I am here smile ... Thanks Falcon

roofio87 Mon 18-Feb-13 10:56:16

I'm here!! may all the excessive chatting continue!!grin

mouseymummy Mon 18-Feb-13 10:56:51

I'm here!! Pg again!! I have a 4 month old so it was a bit of a shock!

Marking my place! 8 weeks tomorrow! X

cazboldy Mon 18-Feb-13 11:00:29

wow mousey! congrats!! grin

My last two were 15 months apart - the first year (while both were babies) was tiring, but they are now 7 and 5 (nearly 6) and they are really close.

I am feeling very queasy today,

finding drinking enough very tough, but am thirsty. Everything tastes horrible when i swallow and then i can kind of feel it sloshing in my stomach sorry if tmi!

never felt like this with any of the others, even when very sick (with both dd's) never found drinking a problem.

doctors tomorrow morning!

Thanks Falcon here's to more chatting over too little symptoms v too many symptoms! smile

mouseymummy Mon 18-Feb-13 11:07:30

There is an 8 yr age gap between my dd's so 2 so young is going to be a massive learning curve!!

I can't get my first mw appt til the 6th of march, which isn't great but I know the mw is only at the doctors once a week and there's quite a few people pg near me atm!

I've had the same sloshing feeling before, my doc said it might be trapped wind and then with the water on top, it sloshes around... I found a can of fizzy drink helped me.

So far on the morning sickness front I've been very lucky, with dd2 I was sick nearly every day until 20 weeks... I realise you all hate me now grin

Umlauf Mon 18-Feb-13 11:07:54

I'm here too! Can't as as an iPad but if somebody moves the stats can they also take the (on Sunday) part out of mine as that was two Sundays ago and I am now 26!

Am resolved top telling colleagues today (only have 2) as fed up of them thinking I am pathetically sickly for no good reason!

No worries smile

Wow mouseymummy welcome they will be lovely and close!

I decided to do what the books say I had dry toast and a banana before getting up feeling ok so far shock

roofio87 Mon 18-Feb-13 11:20:04

btw is everyone else as crazy as me and already talk to their baby?! I talk to mine everyday reminding them how much they're wanted and to stick in there!! Haha. I've done it every day since it was conceived (as it only took 1 month for us!!) which I felt very stupid about at first but now I'm glad I did!!
I think I must seem a little insane to be talking to a blueberry sized embryo, anyone else?!?!

mouseymummy Mon 18-Feb-13 11:27:19

Roofio, I did that the other night while I was in the shower... I was telling peanut to develop boy bits as daddy really wants a boy... Too many women in our house apparently!!

cuillereasoupe Mon 18-Feb-13 11:27:27

Hello everyone, I'm due #1 on 20th October. Very excited!

Umlauf Mon 18-Feb-13 11:28:41

No... Lol! But I do speak about it all the time at home! As not many people know I have to talk about it to make it seem real, DH is getting very bored! Baby is now called tinyface but already has their girl and boy name sorted!

8 weeks today and I feel like I've passed a little milestone! Sooo long to wait until scan though :-(

I also really want the November bus to hurry up and be created so we aren't at the end anymore!

walnut300 Mon 18-Feb-13 11:28:47

I'm jumping on the bus... found out I am pregnant again after a MC only 6 weeks ago. due 16th October. hoping and praying this time everything is ok.

cuillereasoupe Mon 18-Feb-13 11:30:32

Oh BTW I'm 38.

pinkbuttons Mon 18-Feb-13 11:30:38

Hi all, wow you've been chatty this morning, just checking in to the lovely new thread.
Still sick here and only 7 weeks tomorrow, DH away all week with work so am trying to look on the positive side that Ill be able to go to bed every night at 7 not at the awful Ill have no help with DS or the house all week and feel rubbish. Oh well by the time he gets back we will be nearly 8 weeks which sounds alot more than 7 for some reason...

roofio Im not at that point yet, feel like everything is very different this time round and apart from being sick, being pregnant isnt taking up as much of my mind as when I was pregnant with DS, maybe its just that Im so busy with him at the moment I dont get chance to think. Still dont think your insane though smile

Hi to everyone whos new, we must be getting to due dates at the end of October now, wonder who will be having a Halloween baby.

Wickedgirl Mon 18-Feb-13 11:34:24

Today is week 6 for me. It's all very exciting. My youngest will be 9 when this one comes along and e erythema we go shopping, he wants to buy something for the baby.

I don't want to buy anything until after the 12 week scan though just in case. With my other 3 pregnancies, I bought pink and blue to take into hospital so that the baby's first photos would be the right colour. That isn't mad is it? I will do the same this time too. I haven't seen any really cute blue and pink first babygrows yet though.

I think 8 weeks will be my little milestone too umluf im still in nervous nelly land at the moment but im 8 weeks on friday every week that passes I feel more confident smile my scan is not until march 26th feels so far away too!

Wickedgirl Mon 18-Feb-13 11:37:14

Pink buttons..........my 12 year old was due on Halloween but came 9 days early (still weighed an impressive 9lb 13oz!)

mouseymummy Mon 18-Feb-13 11:40:37

Forgot to say I'm 6 wk exactly today and I'm 28!

Still shocked I'm pg again!

Walnut, congratulations on your news! Is there any chance you could get an extra scan around 8 weeks!! Might be worth speaking to your mw or even looking into a private scan, if it's an option. Fx everything works out for you though!!

I've just realised I've got to tell everyone I'm pg... Oh shit.... Any inventive ways to tell people?? I don't really fancy telling mydad so might get dh to do that one!!

cherrycherry41 Mon 18-Feb-13 11:43:26

mouseymummy! me too! dd was born last oct!
can someone add me plz? edd 7th oct (dd 4.5 months) x

Wickedgirl Mon 18-Feb-13 11:56:49

Mousey........wait until 1st April (12weeks exactly) and then tell everyone. They won't know if you're being serious or if its just an April fools joke

juniper904 Mon 18-Feb-13 11:59:51

I passed my 8 weeks milepost and felt all happy about it (apparently there's a 98.5% chance of it carrying if you make 8 weeks) then went for a scan and found out I'm now 7+4 so back below that magical threshold I was holding onto!

I'm due on 23rd sept according to LMC or 3rd Oct according to private early scan. Going to go to the walk in early pregnancy clinic on Wednesday to see which dates are right.

I'm dancing between September and October groups at present- being greedy!

pinkmoonlight Mon 18-Feb-13 12:03:40

Wow, there's so many of us! I have been talking to 'bubs' for the 3 days that I've known about their existence roofio!
Can I be added too please?

Pinkmoonlight, 26, EDD 25th oct, 0DC

CelticPromise Mon 18-Feb-13 12:07:47

Just marking my place on the new thread. Feel rubbish today, but I don't think it's anything to do with pregnancy! Just a cold.

Sal1977 Mon 18-Feb-13 12:12:21

So after a bit of spotting on Saturday PM and the tiniest bit of brown discharge yesterday (sorry pretty grim - although chances are these types of details are to become more common as the weeks progress on this thread haha), I went in to see the lovely lady doctor this morning.

She was preggers herself and was great at reassuring me that it was fairly common and to try not to worry. As I am over 6 weeks she's booked me in for an early scan on Thursday to see if its a duffer or if its ok. Either way, it would be good to know sooner rather than later.

In my mind it was game over on Saturday and I did my crying and was planning new 'project TTC baby'. Now it seems I could be back in the game and the uncertainty is a killer!! At least if you know it's a duffer, you can get on with dealing with it or if its a goodun, spend the next few weeks still on knickerwatch!!

Oh well, we'll know on Thursday I guess!! Xx

Sal1977 Mon 18-Feb-13 12:14:35

Forgot to add that I was so convinced it was a done deal and the bean was no more, that I even went and had a tidy up 'down below' in anticipation of some kind of examination at the doctors/hospital!! Christ! The crap you think of under stress!!!!

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 12:28:20

Marking place, 6 weeks today :-)

roxvox Mon 18-Feb-13 12:29:46

Just a quick question (sorry, am in a rush so not replying to anyone!) am I ok to eat smoked salmon? It's only a little bit on some sushi rice that I bought half an hour ago (am yet to eat) and now I am concerned that I maybe shouldn't be eating smoked salmon because it's not cooked! Any thoughts please?

Hello all - I don't come on for a few days and you fill up a thread! Hello to all new posters, glad to see numbers going up! There will be a november thread soon, scary!

I'm having a bit of a skive today - have a bit of a cold, and DS has decided he no longer wants to sleep, so called in sick this morning. Feel a bit guilty, but need a rest and have a really busy few weeks travelling coming up, so thought sod it!

8 weeks tomorrow - found out OH has told his mum, sister and work mates without me knowing, and we told another friend yesterday, so we have basically completely failed to keep this a secret - the only people who don't know are my work, oh well!

Sucumbed to my old maternity bra today - bliss!

walnut300 Mon 18-Feb-13 12:49:00

thanks mouseymoo. I live in thailand so already had a scan and got another one due in two weeks when I wil be just under 8weeks. just want to see that it has grown and then I can relax (a little!) smile

roxvox, smoked salmon is on the no list, so depends on your attitude to risk grin ( personally I would eat it, yum)

walnut300 Mon 18-Feb-13 12:54:44

sorry mouseymummy not mouseymoo!!! shock shock

moonblues Mon 18-Feb-13 12:55:11

Hey roxvox I had some smoked salmon yesterday after MIL had made me lunch. I checked on the NHS site and it said in the UK it's such low risk that they don't advise women to avoid it anymore. Which is weird as when I was pregnant last time they did!

moonblues Mon 18-Feb-13 13:02:51

Went to the GP this morning & it was nice to have someone say congratulations! Was planning to wait until after the scan to tell people, but she said it might not be til 16 weeks and not sure I can wait that long as I will be seeing lots of my family at the end of April and they will definitely notice if I'm not drinking! Should get a midwife appt around 12 weeks, so could maybe tell people then I guess...
5+6 today. Have been a bit nervous about adding myself to the list. Think it's going to be a slow first trimester...

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 13:21:40

Why a can so late moonblues where are you in the world?

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 13:22:36

mouseymummy Mon 18-Feb-13 13:23:54

The idea to announce it on April fool's sounds like a dam good plan!!

Just giving baby some tummy time before her bottle! I'd like her to be up and about before baby comes.

I'm surprised my dh hasn't announced the pg yet... He may have well put a picture of the positive test on tv last time!!

Sal, when I was pg with dd2 I had a small bleed too, I was sure I'd lost her!! Stress does funny things to your brain, just ask dh who spent 10 mins searching tge house for his keys, they were in his hand!! I couldn't tell him as it was too funny!!

We told everyone straight away smile i have had a loss before and it was horrid but made worse by feeling alone so this time everyone gets to know smile my theory is the more people sending positive vibes the better seems to be working so far and i get to bore people with my gripes grin

roxvox Mon 18-Feb-13 13:44:08

Thanks guys for your input! Sorry to be asking so many questions today... I had a bite of the salmon and threw the rest away (there was only two bites worth on there), so I figured I halved my chances of catching something grin

I like the idea of telling people on April fools day! DH and I are visiting family that weekend and are hoping that (all being well) we will be able to tell them all as we'll have passed the 12 week point (just). Hoping we'll be able to get a scan a couple of days before, but if not then we'll pay to get one done privately. We should be picking up our wedding album that weekend so DH is hoping to put the ultrasound scan pic in the back of the album so when his parents get to the end they'll see the scan smile My family all wear the same slippers (made by a local company), they also make baby ones so I am intending to buy a very small pair of those and ask my mum and dad to 'look after them for me'... Can't wait. Seems so far away!

How are you guys who have MS coping with keeping it a secret from your work? Or have you just told them?

Thanks again for your help this morning ladies, and welcome/congratulations to the newbies, and sorry as well for the long message!

HotSoupDumpling Mon 18-Feb-13 14:11:17

Sal - glad the doctor gave you some reassurance and that you've got an early scan. Hope it goes well for you.

