Woodifer Sun 18-Aug-13 23:19:14

Ok here's a new thread. 40+1 today for me. Will officially sulk if this thread is full before DC2 makes an appearance.

Boosiehs Sun 18-Aug-13 23:49:33

Well no sign of mine either. 39+3. Tired and feeling like a whale.

However I don't want junior to arrive just yet. DH had an op on his shoulder last Thursday and he can't do anything with his left arm and is in pain. Pretty useless with a newborn around!

PurpleDana Mon 19-Aug-13 00:04:20

40+1, or +2 now it's just gone midnight. Really cant see how baby can get any bigger inside me now, we are both so squished!!
Boobs are leaking more the past few days but nothing else to report. Ho hum...

LilPeasMama Mon 19-Aug-13 00:43:08

Hi everyone,
I really want to try to breastfeed but on the list of things to take to the hospital it states a tub of formula, I don't really want to buy one but I have worried, what if I can't BF for whatever reason then I don't have any formula handy?
What has everyone else done?

39+6 but no signs yet

Gerty1002 Mon 19-Aug-13 04:01:27

LilPeas I want to breastfeed too but was advised to buy prepacked made up bottles for the hospital just in case it doesn't work out as they won't let you go home unless you have some way of feeding baby. My hospital doesn't have facilities for making up formula.

They are a bit pricey but thought they would be good to have just in case. You can get them in big supermarkets or boots and come in boxes of 6 or 12 - I just went for 6.

JollyHappyGiant Mon 19-Aug-13 06:28:25

Signing in smile I've popped some cartons of aptamil in my hospital bag. I've got no plans to use them but BF with DS wasn't very easy and I'm going to be in hospital for a couple of days so it seems sensible.

38+4, ELCS on Thursday smile

MrsLianeB Mon 19-Aug-13 07:19:18

40+5 today sad having another sweep on weds if no movement and I am so bloody uncomfortable now! I better give birth on this thread!
lilpeas I'm not able to bf but know my hospital doesn't have ff facilities so you have to take premade single use bottles. Having had a friend unable to bf she was quite distressed and her oh had to run to tesco after midnight to buy some for their pfb, I would say a box of 6 in your bag and not used would take away any stresses if things don't go to plan.

BrieMonster Mon 19-Aug-13 07:35:09

Do all these hospitals really not supply it? Surely they have to if it's required by a bf mother for top ups etc. in fact even the mum's who'd already decided on ff were provided them in my hosp.
Just don't want anyone wasting their pennies!!

LilPeasMama Mon 19-Aug-13 07:52:48

Brie see that's what I thought?
A friend gave birth recently, although at a different hospital and was given small cups of hipp organic I think, as far as I know she didn't want to or had no intention of bf'ing and the hospital definitely supplied them?

MrsL that's it, I didn't want poor DP to be dashing off in a panic not knowing which milk to buy in the early hours if baby needed it.

cakebaby Mon 19-Aug-13 08:42:38

Morning mummies to be.....

Marking place, 39+2 and no sign of anything yet. Sweep booked for edd, though not keen on that really!

At a bf class we were advised not to take ff to hospital or have any at home unless intending to use it as temptation may prove too much when things get tricky. My hospital does supply it though if necessary.

Bakingabubba Mon 19-Aug-13 09:21:35

Morning all!

Well 40+6 here today and still nothing! sad Have MW appointment this AM and last week she said she would do a S&S today if still no baby. Am really hoping that it will get things moving cos I am getting quite bored of waiting for this baby and if it stays in me much longer it is going to turn me into the Michelin man. Was feeling super smug quite pleased that I had barely any foot swelling right up until 48 hours ago and now I have developed majorly attractive cankles hmm

With regard the great formula debate - hospitals vary as to whether or not they will supply formula. I am lucky in that our hospital does, although am planning to breastfeed, but formula is available if we need it (or for anyone who chooses to use bottles). I have a friend whose hospital doesn't supply any but she is planning to bottle feed so is taking boxes of the pre-made bottles. I think they would be better than taking a tin of formula as sterilising on a postnatal ward could get pretty interesting from my experience of how much space is available (think broom cupboard and then downsize a bit).

