stopped spinning while DH dealt with DD.

GillyMac93 Wed 27-Nov-13 19:21:41

Hope your ok Ruth

DinkyFrinkbuster Wed 27-Nov-13 19:29:00

I had an afternoon of that 6 weeks in last time but that was the extent of my sickness. Hopefully you'll be the same!

Hollyjokes Wed 27-Nov-13 19:38:47

Oh Ruth I hope you're ok, how are you feeling now?

How did your appointment go gilly?

TheBookofRuth Wed 27-Nov-13 19:44:30

Thanks guys. I don't feel as dizzy anymore, just a bit...spacey. I've had a few dizzy spells recently but that was the worst.

talulahbelle Wed 27-Nov-13 20:11:24

Tiny bit of pink spotting for me this evening. I feel more nauseous, and still bloated and erring more often, but my sore boobs seem completely back to normal.
So scared.
My early scan isn't until Monday, I don't know how I'm going to cope with the wait.

GillyMac93 Wed 27-Nov-13 20:46:09

Hi folks appointment went well , have to refer myself to
Maternity unit , thought that's what I was going to the gp for confused glad to hear your better Ruth . There's more pink spotting on the thread good signs , I'm avidly knicker checking here!

ShoesBagsDresses Wed 27-Nov-13 21:36:09

Evening all, talulahbell I too am getting some pinkish spotting tonight. I wasn't too worried but have had a dull belly ache all day sad so coupled with this it's has me into a worry frenzy!
Now I'm really freaking out what with the lack of symptoms! Only slightly tender boobs so far.

I have to keep telling myself it's such early days and what will be will be.

Hope those getting sickness are feeling better tonight and that it's not getting anyone down at the mo x

DinkyMole Wed 27-Nov-13 21:51:59

Another dizzy one here. Have an interview tomorrow and slightly worried I'll be too ill for it confused Nothing seems to help either, lying down or standing up it's just as bad.
Didn't feel so sick today so that's a bonus grin

talulahbelle Thu 28-Nov-13 08:08:06

No spotting today yet (touch wood)
Went to be at 8:30 last night, still so so tired today. Very slightly sick and dizzy. Boobs not sore at all though.

Scan in 4 more days.

Allypallyjelly Thu 28-Nov-13 08:34:52

dinky good luck with interview and hope everyone feels better today!

GillyMac93 Thu 28-Nov-13 09:24:32

Hope we are all well today ! The dreaded sickness hasn't hit me yet !x

Hollyjokes Thu 28-Nov-13 10:12:54

Good luck with your interview Dinky, hope it goes well.

I vomited again as soon as I got up. I've since managed to have tea and toast and it seems to have settled my stomach because I don't feel too bad now. Just bloody knackered!

2beornot Thu 28-Nov-13 10:22:46

No sickness here yet either. Do feel knackered but that could just be life!!

Good luck, Dinky

talulahbelle Thu 28-Nov-13 13:24:07

shoes I'm getting cramps too. Trying not to panic, I keep saying 'I am pregnant today'

Wish I could fast forward to a healthy 12 week scan.

DinkyMole Thu 28-Nov-13 13:30:12

Thanks all, I managed to make it through without being sick. It was in a young persons centre and one of the young people said "I can see you're expecting" as he showed me out. CRINGE! I laughed and said yes, and now I don't know whether to say, I am but only 4 weeks, please still hire me confused

PinaColadas Thu 28-Nov-13 14:15:19

Hello ladies, I wonder if I can join?

Firstly Congratulations to everyone!

I'm 26, this will hopefully be DC#1, i'm very hesitaint to join, I had a MMC at almost 12 weeks in June followed by 12 weeks of bleeding when I eventually got seen to and had ERPC in September.

LMP 26th October but I ovulate late so guessing I'm due around 5th August. Had BFP yesterday morning, AF was due today.

I'm already on edge because i've had slight brown/pink spotting and having mild cramps. I'm so worried I can't concentrate on anything!

Can't really say I have symptoms other than peeing in the night which was why I took a test yesterday, I just knew it!!

The only thing i'm thinking I should be doing which i'm not is POAS every day, I thought a positive was a positive? I've got a sample pot from docs to confirm and take in tomorrow. But should I be POAS every day to make sure its getting darker? confused

GillyMac93 Thu 28-Nov-13 15:10:16

Hey Pina congratulations ! It's my first DC too .i think most of us ( not me ) have had spotting and iv had cramps most days .

