Hey hun!!! Long time no see! No ms yet. Feeling massively hungry and tired all the time. Boobs extra sore, having to sleep with sports bra!
Currently alternating between fear of mc and fear of ectopic. Lovely.
How are you? How is your ms?

Wish my ms would just do one. But the anti-sickness meds work most of the time, unfortunately they make me sleepy which doesn't help the feeling knackered all the time

I can't help but panic. But hopefully after the next two weeks I will get calmer!

hello there and congrats, we chatted in the mc thread after my mc in August, I think my nn was pedantic. I'm 15+4, have had my scan and there's a happy bouncy little baby in there. How far along are you?

I only found out I'm pg last week. I'm 5 weeks today and driving myself up the wall.

That's so great belissima, will you be having an early scan? I waited until my 12 wk scan and was so nervous, but then when I had it I was told I could have had an early scan done at the EPU instead of worrying all that time.

I haven't decided yet re early scan. I will speak to doctor tomorrow and see what she says. At the moment I'm not keen on having a private one but if they refer me then why not!
Why did they say you could have had one? Because you had a mc before?

Yes it was because of the previous mc. I had no idea that I could have had it otherwise I'd have taken it.

I had that fear too...think it was the corpus luteum though. Or ovary you ovulated from.

Scan is a week tomorrow. Can't wait. Need to know it is all ok.

Try not to worry too much (do as I say, not as I do!). Worrying is very normal though.

I have days where I really don't feel pregnant and panic. Then it all comes back later / the next day. Pregnancy is just inconsistent! Which doesn't help us ladies. :-/

Congratulations LoL yay I had sore boobs and extreme hunger and things so far are good so I would say you're showing positive signs! However, because of my little ectopic scare at the start I worry all the time and DH is trying failing to wean me off the Doppler so I completely understand how you must be feeling. I know a mc experience is a lot worse then what I went through so I think you're doing very well so far. Give yourself a pat :-) I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and have a reassurance scan on Wednesday which I'm very much looking forward to...2 more sleeps!

Mockingbird have you had a name change? I don't remember your name :-( but to be honest baby brain has seriously kicked in recently so I'm forgetting a lot of names!

Hey pear! I knew it was a good move to get chatting to you guys again. I feel better already.
Well I'm at the doc and she referred me to the EPU because of the mc and also because I'm having some ovary pain. I'm terrified but I suppose its a good thing.
Pear how far gone were you when you had that scare? Could they see anything in the scan?

It was my left ovary that had a little harmless cyst on it that caused me pain from week 1-6. The sonographer said it would sort it self out which I think it did because the annoying nagging pain stopped. It wasn't a breathtaking pain but it did worry me. At scan 1 I was 3 weeks pregnant (1 in real life) and saw a black shadow where the yolk was forming. At 6 weeks we saw a sac with yolk. At 8 weeks we saw a sac with a wriggly worm which was the embryo and at 12 weeks we saw baby with hands and feet. If you google scan at 5 weeks you will be able to see what it might look like. That's what I did

Had the scan and all looks normal for 5 weeks
They will rescan me in 10 days to check progress. I'm so relieved!
I have a cyst on right ovary despite pain on left. They said its the stretching!
How are you all today? Are you over MS yet?

My MS appears at all times of day / night. Threw up just before leaving work! I'm a classy bird. :-)

It hasn't been awful though, just a touch annoying. I'm very good at throwing up and moving on as I'm normally too busy to dwell on it! My sister thinks it's hilarious that I'm comforted by sick though, as I like to know the hcg is running round my system.

Are you ill yet? Mind started at about 6 weeks with just all day nausea. Took another week or so to actually be sick!

I've not felt sick. Been so hungry an eating like a horse!
I'm relieved its not ectopic. One positive step forward.
Oh pear I can see myself being like you on the worry side. DH won't let me buy a Doppler though which is probably a good thing lol.
How many weeks are you panda? Can't remember your new name!?

