Hmm think so as far as I know, if they get really bad or you have bleeding phone your doctors to get yourself checked out? That's what I've read on forumsconfused Is this your first champagne?

alicebear Sun 09-Jun-13 20:09:22

Hello ladies
Liking this new bus & also hoping I won't be kicked off anytime soon!
It's 4 months exactly since my last BFP which ended in MMC at 12 wk scan. Keeping fingers & toes crossed this is a sticky bean.
I might try and get an early scan to reassure - 9wks ish if we get that far.
Not really feeling anything so far but usually I don't before 6wks ish.
Are you ladies expecting DC 1 /2/3... This is hopefully dc2 for us. Have a dd nearly 2.
Hoping for happy healthy pregnancies for all on the bussmile

I'm sorry to hear that Alice, fingers crossed for a sticky bean, I hope we all get sticky beans.
we have a D's who's 19mths, he was breech and then a csection. and I'm in the south east ish. That's me introduced wink

homebyninethirty Sun 09-Jun-13 20:39:47

Hello everyone and congratulations! smile
This is also my first and am also getting the occasional sort of niggly cramp-like pains...Am naturally a bit of a worrier so am trying to keep calm and say no to Google smile
Have you told anyone in real life yet?

bugsyburge Sun 09-Jun-13 20:47:25

hey ladies
this is my first too, not really sure when I'm due because of irregular periods, clear blue days conception was 1-2 weeks ago but last period was around 7 weeks ago so I'm somewhere between 3weeks & 8weeks I think confused

is there a way to find out for def before the 12week scan?

We've not told anyone in RL yet & hope we can keep secret for as long as poss. Difficult though as a few people knew last time & during the mc we said we'd try again sometime so think people will be looking out for signs.
I remember having stretchy/crampy feelings with dd1 - I think it is actually from the uterus starting to stretch. Maybe not so apparent in subsequent pregnancies as everything's already been stretched.
Try not to worry its probably all fine.

I've told a couple of my closest friends who knew I was trying anyway, I haven't told my mum yet as she went away the day after I found out and is away for a few weeks, I thought it would be best to tell her when they got back.

I'm sure if you Google uterus stretching, it will come up with so much about ladies having aches etc.

crikey, don't eat choka block brownie squares and then drink milk. envy

Welcome to the new ladies, sorry I can't see the replies hence I end up doing a few posts.

we avoided an early scan last time, but think I may just have to Google prices, think there's one where there do a peekaboo scan so you can all is there and OK. grin

mrscookie78 Sun 09-Jun-13 22:24:31

I'm a worrier too, and will worry about everything. I think its just normal especially in pregnancy, we think its bad now, wait till we have the babies and the worrying changes to a different type!!

homebyninethirty Mon 10-Jun-13 00:15:15

mrscookie so true about the worrying!

Am doing a masters part time and have some exams coming up soon...how impossible is it to keep off MN when you've got revision to do?! smile

I've only told my best friend so far - she had a baby quite recently so it's great to be able to talk her ear off about it...

alicebear Mon 10-Jun-13 10:17:40

I think mrscookie is right we all worry about every little niggle on pregnancy. It's only natural as we all want our babies out healthy at the end of it. It's probably worse with a first as it's all so unknown. I was a bit more relaxed last time but then it dud go wrong. Trying to just take it a day at a time now.
I have bitten the bullet & bkd a pvt early scan on 12 Jul - if I get that far will be nearly 9 wks. For now just hoping I get to that point & then get to see a heartbeat... Feel a bit better to have that arranged in just over a month.
Hope everyone feeling ok today?

mrscookie78 Mon 10-Jun-13 12:25:15

Good luck with your masters Home

Feel sick still but i guess its all good hmm

Good for you re booking the early scan Alice Im tempted to get a scan early, but for me its just impatience. Will see if oh agrees with me! I dont have my first mw appointment till 16th July, ill be nearly 10 weeks then.

glad the doctor told you it was normal cm grin

mrscookie78 Wed 12-Jun-13 13:18:58

I have the midwife on Tuesday 16th July, don't have to see the doctor first.

I know that feeling, im still peeing on my Internet cheapies wink I felt this way last time, its like you have made it up especially until you have your first scan grin

Thanks, I found out on the 26th of May, so very early on. I'm exhausted, I've never been so sick and tired! My doctors don't book midwife appointments until your 8 weeks for 10 week booking in so I haven't called yet. I'm trying to stop myself from getting early scans etc and just be patient.

I'm quite scared after last time but also feeling quite positive for this one.