I'm full of ridiculously stupid questions , but dr just said to make an appointment with maternity unit , I'm only 5 weeks should I make it now ? Is it 8 weeks for booking appointment ? First pregnancy and not prepared for it at all so really nervous and panicky about doing things right ! I made a vat of broccoli soup and taking a pregnancy vitamin , also walking as far as I can with dogs in the hope that being fit -ish means an easy labour ! Fat chance !grin

usmama Thu 28-Nov-13 15:25:06

Hello ladies! Congrats to all- may I join as another end July interloper?
This will be no.1 after a fair bit of time trying. Due date tentatively 30/7/14.
GillyMac93 like you I also have lots of questions! Am a bit confused, living in london but not from this area (and luckily not really had to access any health services until now). First GP appointment is in 2 weeks. Is where you go postcode based? Or possible to self refer for maternity services here?

Shakshuka Thu 28-Nov-13 15:31:06

Hi all

Congrats to everyone! Exciting but terrifying times!!

I hope I'm not being too optimistic by asking to join you?

I got a bfp yesterday smile The thing is that I haven't had a period since coming off my birth control pill so I have no idea how far along I am. I tested because I felt light headed which is how I felt last time I was pregnant, got a bfn on an internet cheapie but feeling didn't pass so tested with first response yesterday and got a nice strong line.

Someone on the conception thread told me about the tests with week counter so I did that this morning and it said 1-2 weeks (so 3-4 weeks pregnant) which means it must be really early days (I was surprised because surely I shouldn't be feeling light headed if I'm not even 4 weeks pregnant?). I'm trying not to get excited because I'm 39 (nearly 40) and the miscarriage stats aren't great especially if I'm not even 4 weeks!! I'm trying to look at it as a promising start but nothing more.

Those who have had spotting/bleeding, I had it with both my dc. With my first I had it from almost the start until about 8-9 weeks, a few times red blood and even quite heavy. Each time we were told it doesn't look good, but each scan showed all was fine! Of course it's nicer not to have the worry spotting or bleeding but it is very common.

usmama Thu 28-Nov-13 15:35:07

Hi shakshuka &congrats! The stats are scary, like you I am also just trying to keep things in perspective. fingers crossed! x

PinaColadas Thu 28-Nov-13 16:13:10

Hi GillyMac93 it's a relief to hear others have the spotting and cramps. I think I look forward to a time when I don't check the loo roll every time I go for a wee. GROSS.

First time round I went to doc who asked me if i'd done a home test, I said yes and he just gave me a number to call the anti natal clinic. They then sent me a letter in the next few weeks for a appt with a midwife, I was 7+4 at the appt where they did bloods and went through the basics, and then scan was booked at that apt for 12+3, never got to go to this as lost the baby at 11+5.

This time round i've asked to do a test at the doc, then when it comes back and is a BFP as hoped then i'll ring ANC, no need for docs appt.

Then its just the looooong wait. I really don't know how we are all going to get through these next 8 weeks til our first scans. I just feel like every second lasts a minute at the moment!

GillyMac93 Thu 28-Nov-13 17:00:24

Congratulations Shak and usmama!

pina it's awful isn't it , It doesn't feel real , I just want my scan and to be told it's all ok. I scared of everything , something going wrong , labour , looking after baby and I faint with blood or needles , had a panic attack last night over booking appointment .

usmama I'm glad it's not me 8 weeks seems such a long way away and i know nothing ! No idea I had to go to booking appointment ! Hopefully this thread will help us pass the time to the magic 12 weeks !

Hollyjokes Thu 28-Nov-13 17:02:50

Hello to the newbies and congratulations! I will add you all onto the list in a moment. Shakshuka, I will put your due date as unknown for now, but will change it if you have a rough estimate you want to go with?

Gilly, yes call for an appointment now. They will give you a date for in a weeks time for your booking in appointment with a midwife. I'm having mine when I'm 7 weeks, which is a bit earlier than I thought it'd be but it's the date I was given and I'll be glad to have a chance to chat to a midwife soon about the spotting I've had.

Dinky glad you got to your interview. How weird that someone realised you were pregnant! Try not to worry too much about it, they're not allowed to not offer you the job because you're pregnant, if you're the best candidate that they've interviewed. When will you hear?