I'm the same pear, every time I get some ligament pain I panic. I've felt small flutters though so hopefully I'll start to really feel the baby move about and will stop worrying so much. I thought about getting a Doppler but it would probably make me more paranoid if I'm constantly checking so decided against it.

Belissima I'm 14+5 now and get to find out the gender in January the pregnancy itself has been tough though. I had awful ms and was ill for the whole of the first trimester, the pregnancy has made me anemic too and I have pelvic girdle pain so walking, sitting, lying down (or anything really!) is painful. A tumour on my kidney was also picked up on a scan in the first weeks of pregnancy and the consultant said that pg causes tumours to grow so that's causing problems too. But I'm still so happy to be pregnant and can't wait to hold my baby.

Yep lol same thing, but mine is less severe, but I think I got on the meds early enough before it got too bad. (But having had 2 before and being on here I think I knew it wasn't right, ms shouldn't stop you functioning, and I wasn't function properly, luckily I had a sympathetic dr who didn't let it get really bad before prescribing something for it.

Frus do you have to take these meds throughout pregnancy? Does it ever end? Must be a nightmare.

Pear hasn't been sick, Lol. And mine isn't that bad. Could be far worse! I find it reassuring though. But I'm weird!

Just as long as the sickness lasts lol which isn't yet. As I still feel nauseous if I take them late. Fx it ends before 20wks.

No sickness from me. Most of my friends haven't had ms and have had healthy babies so it doesn't worry me now I'm not even sure if its genetic. MIL had no ms with DH but my mum had bad ms with all her children.

Girls how many people have you told before the 12 week mark?
I told my mum who lives abroad (sent her photo of test!) and my 2 closest friends. I also told my SIL who I love and had to tell my boss yesterday due to scan. We plan to tell DH parents at Xmas if all is well.
Also doc said I had to tell my dance teacher. I told her today and she wants me to take a break from classes until January. I'm gutted cause I was supposed to have a medal exam in 2 weeks but I need to follow her advice.

I've told a fair few people, actually...easily into double figures. Just have to hope it remains ok, I suppose.

Scan a week today, so at least I'll know. My bump is planning to take over the world and keeps growing, so I'm assuming the baby is still growing!

How are you hiding bump at work?! I wear a uniform and it will be hard! Can't start on the maternity line until its all out.

Badly! Tight shows it but baggy accentuates what I'm hiding! :-/

Lol before the 12 week mark only my mother new and then at 10 weeks my parents in law and one of my sisters knew. Everyone else found out between week 12-16. As of yesterday everyone close to us knows!

Two girls in my branch have already clocked on. I've only got myself to blame really with a reputation for loving the booze and am not drinking at 3 work Xmas parties! There is only so much antibiotics one can be prescribed!

Women clock on really easily too! Not much you can do, sadly :-/

Before 12wks only dp's uncle knew as he's s doctor and he thought my doctors were incompetent for not giving me an MRI so we had to tell him they couldn't because I was pg.

How exciting! Midwife app on 21st dec and scan on 22bd jan! Getting a little bit excited.

Hi lol I'm good. Don't you worry about me. My eye sight has gone dodgy, so coming on my phone makes me feel sick. (Perfectly normal for me in pregnancy, they stop focusing, which makes me feel dizzy and sick to read,)

Has work Xmas do last night and had to fully describe the symptoms of my fake kidney infection! Bearing in mind they all know about my mc I reckon they clocked on. But hey.
5 days until scan. Last time I started bleeding around now. I'm so scared.

Measuring 12+5 at 12+2, so not bad. New EDD of 20th June.

Yay! Nice one lol yes is normal for dates to change slightly depending on completion of implantation. (Mine jumped forwards 3 days, but they can go either way)

So could it be that I had smiley on sat and ovd on wed only?!! That's quite a few days. Does it mean I'm having a girl?

I think it's between dtd, the egg being fertilised, and the egg implanting. (I think implantation can take 3-7 days, so it's like the difference between getting a bfp on 10dpo or 14dpo)
No idea as to the sex.