I have decided to buy a ready made carton of formula for the cupboard at home. We also bought the tommee tippee manual breast pump which a friend recommended mostly cos it comes with a bottle, newborn teat and small microwaveable steriliser box. It was quite cheap on amazon last week (under £20). This seemed to give us a fallback for 3am should we need one and also the option to express and feed breast milk by bottle for top ups if necessary etc.

Worth checking exactly what your hospital's policy is (ring up the postnatal ward) and if you need to bring your own then I would go with the ready made bottles. But also worth asking what they do with babies who are breastfeeding and need top ups because technically this is a medical intervention (usually but not always discussed with a paediatrician) as a baby needing a formula top up is potentially at risk of being unwell without the extra grub (otherwise they should be leaving well alone!) If this is the only reason that you would plan to use formula then it seems a bit much to ask you to bring your own - are they making your bring your own paracetamol as well?!

Sorry for long post but hope it is vaguely helpful to someone out there!

Come on August babies - we want to meet you!!!

Gonnabmummy Mon 19-Aug-13 13:06:59

38+5 here no signs as of yet, apart from my back feels like its broke in 2. Was fine til about 3 days ago.

For know I'm happy to get a couple days over as DP has hols booked for last two week in sept so will make a nice month off with paternity Ifhes around 5 days late i think. Also it would make him a early sept baby like me smile

Only 9 days till due date and its flying in everyone said it would drag but isn't for me. Anyone else finding it hard to comprehend that the wiggly worm inside them is about to become a newborn baby. I just can't get my head around it, can't believe there's a full baby ready to rock n roll in my belly! Lol x

MrsLianeB Mon 19-Aug-13 13:48:23

Brie from what I can gather the hospital get some special bf status and a lot of money so do not offer any assistance for ff. Due to medication I take I can't bf so asked for help and advice for ff and no one is even allowed to advise me apart from telling me to read the formula packet!
Its not like I've chose not to bf I'm not allowed too!! angry

Snufflebabe Mon 19-Aug-13 14:39:03

When I had DD 3 years ago, there was no pressure on either form of feeding. I tried BF, it wasn't for me, so the hospital provided mini bottles of formula. The teats came in separate packets which you then just screwed onto the bottle. When it was time to leave, they gave me enough to do the first couple of days.

PurpleDana Mon 19-Aug-13 18:34:50

gonnab I really struggle to imagine my very wriggly worm inside me actually being a little baby at the end of all this. I actually got so upset and worried about it that I spoke to health visitor about it when she came for an introductory visit. She said it was perfectly normal for me to feel that way based on my past fertility issues & how much this baby is wanted. I used to have quite morbid thoughts & thought that because I couldn't picture her being here it meant that it actually wasn't going to happen. Now she's overdue I am worrying again that its because something is wrong :-(

LilPeasMama Mon 19-Aug-13 18:41:25

baking are they making your bring your own paracetamol as well?! gringrin

snuffle they were the exact same thing as what my friend had so it didn't even enter my head to take my own.

Well how silly do I feel.....
TMI warning

Had thrush, saw GP, given cream, swab came back as postive, script left for pessary.
Used pessary last Thursday, since then or since Friday I have been getting clear clumps of jelly like discharge confused
I thought it was just down to using the pessary and that was supposed to happen?
Rang the triage unit this afternoon, midwife says its mucous plug shock
cue how silly do I feel!
No pain or other symptoms so told to ring back if anything else happens, my DP is so excited but now but I feel scared like I'm not ready at all!

Boosiehs Mon 19-Aug-13 18:47:00

Good luck littlepeas! Fingers crossed this is it.