Talulah I hope that you are able to relax over the weekend while waiting for your scan on Monday. I am sure that everything will be absolutely fine x

DinkyMole Thu 28-Nov-13 17:05:39

Holly, I obviously looked like I have a large bump in this dress haha! Cringe!

Early scan booked for 16th December when I'll be 7+3. Hoping it won't need to be internal but will be happy just to see everything is okay smile

Aw Dinky I am exactly the same, I look several months pregnant already! I'm sure it's just bloating/wind/constipation related but even still it looks like a solid bump!

I think we're going to try to book an early scan before Christmas too. It'd be really nice to know that everything was looking ok before we tell our families over Christmas. I hadn't thought about the scan being dildo cam though?! Has anyone else had an early scan before and know if it's internal or external? I'll still have it either way but it'd be nice to know beforehand!

DinkyMole Thu 28-Nov-13 17:16:18

Dildocam! Hahah! Yeah I'd rather it was external. I'll be 8+1 by LMP dates I think but I definitely ovulated late. Oh well, a scans a scan! Two weeks on Monday smile

usmama Thu 28-Nov-13 17:19:28

think <10weeks = DC (dildocam) grin
>10 = abdo
... I think, not 100%

DinkyFrinkbuster Thu 28-Nov-13 18:27:22

I had an external scan at 7 weeks and there was a very obvious blob with heartbeat - dildo can is not an inevitability!

talulahbelle Thu 28-Nov-13 20:01:11

Awful day, Dcat home for her last night, is being PTS tomorrow. I love her so much and can't stop crying.
Pretty much all pregnancy symptoms gone, I'm on cyclogest as this was an IVF pregnancy and I think that's the only thing keeping AF away.
Hoping for good news on Monday but not feeling lucky.

DinkyFrinkbuster Thu 28-Nov-13 20:12:07

So sorry about your cat, tallulah. It's like losing a friend, isn't it. Have you been over to The Litter Tray? They've been a helpful bunch for me in the past.

We will all keep everything crossed for you.

ItchyBodCrane Thu 28-Nov-13 20:25:17

So sorry about your cat talulah. I have a couple myself so I know what it's like. I'm sure she had a great life with you loving her so much.

GillyMac93 Thu 28-Nov-13 20:41:34

Thinking about you talulah thanks

Shakshuka Thu 28-Nov-13 21:56:40

So sorry about your cat. I have a dog and would be devastated if anything happened to him.

Fingers crossed that your pregnancy stays. Keep us posted.

Hollyjokes Thu 28-Nov-13 21:59:38

Oh Talulah I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I will be thinking of you tonight and tomorrow. Sending you lots of love. Please try not to overthink any lack of symptoms, it will soon be Monday and I am keeping everything crossed that you get good news then x

PinaColadas Thu 28-Nov-13 23:38:38

Aw I'm so sorry Talulah, I have a dog and I can't bare to think what you're going through. Take carethanks

baggyoldcow Fri 29-Nov-13 06:15:37

oh Talulah, what a thing to go through! I'm thinking of you today. Also fingers crossed for the pregnancy, the symptoms do seem to come and go so here's hoping all is well. thanks

Dinky - what a thing for them to say at your interview! Even if the bulge is pretty obvious blush it's a risky thing to say to a woman. Hopefully they'll hire you anyway. Fx.

Holly on the scan question, my scan was at 5.5 weeks and I thought they wouldn't see anything from the outside but it was really clear. They also did the 'dildo cam' smile on me but it's really not as ghastly an experience as all that. I always think with doctors etc. they've seen EVERYTHING a million times, whatever you've got to show is of no interest!

Welcome newbies usmama, Pina and Shaks ! Pina - you definitely don't need to POAS every day etc. but some of us freaks do it for 'laughs'. A positive is a positive and until you get a period you are pregnant. Congratulations! So just relax if you can.

Howly Fri 29-Nov-13 07:03:34

TFI friday I'm exhausted! anyone else bought a bigger bra yet? Mines getting uncomfortable!

PinaColadas Fri 29-Nov-13 09:11:33

Happy Friday ladies.
Thanks baggy although I was a little too relaxed this morning when I forgot to collect my morning wee to take to docs. Rung and they said the next one should be ok!
Howly the second I found out I got out my soft bras, any excuse aaaaaahh so comfy smile Last time round I found they were a life saver! underwires are your worst enemy.

baggyoldcow Fri 29-Nov-13 09:17:31

I'm shattered too, despite going to bed at 9. Heaven knows how I'm going to survive 9 months of this!