April Fools' Day idea is _brilliant-. Am bursting to tell people early, specially my best friend, just to see the look on his face. The only thing that is holding me back is the risk of miscarriage. I don't think I would mind people knowing about a miscarriage, but that would mean they would guess we were TTCing in the months afterwards... the expectation and pressure would be far too much.

roxvox, great idea re wedding album! Has anyone else got any good ideas of fun ways to break the news? And what's a good way to break the news sensitively to people who might be TTC-ing?

moonblues Mon 18-Feb-13 14:15:52

I'm in Scotland Hayle. With my other 2, I had a 12 week and a detailed 20 week scan. My GP thinks they're now combining them and doing a detailed 16 week scan. Have to wait for an appt in the post, so I hope she's mistaken...

moonblues Mon 18-Feb-13 14:24:46

roxvox that's a lovely idea about the wedding album. I'm really looking forward to telling my family smile. I saw my mum last week and found it so hard not to tell her, but last time I told her early and swore her to secrecy, she only lasted 3 hours grin. I'm dreading telling work as I've only recently started a new job and they will not be pleased sad

walnut300 Mon 18-Feb-13 14:26:54

april fools day is my birthday so would do definitely be a good dau to share the news with my family! smile

cazboldy Mon 18-Feb-13 14:28:34

my family are the only people i'm NOT looking forward to telling!!

might not bother, and wait for them to guess! lol

EuroShagmore Mon 18-Feb-13 15:07:54

Hotsoup as someone who ttc'd for over 2 years before getting a BFP, I can say that there is no easy way to hear that someone around you is pregnant when you are in the middle of struggling with infertility. Good on you for thinking of them though. My suggestion would be to tell anyone you suspect might be struggling one on one, either in person (if a close friend) or over email, so they have time to digest it before they have to plaster on a happy face. The worst thing to do is to announce it in a group of friends or family so that they have to make a great big fuss of congratulating you publicly when they are happy for you of course, but are dying inside themselves and choking back the tears. I physically felt like I had been kicked in the stomach with some announcements. It is horrible, so it is great that you are sensitive to this.

xuntitledx Mon 18-Feb-13 15:31:46

I'm still on the bus! Think we have a bad driver though as I've been feeling very sick this morning, lol.

roofio - I ask my hubby to speak to the bean every night so he can kiss it too smile

roofio87 Mon 18-Feb-13 15:53:49

glad to hear I'm not the only loopy one talking to their bean.
yeah I've had a good long think about if there is anyone I need to tell the good news to sensitively. the only person I can think of is a collegue of mine who had an ectopic pg last year. have agreed that my boss will tell her as they're close and will give her time to digest before she sees me!!

Soupqueen Mon 18-Feb-13 16:42:48

sal, hope the scan gives you reassurance.

moonblues, I'm in Scotland and definitely getting a 12 (and a bit) week scan.

Got my appointments through today - booking in 7 March and scan 3 April. I'd hoped for the week before as DH and I had wanted an April Fools announcement. Waiting until April also seems like so much longer - even though it's just a few days. Exciting though!

candr Mon 18-Feb-13 16:52:41

Goodness, had forgotton how many things you had to be careful of when pg. Boo to all the morning sickness, am so hoping I don't get it as bad as last time. Can I be added to your list please? I am 34, have DS17m and EDD is 26Oct.
Think we will tell family at mothers day lunch as sister and MIL will be there. Think sister will be pleased I will only be 4months at her wedding as don't want to take attention away from the bride (or be a huge bridesamid though will be at the stage of 'is she a bit fat or is she pg' stage)
Has anyone else got the new scan machines at their hospitle? my friend was at Reading and they had just got them, apparently the picture and detail is so much clearer than the older machines.

Sephy Mon 18-Feb-13 16:53:20

At the GP this morning he didn't give me any information about a booking in appointment or a scan or anything... But then I have got to go and see an obstetrician (got kidney problems) so that might be why ?

Also I had to ask for the form for free prescriptions, it wasn't offered. Has anyone else got it or am I just being tight to demand it when u haven't yet even had a pregnancy prescription!

Soupqueen Mon 18-Feb-13 17:12:36

sephy, I got my booking and scan dates through the post - a week after seeing my GP. We don't pay prescription fees in Scotland, so can't help on that one.

roxvox Mon 18-Feb-13 17:27:10

sephy I didn't get anything either. The Dr even gave me a prescription for my pregnancy induced headaches, but no free prescription form! He told me to ask for a MW appointment on the way out and the lady at reception calculated it for when I am 7+1 (Wednesday). I thought I might have my blood taken, or my blood pressure checked or something, but I got nothing! It was frustrating at the time but now I just can't wait until Wednesday! I hope I can get a "everything is going well" confirmations from the MW.

roxvox Mon 18-Feb-13 17:28:55

Oh, and I haven't had any dates sent through for the first scan. I am hoping that the MW will arrange all of that for me on Wed. Like I said in an earlier post, if they can't do a scan in my 12th week (after which we are hoping to tell family) then we'll be looking to get a private scan that week.

HotSoupDumpling Mon 18-Feb-13 17:31:37

Sephy - you're not being tight at all - I wasn't offered the MatEx paperwork (I think that's what it's called) and am calling the GP surgery this week to request it! You also need it to claim free dental work.

I think SoupQueen is right, you'll probably get the dates separately through the post, that's what happened to us. My GP didn't mention booking/scan stuff at all (apart from to wave his hand airily at a question about c-sections, saying 'oh, ask the midwife at your booking appointment' humph) until we specifically asked him.

P.S. Hello SoupQueen! I feel like we're nickname relatives.

roofio87 Mon 18-Feb-13 17:39:57

I didn't get offered an exemption form either, but I have a medical one so I didn't push for it either!! will ask midwife at booking in though for free dental!!

Sal1977 Mon 18-Feb-13 17:49:27

I had to get a prescription on Thursday and when I handed it in, said to the girl at the counter that I'm preggers but don't have a certificate yet, she said that it was fine and to tick it any way and that I might get a letter requesting a copy in the post but might not. Didn't have to pay for the stuff so happy days!!

Iheartcrunchiebars Mon 18-Feb-13 17:54:01

Oooh a shiney new thread!

I talk to my bump all the time mainly trying to convince it to stay put!

First doctors appointment. I'm so excited!
I've got this really strong feeling its twins. Anyone else?

Rockchick1984 Mon 18-Feb-13 17:55:30

Hi all! Re telling people, I try to think up something to tell people individually so when I told my shopaholic mum, I said we need to go shopping into the city rather than just town soon, as I want to go pram shopping! Took her a minute to realise what I was on about!! My dad usually takes me, DH and DS away in December so I told him we wouldn't be able to go this year as there wouldn't be room in the car for DS's camp bed and a travel cot smile People I'm not that close to I'll probably just put a scan pic on Facebook, last time I left it til the 20 week scan though rather than 12 week.

MrsExcited Mon 18-Feb-13 18:35:25

Blimey you lot have had a busy day haven't you!! 3 Pages already!

Well feeling okish(the smell of everything is still getting me!) today, back at work after half term so shattered

A friends at work had to go home today as his wife (who was only one day less preggers than me) was bleeding heavily thinking it was an mc, that was scary!!

So frustrated at the fact there is nothing i can do to keep baby-bump, nothing i can do if things go wrong - missing being in control!!!

Having had my booking in appt on Friday, really civilized in my living room! the next thing to get organized is the scan, i have to ring when i a 8 weeks - is there any harm in me ringing just before - 8weeks is on a Sunday!!
also got my appointment with the obstetrician at 14 weeks, so need to have been scanned by then - only seeing him due to having had a gastric band fitted 7 years ago, need to ensure it will behave itself!

It all feels go go go!

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 19:00:37

Anyone actually thrown up yet? If not then I win. Erugh it's started. Really dnt fancy a hospital admission this time and really can't have any time off work. Not financially they just need me. Hence my overtime!

Serious question... I was prescribed cyclizine when I was admitted last April due to HG. I still have some... Can I take it? I am 6 weeks today. I was 7+4 when I had it prescribed. I'm fine with taking it, desperate in fact but my mum is concerned its top early in the pregnancy. What are your th

Topslou Mon 18-Feb-13 19:10:09

Wow, can't believe we're on the second thread already. How many more do you think we'll get through before all the EDD and the real things have passed?!?!

So far we've told my mum and one of my best friends. Wasn't going to tell her but she told me she was due on 1st October so then I definitely had to tell her. It's lovely to have her and all you ladies to compare symptoms with. I don't seem to have any of the standard ones but am sharing lots of the others, insomnia, vivid dreams, super strong sense of smell, the constipation followed by the other. Just started to get the swollen sore nipples. Hoping the ms stays away a bit longer as that will be a giveaway as I run from one end of the office to the other to get the toilets!

Off to aqua fit shortly which I love but it doesn't start til 8 so trying not to sit down between now & then or I'll be fast asleep and not going anywhere!

Bronzemoth Mon 18-Feb-13 19:13:12

Juniper904 (or anyone) Could you let me know what a walk in early pregnancy clinic is - is this something your doctor does or is it somewhere else. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and have quite a few questions that I'd love to ask. The Doctor I've seen seemed to want to get rid of me in 5 mins flat and I felt too intimidated to ask all the questions I wanted to ask. The internet has been invaluable so far and for the most part reassuring.

Not sure about cyclizine sorry hayle Ive been sick on and off or past week, twice this morning but I blame the neighbours cooking at 10 o clock bleugh. Sorry cant be more help maybe call dr to check?
I know what you mean about not being in control mrs Im wavering between not worrying because theres nothing I can do and panicking because theres nothing I can do... Makes no sense at all. Hope your friends wife is ok. Also Id definitely ring on the Friday before your 8 weeks smile A couple of days cant hurt.
Had a letter through in the post today about a research trial in pregnancy in my area. It is to do with vitamin d in pregnancy and if I was to do it would get a 4d scan which we cant afford to pay for privately... Very tempted.

Also like the idea of telling people on April fools, shame our scan is on the 2nd April! not very inventive with these things at all so keeping an eye out for ideas, some of them are lovely.

Hope everyones had a good Monday, I already cant wait till the weekend!

haylebop you dont win im afraid last week I stared being sick at 6 weeks worst had to be a full steak pie dinner in the restaurant bathroom sad really not sure about meds but I have heard its safe I would check with nhs direct/24

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 19:18:43

Damn I never win! Will call NHS direct and see what they suggest.

terrifiednewbie Mon 18-Feb-13 19:20:09

wow this thread has moved fast-will have to scroll through and read it all at some point.

bronze-Epu are basically walk in centres gore early pregnancy/ gynae probs (definitions and cut offs vary between centres generally) where if you have a problem in early pregnancy you can go. often long waits. generally advised to reserve for more serious probs such as possible ectopic pregnancies, bleeding/possible miscarriage etc. a lot of antenatal clinics have hot lines manned by midwifes-if you have questions you would like answered, that May be a more useful option for you?

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 19:34:03

Called nags direct who obviously said the meds should have been thrown away once is finished them. Not the answer I was looking for but awaiting a call back from my out of hours doc.

Sorry to hear that haylebop out of hours doc should write a new script. Does it stop sickness altogether? I am not so sick today myself but I know that wont last smile

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 19:47:14

It did for me, although still felt nauseas at least I could eat and keep it down

Natalieand Mon 18-Feb-13 19:47:51

Ahh now I'm sorry to be all me me me again but I just can't read back through all the messages ATM
Had my dating scan and I thought I was 5+5

Turns out their are currently two gestational sacs and two yolk sacs but soon graphed wants to see me again in a week to check on their progress eeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk !!!!!!! Can't believe it!!!!!!! She measures me at 4-5 weeks xx

Wow natileland congrats dating is not always accurate this early on do you have twins in the family? grin

That's definitely WOW Natalie fingers crossed for a couple of strong heartbeats next scan!

Have you had lots of symptoms?

roofio87 Mon 18-Feb-13 20:02:23

oh Natalie I'm so glad the scan went well, even if a little shocking for you!! our first twins!! congrats xx

Rockchick1984 Mon 18-Feb-13 20:06:12

Bronze the walk-in Early Pregnancy Units are just for problems eg bleeding, very bad pains etc. Any questions can probably be answere here for you or as Terrified said you can call the midwife unit and they should help you over the phone.

Wow, Natalie, twins!! How do you feel about it? Congratulations!!

Hayle why not get a dr's appointment and if they prescribe it again then use the old tablets before the new prescription? I think it has to be pretty extreme sickness before they recommend taking any anti-nausea tablets though.

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 20:11:34

natalie wow congrats!

I just want to nip this sickness in the bud before it takes over my life and get admitted.

Haylebop12 Mon 18-Feb-13 20:12:18

I have work at 6am :-/

cherrycherry41 Mon 18-Feb-13 20:15:36

Natalie MASSIVE CONGRATS!!!!! grin

candr Mon 18-Feb-13 20:21:52

Congrats on twins Natalie, I am a twin but identicle so not genetic, non identice run on DH side so a bit worried as we can't fit 3DC in this house.
To those worrying about Dr app, normaly when you find you are pg you go and tell them, they ask a couple of questions and work out your EDD and that is it. You then get 2 scan letters and your free medical card in the post some time later. If you have not had scan letter by 11weeks contact them so you can get a scan by 12weeks.
For sickness I was advised to eat a dry cracker in bed before getting up (didn't work for me but might for you Haylebop12

pinkmoonlight Mon 18-Feb-13 20:34:03

Congratulations Natalie! Amazing news!