I'm sat in the GP waiting room where I've been waitin for over an hour to hve my BP checked. It's a bit high and I've been coming in every couple of days. This is so annoying! Te wait isn't doing anything for my BP!

Gonnabmummy Mon 19-Aug-13 19:08:00

purple your overdue just keep thinking it literally will be any moment now that you'll meet baby smile
That's what I keep saying to DP who can't wait, I say everyday that goes by means you have a higher chance of meeting him the next day smile

Bakingabubba Mon 19-Aug-13 19:27:12

Good luck LilPeas hope things soon get moving for you!

Another TMI alert:

I had my 'stretch and sweep' this morning. Was more of a vigorous poke in the cervix (sorry if TMI) as couldn't quite do the real thing hmm... Have had some bloody discharge since and A LOT of braxton hicks earlier. I am not holding my breath but really really hope something might happen soon...

Gonnabmummy Mon 19-Aug-13 21:07:18

Fingers crossed baking

fell asleep aroun 4:15pm and didn't wake up til 6:45pm, just realised about 5 mins ago that I don't think I've felt LO move since I've got up :/
Going to concentrate for an hour if nothing phone hosp.
Grr unneeded stress
Will update soon x

PurpleDana Mon 19-Aug-13 23:17:49

Thanks gonnab :-)

JollyHappyGiant Tue 20-Aug-13 04:08:37

Yaaawn. I'm not built for 4am wake ups. Hope baby realises this once they arrive!

Gonnabmummy Tue 20-Aug-13 08:08:38

Forgot to update, half hour later we had a tango so alls well got midwife tomorrow will be 39 exactly so close now!

Bakingabubba Tue 20-Aug-13 08:24:07

Glad to hear about the tango gonna smile

Distinctly uneventful night here... It is our wedding anniversary today so planning a nice day out followed by dinner in a nice restaurant. Feel free to mess up my plans baby...!

Gonnabmummy Tue 20-Aug-13 10:12:43

Aww baking would be lovely if baby rocked up on your anniversary fingers crossed for you smile

Bakingabubba Tue 20-Aug-13 10:25:02

Thanks gonna

Gerty1002 Tue 20-Aug-13 10:57:34

A question for you ladies - baby is so low now that his movements feel like they're going to break my pelvis! I also think he keeps hitting a nerve cos my hip has given way beneath me a few times. My hips are really sore through the night, too. Is it worth self-referring to physio at this point (38+4) or is it just a case of waiting it out til baby comes?

PurpleDana Tue 20-Aug-13 12:16:08

gerty personally I wouldn't bother self referring to physio at this point unless its really debilitating. Maybe chat to midwife to see if she has any advice or can suggest excercises to help? Sitting on birthing ball can help during day, it kinda works like water - supporting you & taking pressure off your pelvis & hips. Google birthing ball exercises

JollyHappyGiant Tue 20-Aug-13 22:18:53

Argh, baby is coming on Thursday and we no longer have a boy's name we agree on!

Gerty1002 Tue 20-Aug-13 22:59:47

Thanks PurpleDana, midwife coming tomorrow so will chat to her about it. Managed to have an hour of uninterrupted nap this morning after taking some paracetamol, but don't want to have to rely on that to be able to sleep!

Hi, 41 weeks today, I think I was on this antenatal thread at the very beginning but I just never really had much time to keep up (til now) sorry. Lying here like a beached whale feeling sorry for myself, everything is stretched out, sore and twingy. I thought things were happening last night but now they aren't.

Anyone else past 41 weeks and getting seriously grumpy?

Bakingabubba Wed 21-Aug-13 09:36:14

Hi james yep I'm 41+1 with no signs of anything much except a bit of a show after a not very proper sweep on Monday (not sure if that even counts as a show TBH). Getting fed up of everyone texting now and would really like to meet my baby (who is currently practising their best moves on my belly - save it for the school disco kid!)