ItchyBodCrane Fri 29-Nov-13 13:04:54

I called the doctor this morning to ask what I should do next. My regular doctor is away until mid December but they said they had an appt with another one at lunchtime so I took it, even though it is early days (6 weeks since last period). Luckily I am on holiday today!

He took my blood pressure, weight and then I asked about the flu jab and he said he could do it then and there so I said yes. Booking appointment is day after Boxing Day which is great as it means I don't have to take time off work. Bit nervous going so soon, seems like tempting fate but it was good to tell someone else in real life other than DH!

Hollyjokes Fri 29-Nov-13 13:35:57

No bigger bras here just yet - my boobs are still exactly the same! I remember how comfy the soft bras were though last time so may stock up soon anyway.

Glad to hear that an early scan doesn't necessarily mean dildo cam smile My scan won't be at the hospital, just in one of those 3D scan places, so would feel a bit weird dropping my pants in a non medical setting!

ItchyBodCrane Fri 29-Nov-13 13:41:54

fwiw I've had the dildocam twice (for non pregnancy related reasons) and it's nothing. It's a little bit larger than a tampon and doesn't go in very far. I could barely feel it.

Shakshuka Fri 29-Nov-13 14:55:06

I tested this morning with one of my internet cheapies (God knows why, I need to stop - but I'm still in shock!!) and the line was definitely fainter than before. So I cracked open one of my first response and also the line was fainter than on Wednesday.

I'm hoping that it's because I've been very thirsty and had had a big glass of water just before I went to sleep so the wee would be more dilute.

But definitely preparing for the worst. Especially because I don't know how far along I am, I might not even be 4 weeks - normally I wouldn't test until my due date because I'd rather not know if it's a chemical pregnancy.

Anyone else super thirsty by the way?

Allypallyjelly Fri 29-Nov-13 16:07:07

Anyone's got this horrible bitter taste after food that lingers on forever ? sad makes me wanna be sick

Allypallyjelly Fri 29-Nov-13 16:08:43

Shak - don't worry about the lines. With my previous preg I always get darker lines in evenings?! If you really want to be sure maybe get some blood test done? Yes really thirsty too!

PinaColadas Fri 29-Nov-13 16:54:10

I'm super thirsty!
I'm starting to wonder how I'm going to get through this, I'm so paranoid about losing it again, feel like time is going so slowly already and I've only known 48 hours. I was so happy and relatively relaxed last time!

GillyMac93 Fri 29-Nov-13 18:34:04

pina I feel the same , time is dragging because if it . I have the horrible taste in my mouth and really thirsty and tired too, roll on 12 weeks scans so we can relax and enjoy our pregnancies !

DinkyFrinkbuster Fri 29-Nov-13 18:41:37

grin at holly - I would feel bloody awkward about that, too!

Very dry mouth here, however much I drink. Feeling rather hard done by today - it's my birthday and I can't have a drink. Or can I...would you? I didn't last time.

Agree, time is dragging horribly. Wednesdays are my new week days, so every one will be celebrated!

GillyMac93 Fri 29-Nov-13 21:47:49

Happy birthday Dinky ! Have a virtual wine

Morganlove Fri 29-Nov-13 22:37:45

Hello all (& happy birthday Dinky)

Glad others have a dry mouth too, in the morning it's like I've not had water for years!

Went to the GP today for first time since finding out. Was prepared to be underwhelmed as on previous threads I'd seen people say they felt like this. Couldn't have been more wrong, he was lovely and so pleased for me. Made it feel a little bit more real too (though still not totally real!).

Hope everyone has a nice weekend, I'm off to drink another gallon of water now.......

Allypallyjelly Fri 29-Nov-13 22:44:18

Happy birthday Dinky!!! wine thanks cake xxx

Hollyjokes Fri 29-Nov-13 23:38:31

Happy birthday DF! Hope you've had a nice day smile

Glad your appointment went well Morgan smile

Today has definitely been the toughest for me so far. I've been sick a LOT and the nausea has been pretty much constant in between. This is how it started last time before developing into hyperemesis pretty quickly. I just don't think I can go through that again, especially not now I already have DD to look after. Do you think it's too early to see the GP and ask for anti sickness meds? Of course, it may not get any worse than this but today has been pretty grim and I think it might be a good idea to nip things in the bud before the sickness gets out of control?