JellyCurls Mon 18-Feb-13 20:42:24

Yikes and congratulations natalie hope you are keeping well.

My tummy hurts and I don't know why sad. It's low down near pelvis and not crampy but definitely sore. I ran after dc2 today and my groin was sore hope hope hoping its not SPD starting early. At 12 weeks with dc2 I felt like my insides were falling out.

Is it safe to cuddle a hot water bottle in early pregnancy, 8 weeks tomorrow I think?

Natalieand Mon 18-Feb-13 20:44:37

Yes falcon my half sister has non identical twins and my NANs sister was a twin

Ahhhhhh I'm so excited got like a permanent grin on my face lol xxx

Natalieand Mon 18-Feb-13 20:46:46

Oops sorry wasn't being rude, it didn't update all ur congrats messages until after I posted that last message lol

No major symptoms bit of an upset tummy and sore boobs but nothing major other than that

Tiredness has been a major issue tho tbh

So excited :-) having another scan me to Monday to check on the progress xxxx

moonblues Mon 18-Feb-13 20:58:56

Wow Natalie - congratulations! smile

BirdsDoIt Mon 18-Feb-13 21:05:00

Hello everyone - wow, can't believe we're on page 4 of this thread already! I've been trying to ration myself to looking at all these posts once a day after a week ago when I got completely obsessed with it and pregnancy time started to slow down to a very very slow crawl...it's kind of worked, the last five days have been slightly less spent in counting every minute and monitoring every twinge. At 7+3 weeks now I think...

Congrats on twins Natalie! So exciting! I doubt we'll get twins - just keeping all fingers and toes crossed for one healthy baby - but I do have a secret hope that he/she will be ginger :-)

I love the idea of including the scan at the end of your wedding album. Unfortunately that would mean I need to get a move on and do our wedding album!

Has anyone else started doing inexplicably stupid things? I am incredibly forgetful at the moment. The best (worst) yet was on Thursday night when I drove round to supermarket to buy a few things, and it was only when I came back to the car twenty minutes later that I thought, hmm, where are the car keys? And then, that's odd, why are the car headlights still on? Turns out I had literally got out of the car and walked away leaving the keys in the ignition!!! Can I blame this on pregnancy?

Birds my friend had a darling baby boy lsst week with a glorious head of red hair!

I haven't done anything too stupid yet although couldn't find my car in car park after work on sunday, problem being I had our huge truck not my car! There was only a few cars in car park and it's huge no idea how I missed it! I was dreadful last pg DH must have forgotten he said he would have to get me a carer to accompany me everywhere if we had any more (think calling him from garage saying I had put wrong fuel in the car was last straw) grin

My nipples hurt (only real symptom so far) never had it with either DD so of course I'm thinking it's prob a boy smile

Umlauf Mon 18-Feb-13 21:25:12

Congratulations Natalie! Twin mum! DH is a bit jealous because he has a weird logic that if someone in the group has twins we are less likely to (he really really wants twins!) how exciting for you and what a massive shock!

birds I also really really really want the baby to have proper red hair. DH has the most incredible hair, the richest red I've ever seen and I would love for the baby to share it. Problem in I'm boring mousey colour as is my entire family and I think genetically that wins. Fingers tightly crossed!!

Livened Mon 18-Feb-13 21:46:53

Twins! Amazing news Natalie.

After a duff week when DS and I got hand foot and mouth, I'm feeling sooo much better. Also poas again today and still pregnant. Early scan booked for 2nd March (private).

My son is bein such an angel recently - sleeping well etc, but I'm still worrying about how to cope with a newborn and a 22 month old!

It's amazing how much each areas booking in antenatal care differs. My docs just give you the telephone number for the hospital maternity unit and they arrange a booking in appointment at around 6/7 weeks with a community midwife. They then arrange the 12 week scan and nuchal fold test etc. I don't think I could wait until 16 weeks for my first scan!

Anyone else planning to find out what sex they are having? We knew we were having a boy last time, and it was lovely to plan things and imagine what he would be like.

Ooh new thread is it?

I've been feeling pretty rough and sorry for myself but I went swimming tonight and started eating a bit more healthily today, and that's helped.

Natalie and Umlauf (ooh and someone else was sounding like a possible...) please have the twins! I can't imagine how much work that would be!

Got the midwife appt on Friday. I think we will discuss options for where to have the baby. There is a midwife lead birthing centre locally, I'd love to go there, but I'm not sure if the demand is too high. Hmm.

CelticPromise Mon 18-Feb-13 22:05:10

Pannacotta the one near me is really underused, apparently people want to be closer to hospital just in case. I booked there last time and it looks amazing, but I had to have a section so they won't take me now.sad Hope you get in where you want!

Natalieand Mon 18-Feb-13 22:11:32

Ahhh thanks for all the congrats guys, just hoping that when I go back for a rescan next monday that all is well and there are two tiny heart beats:-) this is gunna be the slowest week ever!! So glad I'm not suffering the ms thug having an upset tummy is bad enough for me lol

Can't believe some of us r 8 weeks already not far from the 12 weeks mark. I have a while to go yet as I'm only 5+5 :-( xxx

You're not in Tower Hamlets are you Celtic? wink

I actually live much closer to the hospital than the birthing centre is, so I'm wondering if I could aim for a water birth at home if I can't get into the birthing centre, or even anyway... Would have all the comforts of the birthing centre (water birth, double bed, midwife to myself etc) with a much quicker dash in case of emergency.

roxvox Mon 18-Feb-13 22:43:43

I can't quite believe that I am 7 weeks tomorrow! Ugh I hope everything is alright in there!

Congrats Natalieand, that's amazing news! I'd love to have twins and fraternal twins run in my family, but with my lack of symptoms I am sure that my HCG levels aren't high enough for someone having twins!

I've got my first midwife appointment on Wednesday. What should I expect? DH is coming along too. Can they measure my HCG levels there and then to check that they're nice and high?

roxvox Mon 18-Feb-13 22:48:13

I should point out that I am guessing that you'd have higher HCG levels if you we're pregnant with twins, but I have no idea whether that's factual (most probably way off the mark!)

I'd like to have twins because DH's ideal number of children would be one, whereas I want 2, so having two at once would avoid a conversation in the future wink

Prisci Mon 18-Feb-13 22:59:37

Hello,

Just found out I might be 5 weeks PG with DC 3. Completely shocked shock, used contraception and definitely was not planning on being PG again. So far, cross finger need the loo a lot and quite moody but that's all.

tackytiger Tue 19-Feb-13 06:27:36

Whoo twins! Just popping in to post on the new thread-can't believe the Oct thread I started has filled up so fast!
I'm doing well, still no real sickness or cravings just like with my first pregnancy.
Roll on 18 March for my scan!
On phone, so could someone add me to the list please?
Tackytiger, 32, 1DD, EDD 28 September

Rockchick1984 Tue 19-Feb-13 07:55:53

Morning ladies! Well, having been smug pregnant lady with no morning sickness last time around, I've been so rough this morning! DH bought me a pregnancy Pilates DVD which I did yesterday and felt amazing for; tried to do it first thing this morning and threw up less than 5 mins into it envy <--vom face. Not sure if it was the exercise that caused it, or if it's just all kicking off for me now.

Welcome Prisci

mouseymummy Tue 19-Feb-13 08:02:32

Wow, twins!! My dsis had twins during my pg with dd2!! They were 5'3 & 5'13. Ten weeks earlier than mine and are now littlettanks!! My dd is really dinky and still in 0-3 months clothes but the boys are huge!! Proper squishy little things!!

I'm slightly nervous today because my c section scar has been aching last night and this morning, I had an emcs due to dd2 being an undiagnosed breech. I'd likea vbac but if my scar is aching now, am I going to be made to have another section?

Other than that, no symptoms still.... I've had no sickness or sore boobs or anything really... This has gotta be a boy as with dd1&2 by this stage I'd thrown up loads!!

Hi all

Just checking in as we're away for a few days. Im 7 weeks today and still feeling sick but not as bad last night as it has been. I called the GP yesterday to check on appts and they said to give it till the end of the week. The GP did give me the exemption form when I saw her though. She stamped it and told me to fill the rest in and post it hmm !

Congrats on the twins Nat!

CelticPromise Tue 19-Feb-13 08:20:54

Pannacotta no I'm in NW London. I'm also considering a home water birth, I'm sure that will go down well for a VBAC! My pregnancy will be high risk because I had problems last time but I'm hoping the high risk clinic will be able to discharge me nearer the time so I can have choices about delivery. My CS could not have been avoided and if I have the same problems again it will likely be another but I've been told I have a 70%ish chance that all will be well. Then I can make a nuisance of myself about the birth!

I like your thinking about home birth, seems to make sense. My local hospital has a birth centre but I'm sure they won't take a VBAC any more than the standalone one will. Ah well long way to go!

roofio87 Tue 19-Feb-13 08:43:41

Celtic and mousey just out of interest really. what is their main concern about vbacs? are they much more high risk births? I've just heard it mentioned a few times and was wondering what the deal is?
hope everyone is doing alright today. I feel stupid after having been worried about a lack of ms now that its decided to come on full force!Haha. not been sick yet,but feel it all the time!! oh well!! keep telling myself how worth it it will be!!smile

Iheartcrunchiebars Tue 19-Feb-13 08:51:37

Oh no roofio. I'm still avoiding ms so keeping fingers crossed.

Congratulations on the twins. Very exciting!

Umlauf Tue 19-Feb-13 09:35:16

Hmm pannacotta I'm not sure how I'd feel about twins. DH gets 3 weeks paternity leave so I expect he likes the idea of them because he gets away very soon after! He wants them for the same reason roxvox does, I have only ever seen myself having one DC and he has always imagined 2.

I get really ashamed admitting I only want 1 DC as people react as though that's some sort of child cruelty, especially my Mum who was a very reluctant only child and behaves very much like one in her mid fifties I don't get in well at all with my you ger sister (close age gap) as we are polar opposites and she's mean but I adore my baby aged 21 brother so maybe I'd consider a second DC with a bigger age gap. Although not sure i want to go through all this queasiness again! And of course ALL families are the same so my DC will have exactly the same experience as I had NOT! Such flawed logic. Ah I've rambled for ages there!

There was nothing in the fridge today except an egg and a lemon. I made pancakes! Feel mighty sick now though.

I also have a MASSIVE craving for healthy food and have written the longest shopping list full of variants of lettuce. It's a bit annoying living overseas as there is just the one type of food. No chance of a Thai or a curry, I did manage to find what was advertised as a full english breakfast on Sunday but it turned out to be a plate of sausage and chips!

I chickened out of telling my colleagues although they were commenting in how I've been ill for weeks. It just seems the oddest thing to drop into conversation face to face! After the 12 week scan I shall let England know (as in, my friends and family there!) via the Internet so ill be spared the weird chat!

How accurate (or not) is the connection between ms and gender? Although I'm complaining lots I've only had mild nausea really, exacerbated by a bad cold, so I'm thinking a boy?!

8+1 and no scan until 12+4 is is worse than the 2ww!

Umlauf Tue 19-Feb-13 09:35:36

Bloody hell that was long. Apologies!

Morning all welcome to the bus newbies.

Well today i gave in and booked an early scan with the epu I know i have no real reason to worry but i have lost a few beans and the anxiety is getting to me. My sickness has lessened but as i have said instead of being happy everything is a potential problem sad Scan on Friday at 11. I know there are small risks with early scans and am a bit worried but it will be abdominal so should be ok.

I am just a nervous wreck blush

roofio87 Tue 19-Feb-13 09:46:11

my sister had no ms with either of her dcs and she has one of each!! I don't believe there's any link, but I'm sure some do!!

Sal1977 Tue 19-Feb-13 09:47:16

Morning motherships!

I feel terrible!!! I've been using a hot water bottle to help with crampiness!

I didn't know you shouldn't do it!! I know I haven't been shooting up heroin but I've been doing it for days! I'm gutted that I might've proper cocked something up!

That's all. shock

roofio87 Tue 19-Feb-13 09:51:44

sal don't worry. they say you just need to be careful about not raising your core body temperature. but you're hot water bottle won't be that hot if you can hold it against you so I'm sure it won't have done any damage. my friend who's a mw says she recommends them for cramps etc just not too hot!!x

roxvox Tue 19-Feb-13 09:56:58

Morning Sal1977, I didn't know that you weren't supposed to use a hot water bottle! I am guessing it's to keep temperature down? I'm sure everything is fine.

Umlauf I do feel for you not being able to get the exact food you want! My husband wants only one DC for the same reason as you, he has an older Brother who he didn't get on very well with as a child. I am one of three and like you I get on better with my younger brother as I am not very girly, whereas my sister loves dresses and make up etc. however I just want two because I don't want an only child! Each to their own though and I can completely understand why someone may only want one child.