Gerty1002 Wed 21-Aug-13 10:48:59

I'm not even 39 weeks yet and I'm seriously grumpy haha. I found out I was pregnant almost immediately after conception (if dates are to be believed, which I'm sceptical about) so feel like I've been pregnant forever. Having twinges for 1.5 weeks and severe lack of sleep doesn't help smile.

Bakingabubba Wed 21-Aug-13 10:57:43

Today I feel like I might actually be pregnant FOREVER. sad

MrsLianeB Wed 21-Aug-13 12:55:36

James I describe myself as more of an upside down beetle when lying in bed I have to swing my legs out then kind of push my top half up then sit on the edge for 2 mins to catch my breath before moving!
41 today too and having grumpy days followed by at least I only have another week left at the most!

Baking after trying for 8 years and having 4 mc in 4 years I really do feel like I've been preggo forever! OH wants to start trying again straight away as in his words 'we've cracked it now!' I've told him no way we'll be giving ourselves at least a year before trying for the next one I want to really enjoy our special pfb!

BrieMonster Wed 21-Aug-13 16:09:18

Hiya james! Hope it happens soon! And everyone else who's fed up as well. X

Hi Brie! grin how are you?

Yes to the upside down beetle effect, I'm the same with spd etc. getting out of bed for a wee in the night takes ages, and it takes a while to walk normally, I properly stagger to the loo! It really hurts having a full bladder now. I won't miss this bit (but might miss stroking the bump) Last baby here smile

Snufflebabe Wed 21-Aug-13 18:53:13

Just a quick message to say I had a baby girl on Tuesday morning! Woke up at 0130 feelings bit off, then contractions kicked in around 3 mins apart. Called inlaws to come your house as DD1 sleeping and got to hospital at 3am. Contractions intensified so I was glad to have gas and air. Was already 4cm by the time I got to hospital. Spent time in the hiring pool but spent last hour/2 hours on the bed in various positions.

DD2 born at 0655. No tears after a previous third degree tear so I was thrilled.

Got home at tea time yesterday.

Good luck to all those waiting. I had an induction booked for Thursday at 41+0 and baby wasn't engaged until I went into labour do I really didn't think I was going to go by myself.

cakebaby Wed 21-Aug-13 20:10:16

snuffle what a lovely birth story, congratulations! I also have induction booked 1 week over due, baby not engaged, eeeekkkkk any tips?

PurpleDana Wed 21-Aug-13 21:03:18

Congrats snuffle!
Midwife & sweep tomoro... Fx

Woodifer Wed 21-Aug-13 21:17:29

Ooh dana I've got sweep tomorrow too...

PurpleDana Wed 21-Aug-13 22:49:10

It's gotta happen for one of us then woodifer! Good luck x

MrsLianeB Thu 22-Aug-13 07:40:52

Congrats snuffle flowers
41+1 today had another sweep yesterday had lots of lightening straight after and was uncomfortable all evening but no contractions so pretty sureim looking at induction over the weekend sad just hope the gel works so I can have the water birth I want.
MW suggested if I get the option to go in in the evening rather than morning so Oh can come home and I can sleep before anything exciting starts. Anyone been induced before do you think this is for the best?

Bakingabubba Thu 22-Aug-13 08:19:10

mrsB I am in a very similar situation to you with induction booked for over weekend. Hoping to have second sweep today just need to speak to MW this AM. Would also be very keen to hear anyone's experiences of induction. Sending you hugs mrs B - this sucks a bit doesn't it?

Gerty1002 Thu 22-Aug-13 08:29:49

Got midwife home visit today - anyone know if she'll check my cervix if I ask her to? Just want to know if all these niggles are doing anything!

Boosiehs Thu 22-Aug-13 08:58:22

Well. Due date today. Can't believe I've managed to keep this baby inside for 40 weeks! Crazy thing, nature.