Hope everyone else is feeling ok x

justhayley Sat 30-Nov-13 00:39:45

Hiya got the date for my booking appointment today - December 9th smile Earlier than expected. Can't decided if I'd prefer to have my scan before or after Christmas though.

Freaking out tonight, had the smallest amount of brown discharge tonight but then nothing when I wiped. It really was tiny but it's really upset me and im sure its the start of something horrible. Not sure how I'd manage with another mc so close to the last one. am so paranoid I'm going to wake up properly bleeding. So scared & can't sleepsad

DinkyMole Sat 30-Nov-13 08:09:06

Happy birthday for yesterday Dinky smile

Hayley, sounds like implantation bleeding to me. Try not to worry too much, though I know that's easier said than done.

Sorry to hear the sickness is getting worse Holly. I think it's definitely worth seeing the doctor.

Nothing much to report here. Just still soooooo tired. I'm at Uni all weekend as well, and have an assignment due on Wednesday so think the zombie feeling is here to stay grin

Allypallyjelly Sat 30-Nov-13 08:30:00

holly I'm sorry your nausea and being sick has become worse. Definitely visit the GP as you have history of HG. Let us know how you get on.

Allypallyjelly Sat 30-Nov-13 08:31:59

I don't even know what's normal but have been throwing up few times a day esp in afternoon and evening less so in morning. Making work really difficult as I'm shattered plus nauseous plus throwing up plus having a very bitter taste in the mouth after meal which makes MS even worse !

Hollyjokes Sat 30-Nov-13 09:03:12

Thanks guys, I think I will definitely see the GP this week. I was sobbing to DH this morning that I can't go through this again. I'm really hoping that the GP can give me something this early, even if it just takes the edge off.

talulahbelle Sat 30-Nov-13 15:08:44

6 weeks today and I still have hardly any symptoms. I'm up a couple of times in the night to pee, am bloated and have slightly sore boobs but that's it. Where's the nausea? The fatigue? Not that I want to feel ill but it would be a whole lot more reassuring.
I am also having a few cramps on and off, not strong enough to be very painful though.

2 days until my early scan.

Howly Sat 30-Nov-13 15:43:11

I'm just feeling rough, like I've got hangover, tired body, sore boobs and feeling sick but not actually being sick! Also got a Headache on and off! Going to plod in the gym and go for a swim to help ease it!

Shakshuka Sat 30-Nov-13 16:20:23

I didn't really have nausea with either pregnancy, talulah, apart from a few isolated incidents. Hoping that'll be the case this time, although also wouldn't mind the reassurance of nausea!

How was it with your cat? I hope it wasn't too traumatic. sad

holly, that sounds miserable. A good friend of mine had hypermersis with all 3 of her pregnancies, it was awful for her. I hope they can give you something for it.

Happy birthday dinkie!

My only signs so far is feeling a bit dizzy/light headed, very thirsty and stinky wee! dd walked into the bathroom after I'd been and went 'eww, mum, what's that smell!'.

But my internet cheapie ritual showed an even fainter line this morning than before. Not a good sign. Me and dh look upon a 3rd child as our luxury child. If it happens, fabulous. If not,we have 2 beautiful daughters and we'll continue as we are. So I'm looking at this pregnancy as a hopeful start but nothing more for now.

PinaColadas Sat 30-Nov-13 16:42:11

Hi JustHayley I hope you got to sleep, I'm finding it hard to sleep too. Do you find that when you wake up your mind is racing round? I'm exactly the same I keep wondering how I'd cope with another MC, every time I go to the loo I think it's going to be over. We will have to take one day at a time it's all we can do. Hope you're feeling better today. Take care thanks
I've been feeling a bit sick today and I'm actually egging it on, the more symptoms I have the happier I am hoping that this is the real thing this time.

justhayley Sat 30-Nov-13 20:31:11

Hiya, I actually posted this in the wrong thread, although I'm due end of July so could easily be august.
Thank you for your kind messages.

I did sleep but kept waking up stressing out every hour or so. Am totally fine today no more bleeding or anything so hopefully all is well.
I'm actually pregnant with twins, although at my scan last week one sac was more developed than the other so I'm half expecting to MC twin 2sad. Also had a MC in September so am really nervous at the moment.
Anyway every day is a bonus so fx I guess. Xxx

Armadale Sun 01-Dec-13 12:15:24

Hi Ladies, can I very tentatively join please?