I have my first MW appt tomorrow (at 7+1), what should I expect?

Is anyone experiencing food aversions? I can't stomach the idea of anything mushy (I.e. soup or couscous) so am munching my way through some crackers right now. I seem to start feeling a little queasy every couple of hours, but crackers are helping. Still no MS.

roofio87 Tue 19-Feb-13 10:02:10

roxvox I normally have such a sweet tooth, love biscuits and chocolate, but now I can't stand the thought of anything like that!! not had a pudding for weeks!!

Umlauf Tue 19-Feb-13 10:33:24

Shit none of my clothes are fitting properly! Surely this is too early... Am I just getting really fat?

cuillereasoupe Tue 19-Feb-13 10:36:56

Hello everyone, no symptoms here yet (just 5 weeks I think) except sensitive skin - I have to strip off when I get in from work blush

daft question here: how much tea do you drink? I usually have three really strong cuppas a day and I've found conflicting advice about how much to have. Giving up booze is no hardship, but I'm going to struggle without my cuppas!

BTW I'm not in the UK and caffeine-free tea isn't readily available where I am at least I don't think so - I haven't looked, it just seems like such an abomination!

funkky Tue 19-Feb-13 10:52:05

Congrats Natalie! Twins....that would be a dream for me as I can be done with pg in one go lol

Question please regarding dates. Do you date from the first day of your last period or from conception? How does the MW date it? Just occurred to me I am 8 weeks today but if i date from conception it's two weeks less......need it to move quickly plus trying to work out if I get maternity pay. Thanks

roxvox Tue 19-Feb-13 11:08:39

Hi funkky. Apparently everyone dates it from the first day of your last period. Seems odd to me but the theory is that people are more likely to know the first date of their last period than they are to know exactly when they conceived. So it's a more universal measure of it all.

cuillereasoup Hello! I used to drink 3 cups of coffee a day but prior to POAS I decided to switch to peppermint tea because I was getting annoyed that I found myself relying on the coffee! It took a bit of getting used to, but I don't miss coffee at all now. Not sure what the limit is I am afraid!

roofio I have always been a big fan of sweets (not chocolate so much), but now I am not fussed. I'd rather have a piece of toast with some marmite on (yum). Or yesterday I discovered Daim bars. Sure I used to hate them but it was bloody lovely!

Is anyone else getting a sickly hungry feeling every hour or so, but when they eat they feel super full really quickly?!

JellyCurls Tue 19-Feb-13 11:15:34

Umlauf my clothes dont fit either blush my trousers I normally keep for that time of the month are even to tight. I refuse at 8 weeks to wear mat clothes but I also refuse to buy a bigger size. On the reverse of that I have also lost half a stone in weight so not sure how that all ties together.

My pelvis is hurting, short stabby pains just above the pelvic bone. I am sure this is normal and I probably had it in my last pregnancies but its not making me feel great. Anybody else getting stabby pains?

roxvox Tue 19-Feb-13 11:50:40

jellycurls I had been having some stabby pains too over the weekend. I think I just over exerted myself walking or something!

I am definitely getting a bit of a belly. I sat in the bath last night looking at my tummy and wondering where the hell it's come from! My diet hasn't really changed (except for less sweets and more crackers) so I find it quite odd. Fortunately my jeans still fit but my belt is a few holes loser than before!

Sal1977 Tue 19-Feb-13 11:56:05

Hey Jelly- yep, hence why I was slowly cooking my bean with a hot water bottle. I have very mild crampiness pretty much on and off all the time interspersed with 'twangers' as I like to call them. All perfectly normal apparantly!

I've been living in leggings and a long vest with a long cardi over the top, although I work from home so can get away with it. I lost over a stone at Slimming world last year then when I quit smoking in August to start TTC put it all back on again! Grrrr...the intention was to get it off again before getting preggers but that didn't happen so I've started off a stone overweight!!

Any others who have given up smoking/trying to give up/not planning to give up out there? Xx

PipsWife Tue 19-Feb-13 12:22:51

Hello! Is it ok to join?
I'm 7+4, with 1DD 21 months.
Last year I had a MC and an ectopic so extra cautious and on permanent knicker watch - TMI!
Also had a scan yesterday at EPU and they dated me as 5+5! I'm unsure quite what that means ?dates wrong or small baby?
Re scan in 2 weeks so more waiting and more worry, DC2 seems much more drama than DD1!!

Irishfairy Tue 19-Feb-13 12:51:22

Hi all, can't believe how fast these threads have moved, just read through the end of the first one and all of this one, you chatty bunch grin
I've been away for a week visiting family so haven't been able to post. Told my parents and sister and they were very happy.
Those mentioning the pelvic pains I was having them too and I remembered from being pregnant with dd, when I also had it, that I was told to not stand on one leg when putting on footwear or clothes but to sit down instead and also not to sit with my legs crossed. That really helped last time and the pain has gone away for now since I've stopped doing those things this time too.
I also have the sickly starving feeling but then can't eat too much. So I'm eating more often. Also gone off anything mushy or liquidy like sauces and soups. Have randomly had a craving for edamame this afternoon so may try and find some in the shop. Haven't had it for years. smile

moonblues Tue 19-Feb-13 12:51:55

Urgggh. I'm feeling sick today, yet somehow think it could be cured if I ate the perfect food, but everything tastes rubbish. I'm going to head to the shops to stock up on crackers and ginger biscuits!
cuillereasoup I've been struggling without tea too. I think you're meant to limit caffiene to 200g a day and a mug of tea has 75g in it. So I've been trying to stick to 2 cups of the real stuff and having decaf inbetween. xuntitledx recommended PGtips on the last thread, which is pretty good as decaf goes. I've found lemon and ginger tea is quite good when the morning sickness kicks in.
Welcome Prisci and PipsWife

CelticPromise Tue 19-Feb-13 13:15:14

cuillereasoup I believe the recommended amount is about four cups of tea? I can't do without it either, but swapped my evening earl grey for chamomile a while back and I sleep better.

roofio I believe the main additional risk of VBAC is scar rupture, which is not common but can be catastrophic. There is also the risk of whatever went wrong previously happening again (which doesn't apply to me as my CS was urgent but planned, I've never been in labour). I intend to be an expert by the time I get to birth choices, if I get that far!

tuckingfits Tue 19-Feb-13 14:00:13

Nice new thread! God I feel awful. 6 weeks yesterday & ms kicked in last night. I haven't been sick but the constant nausea on top of the crushing tiredness is making me feel very very grim.

Wow - twins! Congratulations!! excellent,no twins for me

Bronzemoth Tue 19-Feb-13 14:12:22

Thanks Rockchick. I think I should probably leave the EPU alone to deal with bigger worries. I just felt a bit overwhelmed yesterday and feeling a bit behind everyone else in terms of mw appointments and scan dates and not looking forward to another appointment with Dr Unhelpful.

Yikes on the Morning sickness. I've been nauseus on and off throughout each day but it is definitely worse in the mornings so perhaps it might be worth trying in the evenings instead. I've been finding exercise a welcome distraction.

EuroShagmore Tue 19-Feb-13 14:33:28

bronze I'm still pretty much in denial and not doing anything about going to see the GP/midwife until after my 6 week scan at my fertility clinic next week.

tuckingfits Tue 19-Feb-13 15:36:02

I find I feel a bit less shit when I'm sipping a mug of boiling water with fresh ginger slices in it. But immediately feel shit again when it runs out. Working tonight, not sure how that's going to go...

cazboldy Tue 19-Feb-13 15:37:39

Hi to the new people smile

Congrats Natalie smile

Doctor's this morning. It was a new doctor - 1st time i have seen her..... was very funny when i said i was pg, she said "1st baby?" i said "6th" and she nearly fell of her chair grin

just a quick chat, blood pressure done, and booked to see mw next Thurs.

By her reckoning I will be 8 wks tomorrow - due on the 2nd Oct...... but with my cycles being all over the place, I really have no idea - so we shall see!

Sal1977 Tue 19-Feb-13 17:05:27

Is anyone else self employed and wondering quite what they're gonna do once their bubbles are born? X

pinkbuttons Tue 19-Feb-13 17:11:32

Hi everyone, just catching up and Congrats Natalie how exciting for you!
It seems a few of us have had our dates changed quite alot my early scans.
I am feeling very non pregnant today and having my own little worry. Ive gone from being sick every day to not even feeling sick today... I did have a great nights sleep so am hoping its just that. Not that Im complaining if I could know bean was ok and not feel sick that would be perfect.
sorry to anyone whos started ms today, maybe I gave you mine.

mini28 Tue 19-Feb-13 17:45:53

Hi everyone, not posted for a while. Gosh, there's been lots going on! Just read through about a weeks' worth of postings - took me almost an hour haha!

Congrats Natalieand wonderful news on twins smile

Unfortunately, I've had a very bumpy weekend. On Sat evening, I had some bright red spotting (sorry TMI) - it scared the crap out of me. Went to see an out of hours GP and she said there's no way of knowing whether it would develop into a miscarriage over the next few days. They couldn't scan me because it was a weekend. So I spent Sunday, Monday and today constantly on knicker watch. I haven't had any more red blood since that one time on Saturday; just been having some dark brown spotting. Yesterday I started getting these mild stabbing pains in the centre lower abdomen and immediately thought the worst. But today the brown spotting has reduced to minimal amount and the stabbing pains are much less frequent (on the point of almost disappearing).

I still have very sore boobs (which have gotten worse since Saturday) and still very hungry and tired. Also, I started to get visible veins over my boobs yesterday. So I hope they're all good signs, although I am well aware that you can still continue with pregnancy symptoms even if it's all gone wrong in there.

They haven't offered me an early scan, and not sure whether to push for one just to see what's going on... My GP said there was a risk that they wouldn't be able to find a heartbeat as I'm only 6weeks 4days and that might make me even more anxious.

Unfortunately, all this meant that we had to tell DH's mum and dad when we were both really stressed out on Sunday. Not exactly the nicest way to tell them about their first grandchild! I've also had to take two days off work and now I feel like I have to tell them why, as I let them down big time by not going into work the last two days.

Wow, this really wasn't how I imagined telling people sad

Sal and Strawberry I think I remember reading that you both had some issues recently, how are you both?

Sorry for the mememe post (and really long!). Feel like I'm reeling from the scariest few days I've ever had.

GettingObsessive Tue 19-Feb-13 17:52:16

Pinkbuttons me too and it's got me all worried. Trying to reassure myself that my boobs are still bigger and sensitive and still doing lots of wee trips, but its not helping much. This time last week I was really feeling very queasy, so it's quite odd for it to suddenly disappear.

Roll on MW appointment next Monday and scan in a few weeks I guess.

pinkbuttons Tue 19-Feb-13 18:34:31

oh no mini sorry for your awful few days. I would definitely get in touch with gp again with regards to spotting and pain, would say you should definitely be offered an early scan and as long as your aware that they may not see a heartbeat yet it would surely till give you some reassurance and help with whether you need to tell work.
obsessive how far along are you? im only 7 weeks today and a bit confused, guess ill just have to hope sickness is back tomorrow (never thought id say that)

*getting obsessive*pinkbuttons I am only a few days ahead and mines has come and gone from terrible to hardly there too I think its normal.

mini im so sorry your going through that the epu should see you. There is a epu info page on the net you can self refer if you have been a patient before numbers are there and opening hours no need for gp referal smile

Jaseslu Tue 19-Feb-13 19:02:25

Hi there, I found out yesterday that I am pregnant by using a first response test. Af is due on Friday so playing the waiting game, however several bfps were nice and strong. We got married last July and have been trying since Xmas. Can't quite believe that I am pregnant and keep waiting for something horrible to happen!

Sal1977 Tue 19-Feb-13 19:11:24

Hi Mini

Yes! I had some watery pink/red spotting on the loo roll on Saturday afternoon and evening and then a big of brown discharge type stuff (only a tiny bit) on Sunday morning. I took some paracetamols early Sunday morning as I felt really crampy but that's eased off now.

Went to the docs on Monday morning and she's booked me in for an early scan on Thursday when I'll be 6+5.

It's fairly common apparently and I've since spoken to a couple of people who had it at pretty much exactly 6 weeks.

I would push for an early scan as its surely better to know either way if its a duffer or not.

Let me know how you get on. Xx

notsoold Tue 19-Feb-13 19:26:16

Hi can I join in??
I am only 5+3 and it will be dc3...however after a mmc and a cp I am very happy and very worried....

mouseymummy Tue 19-Feb-13 19:28:14

Roofio, I think scar rupture is the main reason as Celtic stated but it's pretty rare, wwith myself, it's more a risk of baby being breech again that I'm concerned about... I will be demanding extra scans and will be having another section if this one is as awkward as dd2!!