Anyway. Off to the hosp this morning to be monitored for suspected pre-eclampsia. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing. Fx.

Good luck to you all having sweeps today. Lets get those babies out!!

Gonnabmummy Thu 22-Aug-13 09:22:31

Not sure gerty I doubt it, mine won't do a think til your due date :/

Good luck purple let me know how it goes got my first sweep booked a week tomorrow when I'll be 40+2. Got it into my head if baby's stil not here by then he can wait to the Sunday as it'll be sept then. Don't know why I want that so much but oh well he'll come when he comes.
As long as its not the 31st long story
Hope everyone's hanging in there x

PurpleDana Thu 22-Aug-13 11:45:31

Sweep was very successful. Midwife found cervix very easily, everything is very low, she could easily insert one finger & could feel baby's head :-) She did a thorough sweep using part of 2nd finger too & said cervix seems very favourable. So fx things will start to happen!
I hope so cos she booked induction for next Friday evening, I really don't think I could wait that long! I will be 40+13 then! I thought I would feel relieved & as if the end is in sight coming home with an induction date, but next Friday seems soooo far away!!

Bakingabubba Thu 22-Aug-13 15:33:45

Don't worry purple with that sweep it sounds like you will be busy cuddling your baby by next Friday! smile Fingers crossed. Mine was less satisfactory but some progress from the other day...trying to think positive but I think I'll be keeping my appointment with the induction team for the weekend somehow...hmm

Gerty1002 Thu 22-Aug-13 15:47:58

Good luck ladies I hope you both manage to avoid induction!

No exciting news from my midwife appointment this morning, she said they won't do internal until 40+10 so guess I just have to wait it out. She told me to carry on with normal daily life... not so easy when walking has suddenly become excruciating but never mind.

PeanutSmuggler2013 Thu 22-Aug-13 16:51:20

Yep, totally there with you Baking and Mrs B - am 41+2 today and no sign of peanut, despite a semi-successful sweep yesterday (one finger only blush).

Induction booked for Sunday...have tried everything bar castor oil, baby too happy where it is!

Having had a fine pregnancy, have finally developed some hideous sciatica-cum-pelvic pain and its agony to walk. Think this constitutes my 'I'm ready now, lets get this bubs out' moment!

Good luck with your respective inductions smile, and keep updating!

Boosiehs Thu 22-Aug-13 17:18:38

Well as I'd hoped my BP is entirely normal (even a little low!), so no actual signs of pre-eclampsia at all.

Home again and having a nice sleep on the sofa in front of the cricket. No sign of bubs either, 40 weeks today!

BrieMonster Thu 22-Aug-13 21:27:49

Good thanks James, my wee boy is 6 weeks today, passed his check with flying colours so all good. (Was well and truly on the wronf thread apparently!)
Congratulations Snuffle... busy day for you!

Woodifer Thu 22-Aug-13 21:48:05

sounds good dana

my sweep was 1 finger only, cervix still slightly posterior.

induction provisionally booked for next friday, with meeting on Tuesday about alternative of expectant management.

Last time - the morning I was meant to have the expectant management appointment, I went in to labour (40+11 - she came 40+12), hope same happens this time...

JollyHappyGiant Fri 23-Aug-13 00:18:59

Mine is here!

Rebecca Piper born at 1537 yesterday, 39+0. Weighing in at 8lb 2.

Ditsy79 Fri 23-Aug-13 03:02:57

Congratulations Jolly!

BrieMonster Fri 23-Aug-13 07:00:56

Congratulations and fab name jolly!!

Gonnabmummy Fri 23-Aug-13 09:18:09

39+2 here gosh it seems very final!
Sweep booked for a week today, then discuss induction if still in there!

Going to phone labour ward once dogs wakes up and gets off my lap. Need to discuss there water birth policy as I've had two midwives telling me different. First one was confident in what she was saying and it was the same as NICE guidelines so thought nothing of it. But seen a different one and she says different and I want to know what I can have!