Missycheese Wed 12-Jun-13 15:40:15

WHOOHOOOOOO to our BFP's - celebrating 6 weeks today, hurrah and roll on Feb!!

Ouch my BOOBS !

sorry to hear that id, fingers crossed and hope everything goes well for this pregnancy smile

mrscookie78 Thu 13-Jun-13 05:08:20

thanks champagne, ived used so many due date calculators.

I found a great link yesterday on how to work out your due date. Add 7 days to your lmp and take away 3 months and ta dah you have your date grin

mrscookie78 Thu 13-Jun-13 12:06:33

Ok its official I now have a cold and feel pants. Im not surprised as dh and ds have just had one. Hows everyone feeling today.

I saw a friend this am and were chatting about this pregnancy, I said I feel like im making it up. She agreed, you do feel like this until your first scan. grin

FloJo151 Thu 13-Jun-13 16:33:37

hi everyone have joined the feb bus but would like to join here too. was on the june bus (and a few of the other buses!!)
I think due date is 16th feb and am about 4 weeks according to lmp but my cycles are only 25/6 days)
only symptoms so far are sore boobs, no show AF, very slight nausea every now and again and feeling tired.
this will be dc3 for us.
we had a cp/early mc last aug so am feeling quite apprehensive this time. have run out of preg tests so am going to use up the cheapy ovu tests I bought but never got round to using! have got 1 more cbd to use next wk to check conception time has moved on from 1-2 weeks.

am trying to hold off telling anyone but am going away with family and friends this wkend so im sure my mum will guess!!

Beautytobe Thu 13-Jun-13 18:08:08

Hi guys got my bfp yest but I have had some brown spotting I know they say its normal but am scared have any of u had spotting?

alicebear Thu 13-Jun-13 19:32:42

Beauty spotting can be a normal thing - it's hard to know. Try not to worry but maybe worth speaking to your gp or midwife if you have sorted one out yet? Perhaps not as it's so early. It may just be the embryo bedding in causing a little bleed.
Flo I think we have the same due date although I think my scan will put me back a few days as I ov late. This will be dc2 for us - hopefully! Also wanting to keep it quiet until ideally 12 wks...

mrscookie78 Fri 14-Jun-13 07:23:32

Congratulations Beauty and Flo, how are you today Beauty? Brown blood is suppose to be OK from what I have read as its old but yes call and make a doctors appointment to get checked out if your concerned?

LovesToBake Sat 15-Jun-13 06:18:19

Can I hop aboard? Just got my BFP this morning (first month of TTC #2) so due around 20th Feb. I had been experiencing lots of symptoms so felt pretty strongly that I was pregnant, just feeling grateful my body wasn't tricking me. Feel like I want to tell the world, shame I have to wait another 8 weeks for that...

Beautytobe Sat 15-Jun-13 08:42:19

Spotting stopped only had one little brown mark and had nothing since. Booked my docs but have been poas as like all u guys I just can't believe it! Prob going to ask for an early scan as my mum has a high risk of miscarriage and as this is my first time ever and very nervous. I can't believe it's real tho am so bloated and have terrible wind haha tmi! Got my first feeling I may throw up today am so not looking forward to that! We have told our family but not telling anyone till am confident everything is ok x

congratulations loves smile

ive Googled everything so far, I wouldn't worry champagne. My symptoms seemed to of died down now, so ive Googled that a lot. I did poas yesterday am and was very dark so im not tio worried. I'm tempted with a scan but they are around £100 round here and its a lot of money. I completely understand for others to have scans, it feels forever in the early days till your 12 weeks.

I have noticed I don't like my tummy being leaned by anyone grin

jazzcat28 Sat 15-Jun-13 21:44:53

Hi ladies I got my BFP today - was briefly on the magical June bus, can I join you lot?

Test says I'm 1-2 weeks post conception wh

jazzcat28 Sat 15-Jun-13 21:48:53

Gah stupid phone

..which fits with when I got my positive opk and shagged a lot

Would the doctor date me as 2 weeks or 4 weeks (from 1st day of last AF)? Also when should I phone the doctors and do I ask for a doctor appt or midwife? <clueless first timer>

Symptoms so far just crazy vivid dreams, bruised heavy feeling in boobs, bloated tummy and what can only be described as strange crampy sensations!

DH and I in a bit of a daze tonight, not sure we can keep it to ourselves until 12wks!

mrscookie78 Sat 15-Jun-13 23:49:09

Pregnancy is always worrying, the whole way through. Just try to relax and not stress, its good to share your worries and you will hopefully feel better once you find out other ladies are going through the same worries and aches etc.

congratulations jazz grin welcome to us over here with our bfp's.