Well, today has been another good day, still no symptoms at all!! No sore boobs, no ms, no nothing. Not sure if it's a good thing or not now. Just going yo have to wait til the 12 week scan and try not to be such a nervous Nelly!!

Just settling little miss then it's time for me to chill out with dh ir

candr Tue 19-Feb-13 20:05:15

I had forgotton how nerve wracking every twinge is. Have been getting sharp pains if I cough, turn sharply or lifting DS.
Those of you who are worried about spotting I do remember having spotting at 6w last time and having some days where symptoms seemed to have gone but all was fine and have since met lots of mum friends who had the same thing so try to relax though not easy I know.
Had very bad ms with DS so hope that will be different but had first upchuck today (am only 4w). Also had really bad heart burn with DS (Rennies and more Rennies) and all the nurses said it was cause he had lots of hair (he did!)
Well DH away and DS sparko so am off to bed smile

LandsN Tue 19-Feb-13 20:50:52

Hi there
I am due on 25/10/13 I have 2 dc's aged 11 and 8 and have had 3 mc's since last one being 19/12/12 I am now 4+4 and have been referred to a consultant fingers crossed I get passed the dreaded 8 weeks which I have not last 3 times

GettingObsessive Tue 19-Feb-13 21:01:19

Pinkbuttons I am same as you, 7 weeks today, we are due date buddies smile

mini28 Tue 19-Feb-13 21:10:34

thanks for the messages girls. It's such a relief to come on here and be able to talk to people about it.

It does seem like quite a few people experience spotting round about 6 weeks so trying to keep my hopes up at this point.

Thanks thefalconsmistress for the advice. This is my first time pregnant so not sure if I can still self-refer to epu? I might call them anyway and see what they say.

Sal do let me know how you get on on Thursday xx

roofio87 Tue 19-Feb-13 21:24:06

gettingobssessive and pinkbuttons me too!! bring on the 9th October (or there abouts!! wink )

GTbaby Tue 19-Feb-13 21:28:44

Mousy I've a 4month old aswel. shock
I would think they would insist on another c section hmm as ur last scar hasn't healed fully. But check with dr and discuss it.

Hayley I'm on same meds. Made massive difference interns of vomming. But still feel sick.

char1eston Tue 19-Feb-13 21:33:42

Welcome notsoold, LandsN and Jaseslu and congrats on the bfp's
Falcon - hope your scan goes well on Friday
Natalie - congrats on the twins <secretly wipes brow in the hope that it means I am less likely to have them now>
bronze - it seems like each area is different. I had a gp app and following that I made an app with the mw. After that first app, the mw booked my scan and I have had a date for that through. She also made a date for my booking in app, which is on Friday.
Try not to worry and feel free to ask questions on here - there are some very experienced mums on here

PseudoBadger Tue 19-Feb-13 21:48:04

Hi everyone, I lost you all in the move over here! Still pootling along with no symptoms at 5+4, except it hurts a bit when I BF DS.
I hope everyone with spotting and any other worries are doing ok x

roxvox Tue 19-Feb-13 22:10:29

gettingobsessive, pinkbuttons, roofio87 and me! High fives all round...

Got my first MW appt tomorrow. Hoping for a "everything is going very well and you're actually at 12 weeks already there's nothing to worry about..." Etc etc

cherrycherry41 Tue 19-Feb-13 22:11:35

mousey i have a 4 month old too by emcs, my scar has healed fine and i saw the mw yesterday and she said it would be fine for me to have a vbac if i wanted to do so. I said theres no way im pushing an 11lb-er through my lady bits! Any volunteers for that one? No thanks, id rather have an elcs, no matter how much id love a natural birth x

Natalieand Wed 20-Feb-13 06:55:34

All this spotting is scary, I didn't suffer with any spotting with my dd1.
6 weeks today!!! Was only 3+3 when I found out and 6 weeks sounds so much more substantial lol. How r everyone's symptoms? Also wondering what everyone's living arrangement are? Me and hubby currently live in a 2 bed house and was hoping to move to a 3 bed before baby arrive but now there's 2 babies on the way I think we deffo need to move before the birth but don't wanna jump the gun before 12 weeks as I no u are at risk of loosing one twin before the 12 week mark.

And seriously is n e one else peeing a lot? 3 times I've been up tonight to pee I feel like I've been awake all night as with hubby's snoring it takes forever to fall back asleep!!! Sorry for the rant

Hope everyone's keeping well :-) xxxx

Sal1977 Wed 20-Feb-13 08:03:12

We have s big question mark over our living arrangement as well Natslie. We bought a 2 bed flat last year but the 2nd bedroom is actually my treatment room (I'm a beauty therapist) so I really don't know what we're gonna do yet. We may have to sell it and try and get something bigger, just a bummer that our incomes haven't got bigger since the summer!!!

pinkbuttons Wed 20-Feb-13 08:41:42

relieved and embarrased this morning about my paranoia worrying. sickness is back although not as bad as before so maybe it is just getting better.
were also going to have to move in summer were in 2 bed at the moment, will also be moving as DH has just been offered a promotion which is very exciting and has massively relieved his money fears. He phoned me last night from his business trip to tell me he had the most vivid dream it was a girl. grin Its the first time hes bought up the bean in conversation and am very relieved hes now showing his excitement. clearly just needed a few weeks for it to sink in.

waves to everyone due around the same time as me smile how are you today obsessive sickness back?

sorry to hear spotting is worrying you natalie when did you say yor next scan is? will you get more scans now that your having twins?

Natalieand Wed 20-Feb-13 08:58:17

pink buttons my next scan is Monday. I am not spotting myself but it worries me that everyone else seems to be. I've got my midwife booking appt today with the same midwife who cared for me throughout with dd1. Not sure what will happen with scans. Mondays is to confirm a twin pregnancy and try to detect heartbeats as I was too early for heartbeats the other day. She did say that sometimes twin two doesn't develop and that if that happens I will more than likely bleed so I'm on constant knicker watch lol. Both sacs have yolk sacs inside atm.But I'm not in pain and haven't had any bleeding so have to be optimistic. I'm still trying to get my head round it tbh lol. I really want a private scan today cos I'm so worried but hubby says its a waste of money and is putting his foot down :-( men eh!

walnut300 Wed 20-Feb-13 09:00:30

natalieand I'm also 6 weeks today!! I have a scan in a few weeks, I dont live in the uk anymore so going private! smile haha peeing... I was up a record 7 times in the night!! my dp was concerned I had an upset stomach!!!

walnut300 Wed 20-Feb-13 09:02:27

natalieand try not to worry I am sure everything is fine in there.

HotSoupDumpling Wed 20-Feb-13 09:23:14

O. M. G. - twins! Congratulations Natalie and good luck with your scan (I know I'm a few days behind everyone else!).

We're also in a 2-bed flat but we're going to stay put for as long as possible. I'm just going to have be merciless in chucking a load of stuff out to make room!

GettingObsessive Wed 20-Feb-13 09:24:52

how are you today obsessive sickness back?

pinkbuttons funny you should ask, yes it's back with a vengeance grin

We have a cafe at work so I am currently wolfing down a sausage sandwich like my life depends on it. Have you got pain in your hip joints? It's like what I would get with period pains, a sort of dull ache.

StrawberryGateaux Wed 20-Feb-13 10:24:13

Congratulations to all of you, how exciting Natalie, twinssmile

Unfortunetly i am miscarrying, well atleast i think i am, bleeding quite badly now, and had a clotsad
I ended up telling my mum & best friend about my pregnancy as i needed their help emotionally.
My friend phoned up the early pregnancy unit for me, i was told it was probably implantation bleeding and to do another poas next tues and if still positive to come in for a scan, if not then i have miscarriedsad
The bleeding got worse after the phonecall, it's much worse than spotting and my pregnancy symptoms have gone.
Really sad right now & i have been recieving a lot of support from the miscarriage forum on here as quite frankly my docs surgery is useless.

I wish all you lucky mummies well and hope to hear of all your gorgeous babies in October, congratulations and enjoy every minute of your new journeys ahead of youthanksthanksthanks

So sorry strawberry same happenned to me in nov, (and June but that's another story!) I had a lot of support from the ladies over on the other threads, hope to see back over this side soon xxx

roxvox Wed 20-Feb-13 10:48:36

So sorry strawberry. I hope everything works out for you on Tuesday. Will be thinking of you.

walnut300 Wed 20-Feb-13 10:52:06

Sorry to hear that strawberry.. thinking of you. I also miscarried in January and got pregnant again straight away (6 wks today) so I hope the same happens to you. We're all here to show our support.

Umlauf Wed 20-Feb-13 11:00:51

So sorry strawberry thinking of you. Such a shame that your GP aren't giving you much support. If the bleeding has got heavier it might be worth ringing the EPU again as the situations changed? Lovely to hear you are being supported on here and by your lovely friend and Mumthough.

pinkmoonlight Wed 20-Feb-13 11:51:25

So sorry strawberry thanks thinking of you x

Sending love strawberry

JellyCurls Wed 20-Feb-13 12:05:07

Sending you love and support strawberry I would call EPU and explain situation again. Glad you got RL support too x

notsoold Wed 20-Feb-13 12:35:14

Natalie congratulations on twins....
I also pee galore and I thought it was because I am an old chicken and my lady bits are oldie oldie....
Our size is a good size but terrible catchment area for schools!!!
I still do not have any other symptoms but peeing and tender breasts...
I was so stressed about losing this lo I tested again....still bfp!!!
And still not told dh or anybody but my mum( who guessed anyway). I am trying to wait for the 12 scan ...very hard!!

Good afternoon all....

cherrycherry41 Wed 20-Feb-13 13:15:47

so sorry strawberry fingers crossed for good news for you xxxx

in other news, ive got my scan date through! 27th march nice and early grin

Hi ladies, I have been stalking watching with interest for about 2 weeks now, am so scared of jinxing anything! So sorry to hear your news strawberry, I am in exactly the same position as walnut which is what prompted me to come out of the shadows! Miscarried on 9th Jan at 8 weeks and got a BFP 2 weeks ago without AF in between. 6 weeks today wink. Have read loads of stories from people who went on to have successful pregnancies straight away so FX for all of us. Don't think I will relax until I have baby in arms but am feeling more sick this time so quietly optimistic. FX for natalie hope you see 2 heartbeats on Monday.

So sorry strawberry, FX for you and the bean x

I am also nervous but feel much more pregnant this time... I have an early scan 2nd March. wishing us both luck with this one and congratulations. smile

cuillereasoupe Wed 20-Feb-13 13:43:17

Haha walnut, you've raised a chuckle here!

Lots of support winging its way to Strawberry.

I'm definitely beginning to feel a bit pukey, though a big plate of chips for lunch seems to have knocked it on the head for the moment.

Thanks walnut for your many messages smile It's quite comforting in a weird way that someone else is on the same timeframe as me although I wish none of us had to deal with mcs cos they're crap! Didn't take us long either, was pg in second cycle of trying- difficult as best friend been trying for a while and was adamant that I didn't keep anything from her so a bit awkward but we're quite open with each other about how we feel so its been ok. No early scan for me, they told me at EPU in jan that when I get pg again I can go in for blood tests etc for reassurance (hormones were too low last time) but DP wants us to wait for 12 week scan as it was so stressful last time- seeing heartbeat then mc next day. I agree with him so gonna just wait it out but am on constant knicker watch... Hungry and nauseous at the same time, never thought I would be happy to feel this way- but back to work next week, I may feel differently then!

Crookie1 Wed 20-Feb-13 14:33:27

Hello ladies, I'd love to join!

I'm 4 weeks today, had a MC last August and so very excited and feeling positive but have the odd stare into space*this could all change fear from time to time.

Not really any symptoms either, one more than normal sensitive nipple and a hint of nausea here and there...feel like i want all the symptoms to feel like the poppyseed is safer!

Crookie1 Wed 20-Feb-13 14:34:16

Oh, D is 30 Oct smile

Crookie1 Wed 20-Feb-13 14:34:34

StrawberryGateaux Wed 20-Feb-13 14:42:00

Umlauf Wed 20-Feb-13 14:42:40

Welcome cookie looks like your edd means this bus is filling up! What a thought!

Reading people's experiences of mc and mmc on this and other threads really hammers it home how frequently it happens and to many people. It's terrifying really and such a toll on the emotions. Sending thanks to you all and lots of hope for these subsequent pregnancies.

I'm really bored. I wish the appointments would start. Have bloods and urine in 1.5 weeks when Ill be 10 weeks, if they flag up any problems do you normally find out straight away?

Rockchick1984 Wed 20-Feb-13 14:42:46

Welcome Crookie!

So sorry Strawberry - I'd definitely ring EPU if the bleeding has got a lot worse. Sending hugs your way.