Gerty1002 Fri 23-Aug-13 10:04:59

Congratulations Jolly!

Boosiehs Fri 23-Aug-13 14:28:57

Congratulations jolly!!

Bakingabubba Sat 24-Aug-13 09:39:47

Morning all.

How are my sweep buddies? Hope you're busy having your babies. smile Can't say the same for me. About to have a look in the hospital bag again and make sure that I have enough stuff to account for being induced tomorrow as this baby clearly has no intention of coming out before then. Really thought something might start yesterday as felt sick, didn't want to eat, was more tired than normal, had decent show (but again post sweep...) and then had regular strong BHs for 3 hours every 10 minutes last night. Which promptly stopped when I went to bed. ARGH!!! Why doesn't this baby want to come out?!?

41+4 and feeling very deflated and like I am totally failing at this whole process already. hmm

cakebaby Sat 24-Aug-13 11:45:22

baking not failing, comfy baby, that's all!
I had an exam & mini sweep this morning, baby reacted more strongly than I did! Bit of bleeding now, MW doesn't think anything will happen before I see her next on Thursday. I have induction booked at 40+7 too.

Come on babybakingbubba out before tomorrow!

MrsLianeB Sat 24-Aug-13 11:46:32

Baking we are inducing buddies! No signs of anything after my 3rd sweep yesterday got to be at the hospital for 9.30 so hoping they can get me started and not have me waiting round or even worse send me home! I will be ultra sad if so!

I am getting proper excited as the day goes on can't wait to meet my little one got a big list of what needs doing today. DH going for a haircut and shave (for the piccies!) and I'm getting all the washing done so there shouldn't be a big pile for when we get home!
Good Luck to the rest of you and I will update once little one arrives xx

PeanutSmuggler2013 Sat 24-Aug-13 12:21:34

Nope, second sweep didn't work for me either Baking and MrsB! Had an hour of strong BH this morning but nowt else, so now concentrating on enjoying our last night of 'freedom' before induction tomorrow.

25th August sounds like a Good Day To Give Birth for us - am sure it'll be swift and wonderful for us grin...

Bakingabubba Sat 24-Aug-13 13:50:25

Thanks cakebaby smile am feeling better than earlier after a good cry and some chocolate biscuits

mrsB and peanut we clearly all have babies who want to be born on the bank holiday! 25th is same date (though not month) of my birthday so that would be easy to remember at least (for DH who is useless at dates!) My induction is 2pm tomorrow so may be baby on 26th for me however. We'll see...

I am doing all the washing too (and praying it doesn't rain!). It is quite a strange thought knowing that today is the last day DH and I will be at home together without LO!

Hugs to all x smile

PurpleDana Sat 24-Aug-13 20:13:22

Hi ladies!
Well the sweep worked, baby Poppy Mae born yesterday morning at 10.18am weighing 7lbs 11oz.
Natural birth, just a little gas & air for last hour or so of contractions, midwife wouldn't let me have it while pushing!
Didnt get water birth in end cos by the time they admitted me midwife told my hubby i was too exhausted to go in pool.
Good luck to the rest of u!

Gonnabmummy Sun 25-Aug-13 13:36:09

Congrats purple ! grin see you on postnatal thread when I make it there

39+4 today sweep booked on Friday not sure it'll do much not had a single twinge. Really don't want him to arrive on the sat anyhow so of it does anything hopefully it's slow!

MrsLianeB Tue 27-Aug-13 00:07:43

Henry William arrived at 8.10am bank holiday Monday by forceps delivery little lazy boy ended up being born 40+12 and weighed 8lb 5oz.

Gonnabmummy Tue 27-Aug-13 07:25:09

Congrats lianeB

Due date tomorrow nothing happening here though!
Was on the phone to my nanna last night and found out her wedding anniversary is one week today. My grandfather died 18 years ago I was only 3 she has never been with anyone else. Our LO will have the same name as him, wouldn't it be lovely if he arrived Monday smile fingers crossed

Bakingabubba Tue 27-Aug-13 22:36:33

Hi all

We had a boy!