My due date is 5th Aug so far, but I think this might change as I conceived in the cycle immediately following a MC, so not a normal 28 day cycle.

To the Post MC ladies, I absolutely understand about the nervousness, it is hard to regain that innocence, isn't it? Agree with you every day is a bonus. (This is my 6th PG following 4 MC's and 1 late loss, so I'm a basket case).

GillyMac93 Sun 01-Dec-13 12:32:35

Hi Armadale! Good luck with your pregnancy !smile

Armadale Sun 01-Dec-13 12:42:06

Thanks for the welcome, Gilly!

funkymonk Sun 01-Dec-13 13:26:34

Good luck with it all armadale!

I had a lot of brown cm yesterday so am fearing the worst. Symptoms have gradually got less and less over last few days so I am quite sure its over. Just constant knickersl checking waiting for the blood to arrive. I'm so sad. On a group weekend away with 14 people so having to be sociable and cheerful when I just want to curl up in bed and cry sad
Anyone else having this brown cm? I had pink cm last Monday on 2 trips to toilet and nothing since.

Shakshuka Sun 01-Dec-13 14:04:45

Wow, armadale, that's a lot of loss to go through. Congratulations on this pregnancy - I hope it's smooth sailing for you.

Funkymonk - I bled a lot in my first pregnancy. I know it's really scary and worrying but it does happen a lot even in perfectly healthy pregnancies.

HungryHorace Sun 01-Dec-13 17:07:06

Hi! Can I join please?

I've not read the thread, so excuse me for not knowing any names.

I've got a BFP today and I think I'm due about 14th August. I may sneak into July though as I'll most likely have an ELCS at 38 weeks.

I have a 5 month old DD (yes, you read that right) and although this was planned, I'm feeling quite overwhelmed and very scared right now.

Here's to happy and healthy pregnancies all round. :-)

HungryHorace Sun 01-Dec-13 17:12:39

Funkymonk, how far along are you? Brown CM is old blood, not fresh bleeding. It may still be from implantation.

Bleeding is really common, so try not to worry (impossible, I know, as pregnancy is 50% worry at least).

When are you home?

GillyMac93 Sun 01-Dec-13 17:43:10

Hey * Horace* Wow your going to be bust with that age gap ! Lovely though.

HungryHorace Sun 01-Dec-13 17:50:13

Hi Gilly! Yep, busy is one word for it. Mental is another!

Can't wait to tell work I'm only going back for 6 weeks next year! :-)

Ruggle Sun 01-Dec-13 19:00:41

I've just got a very very early positive (not yet big and fat, but a positive nonetheless) that may just put me on this August bus...however, I am only 25 days post mc (at 5 weeks), following another mmc back in July (11 weeks)...so trying not to get my hopes up just yet, but wanted to say hello in case this one works out!

funkymonk Sun 01-Dec-13 19:44:31

Wow horace you will have your hands full!
I'm 6+2today on lmp but really I'm prob 5+6 due to ovulation dates. Too late for implantation?
Holly are you still having the pink stuff? I know ally is.

HungryHorace Sun 01-Dec-13 20:30:20

Hi Ruggle!

Mine is a 10 DPO faint one. But it's there nonetheless! I'm sorry for your losses. Good luck!

Funkymonk, yes I certainly will. I must be crazy!

Maybe too late for implantation, but I don't think it's uncommon. I've read that if it's old blood it's better than red, fresh, blood. I hope it's all ok.

I had pink CM and also fresh blood at 20 and 24 weeks last time. They were due to a cervical ectropian and nothing sinister. Still worrying though, at the time.

Hollyjokes Sun 01-Dec-13 20:39:57

Evening ladies and hello to our newbies smile

I'm sorry to hear that lots of you are feeling so worried. I'm really hoping that we all get through this with good outcomes.

Funky yes I am still having odd bits of pink cm. Not as much as I was but it is still happening a bit. How often are you having it?

Talulah good luck for your scan tomorrow x

New ladies I will add you to the stats list now, if I make any mistakes please correct me smile

Hi holly. I had some pink cm just once last Monday and then nothing until yesterday morning when it was brown cm a few times throughout the day. Same again today. Seems to be intermittent. That combined with disappearing symptoms have me very worried. Still on group weekend away but heading home in morning and going to call Epu.