I've been having painful cramping last night and this morning sad been to the Dr who thinks its nothing to worry about but has referred me to EPU tomorrow, it's not like the stretching cramps I've been getting, they are actually quite sharp. Hoping desperately that everything is ok...

1500mmania Wed 20-Feb-13 14:53:21

Hi everyone can I join? I am due 11th October and I've already got DS who is 16 months - absolutely terrified at the prospect of having two! I've had an ectopic in the past so i've already had an early scan to make sure it was in the right place - another scan next week - hoping there is heartbeat x

Sal1977 Wed 20-Feb-13 15:28:29

Crookie - your DD is 30yrs old? Or 30 months? Haha...that's an amazing age gap if its years!! Xxx

LandsN Wed 20-Feb-13 15:35:39

I read that totally different lol thought it meant due date 30 oct but a 30 year age gap is a long time, my friend who had 6 children told me yesterday she thinks I am mad as I have got a 9 year age gap if everything goes to plan x

cazboldy Wed 20-Feb-13 15:36:35

so sorry strawberry - fingers crossed for you.

I had a little bit of brown spotting last night, and have a kind of dull ache down low in my tummy - not cramps, it's there all the time. Was bad enough tow ake me at 2.30 am sad

I'm really worried, never had this in any of my previous pg. All feelings of queasiness also disappeared. Just have this feeling that something's not quite right, but don't really know what to do......

I have just kind of gotten my head round having another, and now i'm really scared it's not meant to be sad

Am i being over the top?

LandsN Wed 20-Feb-13 15:44:23

No way over the top I would be worried too I would call your midwife and just get checked it can't do any harm I would also rest as much a poss it probably nothing but best to be safe hope all is well xx

Hope you're feeling better caz. Why don't you give your midwife/EPU a ring and see what they say.

Welcome to all the new ladies on the thread.

sambrads Wed 20-Feb-13 16:11:52

Wispa123 Wed 20-Feb-13 17:01:52

Hello ladies! Wow what a lovely thread! You are all very chatty and it's great to discover that I am no alone in early sysmptoms - sore boobs (athough less today than the last 2 weeks thank god!), bloatedness and constant sicky feeling that's hit me hard today. Spent ages wondering around Asda looking for things I culd possibly eat and came up with Pom bears of all things! I keep craving salt and although they don't have much they taste like they do so I'm hoping they will do the trick! So glad I'm off work this week as not sleeping too well. I keep reminding myself that feeling crap is actually a good thing asit hopefully means my body is doing all the right things!

I'm 7+4 with DC1 (is that the right code?! haha!). All still feels very scary and terrified it might all go wrong...roll on 12 weeks! also have first app next week with midwife (no GP referral, is that normal?)

It's all very reassurig to know that there are lovely people on here to share experiences with! Congratulations to everyone!

Hi all!

Great to find this thread as it gives people to talk to! I've had 3 bfp's on home tests but a negative on GP test so now waiting for the results of a second gp test!

I've got ds who will be 3 at the end of June and this one was sort of planned but caught really quickly after coil came out (like next day I think) so it was a bit quicker than we thought.

Going on online due date calculators this bump will be due about 16th October so I thought I'd join you ladies to have people to talk to who are going through same stuff! Symptoms wise got really sore boobs, naeusea on and off and a constant need to pee. Also think I had implantation bleed on 4th and 5th on Feb. Now on half term which is fab as I work full time as a primary teacher in a reception class so needed a break as was exhausted at the end of last week.

Anyway enough gab from me - hope to catch up on all the posts soon xxx

JellyCurls Wed 20-Feb-13 17:34:13

Oh I feel grim. Have been sick 4 times so far today and almost sicked a further 5 or 6 times. Also seriously need a cure for constipation blush have tried water, fruit juice, loads of fruit, exercise and nothing is working. Do you think syrup of figs is ok to take?

Forgot about all these first trimester ails, all cures welcome

Haylebop12 Wed 20-Feb-13 17:42:13

Gosh your all so chatty!

Saw gp yesterday who prescribes me anti sickness. With my history for it I didn't have to beg too hard. Feeling slightly human now as not been sick since yesterday although still incredibly nauseas. Also have had a lot of thick yellow/white discharge yday and today and read its common but has anyone else has this? I'm 6+4.

strawberry so sorry to hear your concerns. Praying everything's ok.

Haylebop12 Wed 20-Feb-13 17:45:06

6+2 sorry!

Sal1977 Wed 20-Feb-13 17:48:36

LandsN - haha, I'm such a knob, just re-read it and of course it's 'due date 30th October' not my darling daughter is 30 in October!! FFS...haha!!

What's with all the cramping and spotting ladies? I'm going in for my early scan tomorrow to see if its a duffer or if the bean is still attached to the string! Fingers crossed its all still ok and the spotting was nothing horrid!

It's blinking horrible though when its happening, I'm on constant knicker watch and permanently feel like AF has just crept up on me!!

LandsN Wed 20-Feb-13 18:03:29

I am so para and am thinking of booking myself in this week just to see if all looks ok last time I had bleeding round the sack which they said was nothing but I am not convinced I just feel like the days are in slow motion I got 3 weeks till I am at that dreaded stage and panicking already sad x

LandsN Wed 20-Feb-13 18:05:33

And sal lol I had to read it a couple of times lmao how far are u I am 5 weeks Friday do u think they will do a scan or am I just wasting my time x

Welcome newbies smile

I have been feeling much less sick which naturally has me worried. I vomited this morning and was a little nauseas for 2 hours but then nothing also not had any sore boobs at all. I am constipated still though.

landN try not worry hun xxx

Just bracing my self for my scan on friday sad

Sal1977 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:31:45

LandsN- I'm 6+4 today and having scan tomorrow as I had some spotting on Saturday. My doctor said that there's no point scanning before 6 weeks as there isn't much to see before then. I think I am prepared for the worst, but it will still be pretty shit if its a duffer.

Why do you feel you need an early scan? Have you had any spotting or bad cramps or pains? Xx

Crookie1 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:35:17

Thanks for the welcomes!

I'm getting concerned because I am getting quite bad pain or discomfort on my left hand side very near my hip. I am 4 weeks today and was wondering if any of you ladies have experienced anything similar?

I hope everything goes well for the other concerned people out there x

Sal1977 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:40:58

I read somewhere that you should take some paracetamol and if that doesn't help the pain, give the dr a call. Also if you have shoulder tip pain (where your arm meets your shoulder) defo call the dr as that could be a sign of eptopic.
I had pains similar to ovulation pains (quite stabby) at 4 weeks which went away in a few days.
Don't panic and try to relax...have a nice bath as that will relax your muscles as well. Xxxx

roofio87 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:42:11

hi everyone and welcome to all our new ladies!!
sorry there seems to be a lot of worrying going on at the moment. hope everyone is doing alright and those waiting scans etc get good results!!
everything is ticking over ok here, still feeling exhausted and nauseous but glad of it really and no bad signs!!
7+1 today so slowly getting there!! first mw app 2 weeks today!!smile

Crookie1 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:51:25

Thanks Sal, no shoulder pains so that's good, think I will just be a bit neurotic until 12 weeks, hard not to after previous MC I think!

Good luck to everyone smile

Sal1977 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:52:07

It's wierd isn't it that its all kicking off suddenly?! apparantly tge largest number if problems arise between 6 and 8 weeks which is where we're at i guess! Problem is it starts everyone else worrying, especially the lack of symptoms thing. In the real world we'd all be quite smug about no morning sickness on here if someone says that they've been told that all your toenails falling out is a guarantee of a healthy baby, we're all willing our toenails to fall out!!! Haha

Sal1977 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:55:15

Sorry about the shoddy spelling and grammar, it's a pet hate of mine, but my fingers are obviously too fat for my phone...which incidentally is a sign of a healthy, blonde, green eyed, 7lb4oz baby that will be born on a Thursday....

roofio87 Wed 20-Feb-13 18:56:38

I know, its so hard not to be paranoid. I keep reminding myself that its far more likely to end in a healthy little baby than not,but still hard to accept!!x

Sanjifair Wed 20-Feb-13 19:05:02

Another worrier here. 6+5. I'm far more worried this time round, last time I managed to block the negative thoughts far easier. Roll on 12 weeks...

cuillereasoupe Wed 20-Feb-13 19:15:28

Oh gawd it's hormones a gogo here. I just cried in my music lesson blush The poor teacher didn't know where to put himself!

Hope everyone is ok and scans go well for all. My nausea comes and goes but isn't too bad really but bloated all the time! It seems like I've already erupted out of jeans!

I'm just wishing gp would hurry up and confirm it so I can then get head round the process and play the waiting game properly rather than worrying that it is all in my head and not real.

Now off to wash dishes and collapse on sofa - probably to fall promptly asleep smile

RainbowsFriend Wed 20-Feb-13 19:44:02

Eurrgh.

Come home each evening and just struggle to stay awake for DD until DP comes home - then he bloody disappears for about 30mins to get chnaged and eat tea. angry I have developed the ability to eat dinner in about 10 seconds since DD was born - why can't he!

I have The Rage as well blush = anyone else suffering from this?

LandsN Wed 20-Feb-13 19:44:21

Think I am just really nervous as last mc is still so fresh in my mind and I don't seem to have any symptoms just really para prob over reacting just can't help feeling its going to go wrong x

candr Wed 20-Feb-13 19:46:43

Crookie, I get pains in same place, almost feels like trapped nerve but I had it last time for first few weeks so don't think that on its own is too much to worry about.
Strawberry - keeping my fingers crossed for you for Tuesday flowers
Am eating whatever I want when I want at the moment incase I get bad ms again and remember turning down cake when I liked food.
Really craved salty crisps last time and went through a few days of eating a tonne of grapes. Plan to batch cook a load of meals to freeze as could not eat if I had to cook food last time (smell was too much) so micro meals was way to go but thought I would do own healthy version.
Good luck to all those having scans soon, a way to go until mine!

HotSoupDumpling Wed 20-Feb-13 20:18:35

Hello all new passengers on the bus!

Rainbow
- YES to having The Rage (had a mini tantrum last night as got really hot in bed and did NOT want a hug!) and
- YES to the frustratingly long time it takes for my DH to slowly potter around when he gets home, remove his shoes as if he has only two (arthritic) fingers on each hand, remove his precious suit and hang it up at glacial speed, potter around some more, then tramp to the table for dinner. Grah!

GettingObsessive Wed 20-Feb-13 21:14:53

I am sure that DH would agree that I have The Rage. Like the few days before my period, but All The Time.

RainbowsFriend Wed 20-Feb-13 21:16:51

Ohh yes, and more intense as well!

Crookie1 Wed 20-Feb-13 21:34:53

Thanks candr, that is really good to hear! smile

cazboldy Wed 20-Feb-13 22:24:30

doctors was completely unhelpful, i know my mw's name, but not how to contact her as not had a booking visit yet, managed to look on the net for a mw out of hours number and spoke to a lovely lady who made me feel so much better smile

she said not to worry unless it turned into cramps or was very painful or there was fresh bleeding. She said might be something, but just as likely not, and to try not to worry - and that perhaps it's nature's way of telling me to slow down a bit [ha ha - 5 kids on half term, and 2 extras sleeping over tonight!!]

anyway - just talking to someone about it made me feel better!!

no more spotting, but pain still there. 8wks today

sweetiepie1979 Thu 21-Feb-13 00:21:45

Hi everyone can I join? It's ok if it's too busy. I'm 6 weeks due the 14th October age 33 gave one dd age 20 months. I' feel really sick and headachy .

Tarlia Thu 21-Feb-13 00:45:28

Wow, I can see the gas isn't limited to the bottom end , ladies ;) Lovely you are all so chatty!!

Welcome newbies, get comfy.

I'm really sorry there is so much worry and upset around. I'm dishing out very unmumsnetty hugs to those who need them.

I'm sorry I cannot address you all, but I can't remember who said what as it's taken me hours of dip reading to get through all the pages. Though walnut how could I forget you, your spamming did make me chuckle.

Try and stay positive, it's really tough, but the more we stress and worry the more pressure we put on our bodies. Goodness, can't win in this game can we.

Good luck with upcoming scans. Nat wowee, twins! Fantastic! Sighing with relief here as that means we've met the twin quota for the month anymore would just be bad lucky. I do know someone with an under 2 that had identical triplets in December, can you imagine shock very very blessed, but all of that work and feeding those hungry tums all at once during the night!?

walnut300 Thu 21-Feb-13 01:49:53

haha I'm glad I made a few of you chuckle!!

a lot of worried ladies on here.. hoping all goes well for evetybody. its hard but we all just have to relax. i live in thailand and on half term so easy for me to pop to beach and for a swim!! I just cant stop peeing and get soooo bloated after my evening meal. I am due 16th October and will be my first! !