The doctor counts you as four weeks or when your last period was. Just ring up your surgery and tell them your pregnant and what happens now? At my old surgery you had to see the doctor first but at this one ive got the midwife first, not till middle of July and it feels like ages away smile

LovesToBake Sun 16-Jun-13 09:28:06

Congratulations Jazzcat. Dates wise, you should count from the day your last AF started - that's what the doctor's surgery will ask you for when you ring up. With my first DC, I remember ringing up all excited the day after I POAS and was quite disappointed that all they did was schedule my booking in appointment with the midwife for when I was about 10 weeks. Then at that appointment they take lots of details, get you on the system and put you down for a 12 week scan.

Having got my BFP yesterday, I'm still excited about ringing the doctor's tomorrow to book my booking in appointment even if it won't be for weeks - at least it will be something in the diary to look forward to!

jazzcat28 Sun 16-Jun-13 09:33:12

Thanks mrscookie and lovestobake. My last AF started 15th May so that means I'm 5 weeks on Wednesday - crazy!

Have a very busy day at work tomorrow and will have to find time to sneak away from everyone to phone the doctor surgery.

Excited!

Is anyone taking any particular vitamins? I'm taking Boots folic acid + vitamin D at the moment, wondered whether it's worth upgrading to pregnacare or similar?

Put the sticks down champagne grin I think your dh might be right. Hate to say it but if you Google those digital sticks you will find a small percentage that find that they have the same problem. Did you use ur first wee of the day? Try not to worry over the stick, as im sure everyines hcg levels are different? just keep an eye on your symptoms and see how you get on. Maybe pose the question in the pregnancy thread and see what everyone is going through. I have felt symptoms today but today is the first day in a few days, they can come and go. I think maybe give it two days and either poas again or go back to the doctors. its easy for me to say don't worry but we all do to be honest.

mrscookie78 Sun 16-Jun-13 18:34:04

You been poas on Internet cheapies? I have very dark lines as the ink goes across on mine! I think im 5 + 1 today so not far behind you.

How did you do getting up this am?

Congratulations cuba, of course you can join us. How you feeling?

How is everyone else today? Nice weekends? smile

Beautytobe Mon 17-Jun-13 18:21:44

I am on hr 15 of an 18hr day! Pooped isn't the work and talking about poop I can't! So constipated it hurts! Got the docs tomo can't wait for someone else to bk up the fact we r pregnant! No spotting any more no cramps bar the constipation ones but am so tired and hungry all the time until its actually time for bed then I can't sleep and am up at the break of dawn! Boobs are so sore am a tummy sleeper and sore boobs don't make a happy combo! How's everyone today?!

mrscookie78 Mon 17-Jun-13 19:54:29

Ouch that sounds harsh, is that everyday Beauty?
aww it does feel like we have made it up, good luck tomorrow at the doctors. I have felt under the weather and a bit nauseated today envy

mrscookie78 Mon 17-Jun-13 19:56:53

Constipation sucks, I had it a little bit before I found out I was pregnant and did think it was a bit odd that it was nearly all week. See if the doctor can give you lactulose to help, just make sure you adjust the measures slowly to work out what is good for you grin

CubanoHabana Mon 17-Jun-13 20:35:44

jazzcat28 Tue 18-Jun-13 10:05:38

Almost had an embarrassing slip up at work today. I've downloaded an app which tells me how my pregnancy is progressing weekly - it flashed up on my phone today 'your baby is 5 weeks old!' Thankfully it was face down on my desk and I caught it (and have changed the settings) but it could have been a bit of a slip up if it had happened in a meeting!

Bit of constipation but not sure if that is baby-related or just poor diet the past couple of days..

No faintness or nausea yet - presume this will kick in around 6-8 weeks though..

mrscookie78 Tue 18-Jun-13 12:05:06

I caved and went to the doctors, have had few pains in the place where i had pains when i was pregnant before and some kidney area aches. Have to give them a sample and she worked out im just over 6 weeks! Yay and have now brought forward my midwife appointment to two weeks today!

Yes the scan will be just above your pant area, so make you have decent pants on, you undo your jeans/trousers and they give you some of that doctors modesty paper towels? From what i can remember from my 12 week scan at the hospital!