Hollyjokes Sun 01-Dec-13 22:11:53

Yes definitely call them if you're worried funky. I hope that everything turns out to be ok and that they can reassure you. But it's definitely worth seeing them to hopefully put your mind at ease x
I have my booking appointment on Friday so will discuss my pink cm with the MW then and I think I'm also going to book a private early scan before Christmas too.

Good luck Talulah. Hope it's all ok.

I'm going to doctors this morning. I'm only 5w today but as I'm rather large i need a prescription for the 5mg folic acid. Really hope she doesn't weigh me again and just uses weight from last time coz I was borderline for not being able to give birth at MLU, and now I know they won't let me.

DinkyMole Mon 02-Dec-13 07:15:49

Good luck T - we'll be here with brew and cake later.

2beornot Mon 02-Dec-13 09:06:35

Right, so who has the correct response for why they are not drinking? I'm am so going to be outed by Christmas at this rate. I went out Saturday and didn't drink, plus am out with same group next Saturday too!

Also I'm no good at lying so if someone asks me outright I won't want to say no (also I don't want to wish pregnancy away). I'm thinking the response to that is "don't ask me that. With my history, even if I were pregnant I wouldn't want to say. And if not you've just reminded me that I'm still not pregnant". Does that sound ok or a bit rude?!

Hollyjokes Mon 02-Dec-13 09:41:11

Good luck Talulah, keeping everything crossed for you x

Sounds fine to me 2be - I'm sure the person in question and anyone who overhears won't ask again smile Rather than just not drinking, can you make it look as if you are? Pretend there's vodka in your coke, pretend there's gin in your lime & soda? Pour your becks blue or non alcoholic kopparberg into a glass at the bar so everyone thinks it's the real thing?

I'm really worried about my weight this time too. I still haven't lost all of my baby weight from last time and am starting this pregnancy more than a stone heavier than my last one. It might not sound like much but I'm a bit of a short arse so this puts my bmi at something like 32, which is classed as obese confused

HungryHorace Mon 02-Dec-13 09:57:43

Holly, I'm in the same situation re weight. God knows what my BMI is right now. That'll be a nice 'surprise' at booking in! I'm sure they can refer to Slimming World up here who cater for pregnant women, so if I can get that I will.

2be, I agree that that's a good response. Hopefully it'll stop people asking if they think they're upsetting you.

I'm barely drinking since having DD so it's easy to just not bother without anyone getting suspicious!

I'm scared that I'm going to be even heavier at booking in as the only things I'm able to stomach right now are chips, bread and biscuits!

GillyMac93 Mon 02-Dec-13 10:27:31

Just phoned and got booking appointment , I'm only six weeks going by cb digital ! She kept asking when my last period was and told her the last one I remember was end of September/early October ! Which dates me at ten weeks , I'm such an idiot I have no idea when I had my period that's the last one I. Remember. A digital test can't be wrong ! Embarrassed to go now !

Well, if all goes to plan I'll have a due date of 14 August. I'm 39 and this will be DC1!! I have a 5 year old step daughter, and she'd very very much love a sibling.

Phew! Scan Ok, confirmed my dates and we saw a heartbeat. And because of past problems and losses I get another scan in two weeks at 8+2.
More tonight, got to get to work now.

Hollyjokes Mon 02-Dec-13 11:57:17

Aw Gilly don't be embarrassed! I bet this sort of thing happens all the time smile

Ruggle I really hope that everything goes well for you x

Yey talulah!!!

DinkyMole Mon 02-Dec-13 12:12:32

The dates on CB digis aren't that accurate Gilly. I'm sure they have lots of ladies who aren't quite sure when they last had a period.

Ruggle, congrats!

Tallulah, what a relief smile So pleased for you.

5+3 here - symptoms on and off but manageable. Scan two weeks today - so excited about that. Getting all Christmassy at home. It's the first Christmas living with DF so I'm really looking forward to it smile

I self-referred this morning and am waiting for my appointment now.

I'm causing mayhem too as my last proper AF was 10th October. I had 7 days of spotting from 2nd November, but not a period as such. But I had a positive OPK on 20th November and the digi dates me as 3-4 weeks' pregnant.

I'll see what date they're basing it on when my appointment / scan dates appear in the post!

Ruggles, same date as me. I bet you're so excited!