Iheartcrunchiebars Thu 21-Feb-13 07:31:45

Wow walnut you lucky thing. Just come back from thailand...in fact that is where my bump was conceived! What a lovely place to live!

LeenHS Thu 21-Feb-13 08:06:02

Hello. Please can I join? 7 weeks with baby number 1. I'm 31. Have next to no symptoms. Trying to feel lucky but it makes me nervous too. Time is also crawling by!! Trying for nine months so it was amazing to get that bfp!

Iheartcrunchiebars Thu 21-Feb-13 08:27:38

Hi Leenhs. We are pregnancy twins! Am also 31, 7 weeks and first baby!

Morning everyone!

If you just copy and paste the stats you can add yourself on newbies smile

I am not really reasurred today sickness still not back im 8 weeks tomorrow and have my scan but not feeling confident sad
I have a uni assignment due today as well when all I want to do is hide!!

Sal1977 Thu 21-Feb-13 09:10:27

I have my scan today Falcon as well, I hope yours goes ok. I have no idea what the outcome will be for mine...confused

Why is time not going quicker!! Bit mer today - also not having many symptoms here - boobs still a bit sore but that could just be because I am squeezing them and prodding them all day to see if they are sore blush. 8+2 today and the rage has subsided, not feeling particularly nauseous, and a bit tired but have a cold. Thing is I can't remember how I felt at this stage last time - I don't think I had many symptoms but all a bit of a blur! Plus haven't had dates for booking in or scan yet. Rahh, rant over.

Welcome and congratulations to all new ladies - there is a list further up thread with names and due dates, think we probably need an update don't we? It's lovely that there are so many of us now, though getting a bit concerned that bubba will arrive at peak time and no midwives around!!

November thread will be starting soon and we won't be at the bottom anymore, yay!!!

Sal, sending positive, sticky thoughts to you!!!

Sorry and falcon (thread moves too quickly!!)

Sal1977 Thu 21-Feb-13 09:17:16

For those with early scans, here are some stats I found to help us worry a little but less....

After heartbeat is detected, risk of miscarriage is 9.4% at 6wks; 4.2% at 7wks; 1.5% at 8wks; 0.5% at 9wks.

So if we flip it a d look at the positives after a heartbeat is found the chances of it all being ok are, 90.6% at 6 weeks, 95.8% at 7 weeks, 98.5% at 8 weeks and 99.5% at 9 weeks.

I'll take those odds!! Xx

Good luck sal mine is tomorrow at 11 I like those odds too

bowlfullofjelly your a wee bit ahead of me but apparently tons of people lose symtoms around 8 weeks not that its making me stop fretting but thought I would let you know xxx

LandsN Thu 21-Feb-13 09:46:03

On the subject of symptoms I have none except slight morning sickness for about 5 mins when I wake up then it goes!! Can this be a bad sign or a good one seeing as my mc in dec I had very painful breasts sickness overly tired this time total opposite?

Feelinghungry Thu 21-Feb-13 10:07:00

Gosh what a busy thread! Room for one more? Am almost 5 weeks, EDD is Oct 25th I think. Starting to have a sickly feeling when hungry that only disappears once I eat only to return a few hours later, v annoying!

LandsN Thu 21-Feb-13 10:10:13

I am due exactly same day feelinghungry I have had no symptoms but after reading up that seems quite normal I am hoping its a good sign x

Rockchick1984 Thu 21-Feb-13 13:08:35

So sorry Delihah

Went for my early scan today due to cramping. All is the right size for dates, definitely only 1 in there! No heartbeat yet but as I'm not quite 6 weeks yet they had told me in advance that it was highly unlikely I'd see one. I have a cyst on my ovary which is apparently very common in early pregnancy, and is probably the cause of my pains (apparently loads of women get them and it'll just shrink then disappear during the first trimester) but thought this would be reassuring for others getting pains as well smile going back in 2 weeks and hopefully all will be fine and we will see the heartbeat.

pinkmoonlight Thu 21-Feb-13 13:12:13

Good news rockchick! smile

Sal1977 Thu 21-Feb-13 13:31:33

So sorry to hear that Strawberry and Delilah. My heart goes out to you. sad

I've just got back from the EPU having had an internal scan. It was amazing and fascinating! All is as it should be and we got to see the heartbeat and it was measured at 4.4mm!! Amazing! She was even able to tell me that the egg came from my left ovary and it was still a little bit swollen which is normal but it may still twinge and ache a bit.

The lovely lovely lady even gave us a picture to take home.

Still very much on knicker watch, but feeling a bit more relaxed knowing that, today at least, everything is as it should be! Phew!!! Xx

Amazing Sal i hope i have good news tomorrow too on the up side my lunch hit the toilet grin

How far along are you sal?

Sal1977 Thu 21-Feb-13 14:01:53

I'm 6+5 today so looking forward to hitting 7 weeks on Saturday! We've got a table booked at the place owned by the masterchef winner Anton, so we'll really be able to enjoy it now. Plan B was to go and get sh*tfaced if the news was bad today!! X

LandsN Thu 21-Feb-13 14:10:09

Great news sal every time I read something like that it gives me a bit more hope x

GettingObsessive Thu 21-Feb-13 14:25:23

Am sitting here on hold - doing my pelvic floor exercises in time to the music. I can tell you that Handel's Water Music is much easier timing-wise than Hall of the Mountain King grin

EuroShaggleton Thu 21-Feb-13 15:00:34

So, so sorry to hear the news from delilah and Strawberry.

I want to have a nap. I haven't really felt tired before, despite awful insomnia. I'm 5+1. Anyone else? Zzzzzz.

cuillereasoupe Thu 21-Feb-13 15:35:20

Yes, me, I'm exhausted. Probably partly due to an early start and less tea than usual as much as anything. Thankfully I'm working from home this afternoon so I'm off to catch some zeds.

cuillereasoupe Thu 21-Feb-13 15:37:07

Also grin at GettingObsessive. I'm learning a wind instrument so I reckon my breathing technique should be world class by October.

Smitten1981 Thu 21-Feb-13 15:40:55

Hi everyone

I'm 5+5, I think I'm due on October 19 (according to my apps). The only symptoms I'm having are really sore boobs, they even hurt when I walk and I feel sick as soon as I wake up but am ok for the rest of the day.

I kind of feel a bit snappy too, worried this will get worse as time goes on - sigh!

So far so good though...

It's nice to have somewhere you can talk about things, as no one really knows yet apart from our parents. xx

Sorry delilah to hear your news - hope it is not too awful and that you get another bfp soon thanks

It terms of me today I feel like crap but that would be because I was up from 4am with dodgy belly and throwing up - not pleasent. So tired definately but thanking small mercies that my ds has been an angel today just happy to play and keep poking me on the sofa asking if I feel better yet!

cuillereasoupe and euro i'm contantly exhausted too - think that is probably main sypmtom here! Got sore boobs but bearable but the tiredness is almost draining me right out.

pinkmoonlight Thu 21-Feb-13 16:13:39

Exhausted here too and I'm not even at work this week. Just fell asleep on the sofa unintentionally and woke with a start as I'm meant to be tidying up! This whole creating another human thing is v tiring grin

ChocoFrog Thu 21-Feb-13 17:13:04

Hi everyone, can I jump on the bus too?

I'm 5+1 and due on Oct 23rd. I'm 36 and have a 3yo DS who will be 4 before this one arrives. Had an ectopic last September which led to surgery and I can't quite relax about this one till I've had a scan to check it's in the right place. Might get an early scan but when I saw dr yesterday she seemed in no hurry.

Not told anyone else yet so is nice to have some lovely ladies I can share any worries with x

roxvox Thu 21-Feb-13 17:14:18

I am with you guys on the tiredness (am 7+2). I feel so utterly exhausted that I seem to be counting down the seconds to 5.30 so I can go home and sleep! I've been like it all day. I went to the loo one of MANY wee trips today in the office toilets and I swear I could've fallen asleep right there. In fact I may actually be asleep on the loo and dreaming I'm typing this.

After my nap I will update you all on my first MW visit yesterday.

Haylebop12 Thu 21-Feb-13 17:25:16

Hi guys, hope everyone's ok. So sorry to hear your news Delilah.

Been signed off work for 3 weeks with vomiting and being admitted just now so on my way to GAU to get some fluids in me. Last time this happened I felt a lot better once I was discharged so I'm seeing it as a possitive. Like the doc said my kidneys won't be functioning properly and during pregnancy you need them to. Will prob be on a lot today to keep myself occupied.

roofio87 Thu 21-Feb-13 17:30:10

Aww Hayleybop sorry you're feeling so rough!! but you're right, you're in the right place now and can get all the fluids and care you need. fingers crossed u get everything sorted asap!!

I'm feeling very sleepy too. I work 3 evenings a week in a very busy youth club and that is killing me at the moment!! but hay ho, all worth it!!

jealous of all you ladies who have seen your beans and their heartbeats, I can't wait till my 12 week scan!!smile

Haylebop12 Thu 21-Feb-13 17:38:19

roofio IME I don't see an early scan as a good thing. Was admitted previously and had scan at 7+4, good hb etc. got to twelve week scan to be told mmc.

Not sure what to so if they offer me one this time... I'm only 6+3. Should a hb be visible at this early gestation?

roofio87 Thu 21-Feb-13 17:44:40

yeah Hayleybop I agree, I wouldn't want an early scan either really. I'm happy to wait the time and hopefully get a good solid scan at 12 weeks!! I'm sure it must be very hard for you after a mmc, but it seems like you have a great mind set about it!!smile

LandsN Thu 21-Feb-13 17:48:12

I had a scan last time at 6+3 and they saw a slow heart beat but they did say it would have only just started beating x

Haylebop12 Thu 21-Feb-13 18:04:40

Did that pregnancy go on I be ok LandN?

I was not going to get a scan especially internal has a small risk associated with it, even mw said but im going crazy with worry so going for scan although should be abdominal as I should be 8 weeks tomorrow. Wether it actually reduces my worry remains to be seen xx

I had early scans with my ds at 8 weeks and 10 weeks as I bled a bit with him although they couldn't find any reason for it. He will be 3years old at the end of June!

Hoping that I won't have that worry this time although it was nice to see him in there early on! At 8 weeks he kinda looked like a mouse and at 10 had a big head in proportion to the rest. By 12 weeks it had all evened out a little.

As I'm 6+1 I'm have way to first landmark and have jsut thrown up a dry cracker and then fancied a bowl of chips which so far are staying down - think morning/evening sickness has now arrived here too grin

LandsN Thu 21-Feb-13 18:15:00

Unfortunately not but I don't get past 9 weeks have not the last 3 times but had early scans with my 2 dc's and they are perfect x

ChocoFrog Thu 21-Feb-13 19:30:17

I'm not too fussed about having the early scan either as think I'll end up worrying more! I'm just hoping that as I have none of the symptoms I had with my ectopic it's all going well. Having said that, apart from sore boobs, I don't have any other symptoms at all. Not that I wish for the nausea I had the first time round but it would at least convince me it was all real. smile

LandsN Thu 21-Feb-13 19:37:10

That's how I feel choco I feel a bit like I am making it all up or the 4 test I done were wrong as I have no symptoms think that's why I feel a bit paranoid silly eh x

ChocoFrog Thu 21-Feb-13 19:48:37

smile That's exactly how I feel LandsN. Like what if I'm just imagining it all and the tests were faulty etc. But then who would wish for feeling sick and knackered? Just in limbo at the mo wanting to be excited but not wanting to get ahead of myself either. Thought I worried lots the first time round but was blissfully ignorant of most things then. Knowledge is not helpful for your sanity!

LandsN Thu 21-Feb-13 20:10:49

Definitely not i read things then think I wish I hadn't but sill read more its a bit like a obsession ATM lol x

So sorry Delilah and still keeping fingers crossed for everyone else as seems to be lots of sickness and stress - so hard not to worry isn't it. Was not going to tell people but will have to tell mum friends as I keep rushing off and don't want them to think I am sick and may pass bugs to their LO. There is also a lot of chicken pox and scarlet feaver doing the rounds here so want to avoid that if poss.

Ugh getting fed up of the nasuea, the only thing that stops it is eating and it is so hard to believe it sometimes!

However like it because at 6+5 at least i still believe i am pregnant.

We have a holiday booked at Easter 31st March which will be my week 12 it was there before the bean so my feelings are i will go and at least i can feel sick in style!

thanks to Delilah, very sad, hope the future holds whatever you want it too

I'm so sorry for those of you going through loses at the moment sad Be kind to yourselves wine flowers

Anyone found a wonderful MS cure? I didn't find it last time and doesn't look like I will this time either. I'm at the stage where I'm on the edge and wish I could just BE sick to get it out!