Our little chap finally arrived on bank holiday Monday at 0048 after induction that started at 2pm on Sunday! It was a roller coaster of a labour (both fast and scary - Alton towers would approve) for several reasons and ended with forceps delivery as he was not in a good position and rather enormous at 9lb 6oz but totally worth every bit of it (including the 13 days past his due date wait) grin

We are both a bit battered and bruised but he is perfect.

Congratulations mrsB on your little chap. Hope he and you are doing well. Good luck everyone still waiting!

Gerty1002 Wed 28-Aug-13 10:59:28

Congratulations bakingabubba! Lovely news smile.

Me next please!

cakebaby Wed 28-Aug-13 11:47:32

mrslb congratulations, I love his names!

baking yeahhhh! Well done you, any names yet?

Gonnabmummy Wed 28-Aug-13 21:41:47

You'll have to beat me to it gerty
Due date today not a twinge sweep booked Friday

Boosiehs Wed 28-Aug-13 22:58:08

41 weeks tomorrow. Not a twinge, turned down the sweep today, kind of hoping bubs arrives on Sunday!

Boosiehs Wed 28-Aug-13 22:58:46

Many many congratulations to the new arrivals!!

Gonnabmummy Fri 30-Aug-13 16:59:49

40+2 today had a midwife app, she managed to get sweep done on 2nd attempt. She said cervix was soft and stretchy which was good but not to expect anything yet 1cm dilated.
Booked back in on 7th for another if I make it that far

PeanutSmuggler2013 Fri 30-Aug-13 18:02:54

It's a girl! Born 16days overdue on 29th.

After a 3 day induction, and two failed epidurals, our peanut was delivered by emergency csec. Well done you ladies who managed it naturally!

Gonnabmummy Fri 30-Aug-13 23:18:26

Nothing all day, went to loo at 7 and everytime I'm wiping there's blood.
Phoned and they told to keep an eye and if it starts going onto a pad call bk but feeling fine smile

LilPeasMama Sat 31-Aug-13 10:23:55

Baby boy born on 25/8 at 15.08 weighing 7.15oz, since then I have been asking what day it is at least 10 times a day grin

Gonnabmummy Sat 31-Aug-13 11:33:30

Congrats lilpeas how far were you?

LilPeasMama Sat 31-Aug-13 13:11:34

Overdue and uncomfortable at 40+5 but a very happy proud mummy now. smile

Gonnabmummy Sun 01-Sep-13 09:21:14

Welcome to September you meant to be August babies!
Who's still waiting?
40+4 but doesn't feel like it, sure ill be here next week..

Gerty1002 Sun 01-Sep-13 09:43:04

I'm still here, still pregnant. 40+2 but feel more like 40+13. Stepdad goes away for work tomorrow so feeling very pressured to pop this baby out today - not at all hopeful.

I think after today, although it will be disappointing for him to miss meeting LO, the pressure will be off a little - until induction is looming ofc.

Sorry you're feeling frustrated gonnabmummy, hope it's not much longer for you.

40+5 today and officially in latent phase after a trip to delivery last night. 2-3cm dilated and had bloody show in the early hours after midwife gave me a sweep while she was down there. Hope I don't still have days to go! Contractions have disappeared though intermittent cervix pain is still excruciating.

Went in for monitoring last night didnt end up getting home til 3:30! I was having rhythmic tightenings/little contractions i didnt know about. But his heat rate was decelerating slightly at the peak of them but she said it wasn't enough to worry. She gave me another really good sweep and said not to hesitate to call if movements reduced again or there's more than a teaspoon of blood.
Woke up at half 8 checked pad quite a bit of blood even more when I wiped. going to have breakfast and call them up.