At 6 weeks they should be able to see something, whether it is just the yolk or sac. smile

Ha ha to you Jazz, well spotted!!

mrscookie78 Tue 18-Jun-13 12:08:22

Ok i was wrong, yep internal at this stage! blush

Beautytobe Tue 18-Jun-13 14:34:31

Docs went well got the stuff u mentioned but have not used it yet. As I was able to finally go today. Is anyone else worried about miscarriage or they were on there first. It's my first and because I don't feel pregnant and am a worrier any way!
Am 5 weeks they recon and have to wait 7 weeks for a scan! It's going to go so slow! X

mrscookie78 Tue 18-Jun-13 22:38:45

Its normal to worry over mc Beauty whether its your first, second or third? I did first time round and am again, every slight bit of cm I get I nip to the toilet to check my cm hmm
I'm a worrier too, always need something to worry about. I'm afraid that once you get your bfp you never stop worrying over something. wink

blimey I don't remember 'morning' sickness kicking in this fast. I should be only about 5 weeks but I feel icky this afternoon, very nauseous and the sore throat I woke up with is not helping. Am sure I was further along when I started feeling rough with the other 2. although I don't actually remember being that bad with ds2, was bad with ds1 but that was exasperated by bad jet lag.
am prob gonna have to start telling people sooner rather than later!

alicebear Thu 20-Jun-13 18:16:04

I'm not feeling much other than sore & rapidly expanding boobs!
Been feeling a bit worried so have bkd an extra early scan for Wed. If I feel more relaxed by Mon I will cancel it but I just feel like I need reassurance all is ok so far. Hope to report back with positive news next wk - unless I change my mind.

Hi, is it ok if I join in? I found out yesterday I am pregnant with #2 after a missed miscarriage in March. it's still very early days, only about 4 weeks and I am a nervous wreck already and could do with somewhere to vent and help keep me sane as we're not planning on telling anyone just yet.

I'll go back and read the rest of the posts now and hopefully catch up with everything so I can join in and chat?

Oh and congratulations to everyone on their bfp flowers

mrscookie78 Fri 21-Jun-13 08:52:25

Oh no Flojo, i feel really sick too if that helps? smile normally from about 5 minutes after i wake up!

You need to do what you feel is right for you Alice tbh, it must be hard for you. Just try not to stress!!

Welcome notsosuper and congratulations, sorry to hear about your mc, hope you have a sticky bean this time and feel ok!

I'm ok when i'm eating so i eat most of the day but it comes back as soon as i stop eating, very weird and yuck!

FloJo151 Fri 21-Jun-13 09:18:45

mornings aren't quite so bad but yesterday avo and eve if I so much as moved I felt as if I was going to throw up. feeling a little rough today but am sure that will ramp up as the day goes on.
glad everything was ok at your scan champagne. still debating wether we can afford an early scan.

alicebear Fri 21-Jun-13 18:16:12

Weird but I'm feeling more positive today & after a bit of googling have cancelled next wk scan.
Think 6 wks can sometimes be a bit early to be sure how things are going & I think any uncertainty would make me fret even more. So taking the ignorance I'd bliss approach & counting down the next 3 wks to my 8.5 wk scan.

Hope people not feeling too sick. My sickness in past pgs has been 6-9 wks so could be round the corner. Whilst it's horrible it is reassuring too. So hoping to feel rotten soon! Have gd weekends everyone.

Hope you're feeling better champagne? Take heart in the fact that feeling awful is a very good sign that all is going well.

I feel pretty okay which is nice but kind of wish I felt worse for reassurance.

My positivity faded a bit so I'm going for a scan on wed. Will be 7+ wks so should be able to see HB.

How are others feeling? The 2ww goes slow but isn't early pregnancy even slower??

Champagne with my 1st pregnancy I felt sick 6-9 wks. So hopefully not too long before you start to feel better. The only thing that helped me is eating - felt so much worse if hungry.
Sorry you're suffering. Take it easy over the weekend. How are others doing?

Hello peeps and congrats to you all!! Do you mind if I join and share? I'm 9 weeks on Sunday with number 2 and terrified! I lost a baby at 20 weeks due to turner's syndrome when I was 21 after 8 weeks of constant scans monitoring my baby's progress. I then got pregnant straight away with ds and was a wreck the whole way through. He has Aspergers and doesn't really sleep, although he is the most awesome kid in the whole world! It has still taken me until he is 10 to bring myself to try for another after about 15 month pregnancy last time! This is dh's first child and he is over the moon. I wish I could feel it too but instead I'm terrified of the same thing happening again. Caught between not wanting a scan at all so I don't have to do the wait and monitoring if something is wrong and desperately wanting the reassurance.
Champagne, I totally relate to the limbo sensation. Think dh thinks I'm crazy to get so upset over no posh cheese or Prosecco! Hope you feel better soon x