PseudoBadger Thu 21-Feb-13 21:31:54

6 weeks tomorrow, still no symptoms (except tiredness!) but nothing to indicate I'm not pregnant either.

roxvox Thu 21-Feb-13 21:33:02

Evening all. Hope you're all doing well? I am shattered today. Not sure if I am going to get through work tomorrow but short of telling my boss the truth I am not sure what to do!

Anyone else constantly hungry? But when I eat I cannot manage very much at all before I feel stuffed!

Had our first MW appt yesterday, not at all what I expected. No blood test/urine test/blood pressure/chat about history etc. We just went through what not to eat, she told me not to worry because there's no reason to believe that everything going on in there isn't going well. Then she asked to visit us at home next weekend for a cup of coffee. Quite strange I thought, but nice! I'm guessing that's when we'll talk about family history. Also got my bounty bag with loads of info in it.

The midwife said that I won't be entitled to a scan until 12 weeks (still no dates set for the scan yet unfortunately) which is fine based on what you are all saying about early scans. I will just have to hope that everything is going ok in there.

Sorry to read that so many of you have bad morning sickness. I hope you're all feeling a bit better tomorrow!

Sorry for the long post... I have been saving it up all day for when I knew I wouldn't fall asleep typing it!

Night everyone smile

I am going to look forward to scan tomorrow at least things will be clearer for me. I am sick as a dog tonight so that's good I suppose?? I will let you all know good or bad! least my chance on M/C will be only 1.5% if all is well. I think I will be totally amazed if there is a baby in there!!

Ladies with no symptoms don't threat last time I has none till 8 weeks. Ur really not missing anything.

I tried loads for MS last time. Those bracelets , ginger tea, peppermint tea. Ginger biscuits, sweets, salty. Nothing worked.
I then happened to have mcD strawberry milkshake which I kept down n fries. Although coincided with starting the meds! This time gone straight for meds.

Prob with meds is tho makes u sleepy, which being preg u already r! Lucky DH has had a few days off.

cherrycherry41 Fri 22-Feb-13 03:31:51

Evening all.
Just updating to let you know/warn you...
I am currently in hospital suffering from Salmonella food poisioning from undercooked egg. Am hooked up to my 3rd drip to try and keep some fluids in and my diahrrea is pure blood...
Im on mc watch tonight, seems to be affecting little bean sad
Will let you all know what happens.
Dippy egg is so not worth it! sad

walnut300 Fri 22-Feb-13 05:11:18

thinking of you cherry and hope u and bean will be ok. take care

LandsN Fri 22-Feb-13 05:57:13

Omg cherry that's awful I hope u are both ok

Haylebop12 Fri 22-Feb-13 06:19:23

Thinking of you cherry but your in the right place.

I'm on my fourth drip in 12 hours. They rushed the first two through extremely quickly. Had anti sickness trough drip at about 10:30 last night and just through up all the water I had sipped in that time so I'm having another dose. Rough as toast!

ginger I think all those things only work if you just get the nausea. Don't think there's much you can do for the actual vomiting to be honest.

I always wanted three children but I've had this now in all 3 pregnancies. I'm starting to rethink.

Had a bit of a wobble yesterday as I went through all this last time with now end result. What if I'm doing it all again for nothing?!

Haylebop12 Fri 22-Feb-13 06:20:04

No* end result...

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 22-Feb-13 06:47:10

Oh no cherry I hope you are ok.

Natalieand Fri 22-Feb-13 06:52:36

So sorry to hear your news delilah

Hope everything works out for you cherry
Good luck too all of those having scans today! Will keep my FX for u.xxx

Feeling very sorry for myself this morning. Have a bad ear infection and from what I can tell from previous experience I also have tonsilitis! I feel like absolute death! I'm hoping the doctor can prescribe me something that won't effect the pregnancy boooooohooooo :-( xx

HotSoupDumpling Fri 22-Feb-13 07:51:41

Thinking of you Delilah and Cherry and wishing you lots of luck for your individual situations.

Haylebop, that sounds really rough. But glad that it sounds like you are being looked after. Sending lots of optimistic thoughts your way! We all have to hope and hope that it will all be okay in the end.

Haylebop12 Fri 22-Feb-13 07:59:30

They're scanning me later to check for mutiple pregnancy, Scared.com!

Umlauf Fri 22-Feb-13 08:07:30

Hi everyone, so sorry to hear the bad news and thinking of you cherry delilah and hayle. I had my first actual vomit today, it was in the middle of a one-to-one class with an executive, so mortifying! I had to come clean and explain why and he was lovely and said he suspected! How many others suspect I wonder?!

Bit upset about the state of his office!

HotSoupDumpling Fri 22-Feb-13 08:09:40

Good luck!

Euro, I forgot to thank you for your comment way up-thread on how best to tell friends who may be TTCing. Will take your advice if, fingers crossed, we reach that point.

Am sicky as always, but finding that bran flakes scoffed in bed just after waking up makes me feel a bit less monstrous.

So i am up and a nervous wreck i really dont want bad news not sure i wont lose all the plot if it is (have a history of not coping when i get crappy news)

I should be thinking positive i have been have ms and no blood or bad cramping but its like my brain wont let me see a good outcome sad lets hope its just because of previous m/c

I know i have never been this far along and m/c before and my body seems might efficient at working when it needs too so i am confident i wont have mmc.

I know im rambling on

cherry poor you at least your in the right place I hope you and bean recover well xx

haylebop glad you are getting sorted, oooh twins exciting xx

Thank you everyone for you kind well wishes smile

Haylebop12 Fri 22-Feb-13 08:16:48

To he honest in a way twins would be good as I want three but def cbr I through pregnancy again! THey did this last time I was admitted but only one hb. Good luck today falcon

cazboldy Fri 22-Feb-13 08:32:06

sorry to hear some bad news for some sad

really hope you feel better soon cherry and hayle

well, told the eldest 3 dc yesterday and got ok responses..... then ds1 blurted it out in front of my dsis who was round for dinner. She is telling my dad today (mum's away on a break at the moment with the little boy they foster)

I know it's a cop out, and feel bad for not telling him myself, but just can't sad she told them for me last time too!!

It's all linked to the awful reaction when telling them about ds1 all those years ago - understandably they were cross..... I was 14! but it's all turned out ok! smile

The thing is they have never been happy about any of the other's either - and it's not like i ask for much help - they babysit maybe 2x a year at most!!

sorry to go on, and at 31 I shouldn't be worrying so much about what my parents are going to say, but it's (obviously)!! a bit of an issue for me!

Good Luck for any ladies having scans today smile

Oh and the really nice mw rang back and said she had looked at some of my history, and she thinks the most likely explanation for my pain, and spotting was cysts on my ovaries dispersing - it has reassured me immensely! smile

sorry for the mammoth post x

roofio87 Fri 22-Feb-13 08:42:30

Hayleybop sorry nothing at the hospital seems to be helping so far, really hope you start feeling better soon!!
cherry hope you're feeling ok too and the bean is ok. I know u have to be careful with eggs in pregnancy but you don't really think it will happen!! do u live in UK? was it definitely eggs? I thought they were very hard to get salmonella from these days? I will defo be avoiding now.
caz it must be hard getting a negative reaction from your parents, but you're right,if you cope with dc1 at 14 then you're more than equipped to cope with another at 31. as long as you and your partner are happy then try not to worry (easier said than done I know!!)
sending lots of hugs and positive vibes out to all he ladies out there!smile smile smile smile smile

Sephy Fri 22-Feb-13 08:59:12

Not a lot to add from me to what's already been said, but thinking of all going through tough times at the moment. Those of you in hospital, at least you're being looked after, hope they're making you as comfortable as possible.

Still no sickness for me, but continued difficulties in going to the toilet, waking up with dreadful tummy aches etc. anyone know if normal bowel function returns some time after end of pregnancy or am I now stuck like this for life!?

Haylebop12 Fri 22-Feb-13 09:08:06

Waiting for y scan. Eeek

Sephy Fri 22-Feb-13 09:09:48

Ooh hayle, hope goes well xx

Rockchick1984 Fri 22-Feb-13 09:11:44

Cherry hope you're feeling better soon, and that pregnancy is all ok after this scare.

Roofio lion mark stamped eggs are fine to eat runny as they are vaccinated against salmonella, but ones without this (eg from local supplier) aren't so you need to make sure they are fully cooked. Hope that helps smile

Rockchick1984 Fri 22-Feb-13 09:12:57

Good luck Hayle!!

roofio87 Fri 22-Feb-13 09:16:55

thank you Rockchick I thought that was the rule. that being said I've been having my eggs well cooked anyway just to be safe!!

pinkbuttons Fri 22-Feb-13 09:19:57

so sorry to hear those people who are in hospital! Its horrible but am glad your all getting the best care possible. Makes me feel bad for moaning about sickness
Also good luck for everyone with scans today!
Hope all goes well.

Im so sorry to read strawberry and delilahs news. I hope you both have some good news soon.

pinkbuttons Fri 22-Feb-13 09:21:45

ooh good luck hayle!! cross posted sorry

Haylebop12 Fri 22-Feb-13 09:28:55

Thanks for all your good luck ladies. They're being slow. Doc didn't put request on system or something daft. More waiting...... Grrrr

Haylebop12 Fri 22-Feb-13 09:40:29

Only one baby here, sorry to disappoint! Measuring 6 ish weeks which is about right. i should be 6+3 lthough she said it can't be too accurate this early on. And a tiny pulse. So pleased but still not out the danger zone! Roll on 12 weeks!

Sending you lots of luck falcon

Hi ladies. Sorry for rambling post...
Ive just started bleeding (v red discharge) this morning. Cant tell DH as we have to drive 3 hours home and no point him not driving safely. Hope its okay but just dont know. Leaving now and not sure how I'll get through the journey sad

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 22-Feb-13 09:47:28

So sorry Mrsaflowerpot. Hope you are ok.

roofio87 Fri 22-Feb-13 09:54:00

sorry flowerpot are you sure you don't want to tell ur dh? don't sit there worrying by yourself x

pinkbuttons Fri 22-Feb-13 09:55:15

oh no mrsflowerpot Hope your ok. are you going to call dr/midwife when your home? hopefully will have stopped by then.
Glad all is well hayle even with 1 bean in there.

Thank you lovely ladies. It's quite a difficult journey - country roads then long stretch of M1 and snowing a tiny bit here so think it's best I just keep quiet for now. Have had such a lovely few days away with DH and DD sad

I will call the GP pinkbuttons. I had similar at the same time with DD and thankfully all fine obviously with her - but also had mcs pre and post her.

HotSoupDumpling Fri 22-Feb-13 10:18:36

Good luck flowerpot. Fingers crossed for you.

Feelinghungry Fri 22-Feb-13 10:19:19

Ladies so much sickness and worry on here since i last looked sad.
Cherry you poor thing, what a scare I really hope you and your bean are ok.
Hope all goes well with the scan Falcon.
And MrsFlowerpot big Fx for you, Spotting does happen but I guess it is the not knowing and the 3 hour drive to get through. Please keep us updated

5 weeks today for me and still waiting for some more signs that I am actually pregnant! I heard so much about the tiredness; when did this actually kick in for some of you? xx

KoalaFace Fri 22-Feb-13 10:51:34

Hi everyone! I'm so pleased to have found you. Mumsnet was a godsend when I was pregnant with DS who is now 2.5.

I'm 27 and due 15th October so I'm 6 weeks.

Was sick as a dog with DS right from the start and not been too bad at all this time so far so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a different kind of pregnancy. I have been completely exhausted though. Have any of you experienced totally different pregnancies?

I've had a read through about you ladies and my fingers are crossed for you all, especially those in hospital and MrsFlowerPot who must be feeling anxious right now. Sending lots of positive thoughts.

studentvera Fri 22-Feb-13 10:54:15

Hi girls
Am 8 weeks today and so nervous! I have no sickness and my boobs no longer hurt. They were killing me - should I be worried I have no symptoms at 8 weeks?

Natalieand Fri 22-Feb-13 10:57:43

Natalieand Fri 22-Feb-13 11:05:08

Macdonalds for lunch!!! Grrrr why did it post it before I had finished typing xx

delilahbelle Fri 22-Feb-13 11:24:19

Can I come back?

Had my scan, and despite fearing the worst I'm still pregnant. And with TWINS to boot.
Saw the two heartbeats, and their measurements agreed with my dates of 6+2

In shock, I had really quite bad cramps and a lot of red blood yesterday, the sonographer said from a SCH that she measured next to one of the twins.

shock

HotSoupDumpling Fri 22-Feb-13 11:32:33

YAY Delilah! thanks TWINS!

pinkbuttons Fri 22-Feb-13 11:32:57

delilahbelle Fri 22-Feb-13 11:49:36