apprenticemamma Fri 28-Jun-13 21:22:10

Evening all (looks shyly around)...How are you getting on? I have just found out today we are expecting no. 2 in I think late Feb or start march. I am in a total state of shock (smelling salts anyone?!) excitement and um fear! I've had implantation bleeding going on so i had already decided I was out of the game and it was af... smile smile

missthebubbles Sat 29-Jun-13 08:56:50

How exciting apprenticemama! I had an implantation bleed this time as well which I've never had before. It's so true what they ssy about every pregnancy being different.

apprenticemamma Sat 29-Jun-13 09:13:55

woke up this morning with major nausea and fear!! worrying about how we will manage a second emotionally and financially childcare. dh is 47 and he already has 3 others aged 16, 19, 22 on top of the 2.2 yr old. It was my idea to try for a second more than his and I thought he was a bit quiet last night. apart from our slightly different family set up I am already dreading sleepless nights. in amongst it all I'm excited I'm sorry if sound negative but just wondered if anyone else has felt like this. x

missthebubbles Sat 29-Jun-13 09:28:24

Sharing your fear and sorry you're feeling sick already. I've not been to bad with nausea this time but struggling with exhaustion and hayfever. I am away foing fieldwork right now that starts at 7:00 and ends at 22:30 every day. I usually take beconase at this time of year but can't because it has steroids so am a snotty mess just now! Love my job but this time can't wait to get home and have a takeaway delivery followed by a long sleep in my own bed smile

apprenticemamma Sat 29-Jun-13 11:12:45

I think the nausea is fear related. I'm sure this is normal though ...I had the fear last time too. Had a good chat with dh and mum. dh excited just getting his head round a dc5 I guesswink . v v surreal. mum remembered the exact same thing with each of her 3 pregnancies. In amongst all this going on holiday in a week lots to organise and major house rewire whilst away! eeeeeeeek

mrscookie78 Sun 30-Jun-13 17:11:29

congratulations apprentice and miss the bubbles. The nausea had been really bad so I bought sickness bands and I feel so much better than before, have been able to do stuff rather than lay on the sofa.

How's everyone else? Good weekend's? grin

Not feeling too hopeful here. I've had some light bleeding over the weekend. Spoke to the on call gp & have got scan bkd at epu tomorrow. Fearing the worst as it's very similar to how my last mc started...
Glad to hear some of you feeling better.

mrscookie78 Sun 30-Jun-13 19:26:31

oh no Alice, fingers crossed that its nothing to worry about this time and not another mc. good luck tomorrow and hope all is ok x

bugsyburge Mon 01-Jul-13 12:46:46

morning all,

how's everyone today? I'm not feeling too bad although the tiredness is driving me crackers.... I feel like I need a sit down after I do anything envy

booking in appt tomorrow, I can't wait to get a scan date smile

lumpylumps Mon 01-Jul-13 19:44:41

evening ladies, please can I hop on??? BFP today after a negative 3 weeks ago. according to my dates I'm 8 weeks!!! and very much in shock. I only decided last week that I wanted another baby. Spoke to DH on friday so we were just in the discussion stages. It would appear the decision has been taken out of our hands. I already have 2 ds ages 3 and 5 next month.

I'm freaking out big time about the practicalities of a 3rd but also because I haven't been taking any folic acid or taking care of myself!

missthebubbles Fri 05-Jul-13 22:43:45

How was the midwife mrscookie? Hope you're feeling a bit less sick. I have my first scan on Monday! :-O Keeping fingers crossed all is okay.....

mrscookie78 Sat 06-Jul-13 18:38:24

Yes mw went fine cheers, lots of questions, blood taken and a load of leaflets and little books to read through. yes sickness seems slightly better at the moment thank god but im eating ginger biscuits I can't decide if they are working or its coincidence? How's everyone else in this heat, feeling quite hot today but nearly ds bedtime yay. grin

mrscookie78 Sat 06-Jul-13 18:39:04

thats great missthebubbles, is that your 12 week one?

missthebubbles Sun 07-Jul-13 07:25:28

10 weeks but because I've been so worried they are giving me a scan to calm down!
The heat is driving me nuts at night but otherwise it's lovely smile I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. Nausea hasn't been too bad for me this time thankfully. Tiredness, feeling out of breath even when lying down and really sore boobs are the things telling me I'm preggo with this one.
