Where's the April thread gone??

(255 Posts)
Can someone put a link to it for some reason i cannot find it!!
Toady this is my 4th birth child and I have only just began to feel definate movements. I am 20 weeks tommorow. With DS3 I was feeling him really early. So I was a bit worried when it took so long with this one but they are all different.

Feeling a bit anxious at the moment generally. Having a bit of work done in the house and the dust is freaking me out. I dont cope well with dust (long story). Also have to do repeat urine test. There were nitrates in my last one although I dont have any other sypmptoms of UTI. The thing I cope with worse than dust is medical jiggery pokery! I am drinking gallons of water in the hope I will clear any lurking nasties.

Scan on Weds. Getting nervy as midwife commented that baby was a bit small when I saw her (drop in) on Monday. Now I am worrying they will tell me something awful on Weds and I will be catapulted into all sorts of hospital type things sad

I am also worried that they wont be able to tell me the sex of the baby for some reason. I really need to know.

I am a right old bundle of neurosis at the moment blush

Toady Remember every baby is different and it's not uncommon to feel nothing until 22 weeks.

Adding to the craving question, mine are grapefruit juice hmm and choclate Nesquick - though thankfully not together. smile

I feel huge too, though I've only put on 12lbs (22.5weeks) which my book tells me is about spot on. I put on almost 4 stone shock with my DD, so I'm keen not to repreat that experience.

Is anyone else suffering with heartburn?

Had my scan this week - looks like yet another boy (for the list, it's my first). Still getting used to the idea but DH seems very happy. Got given champagne by my dad to celebrate ok anomaly scan - felt very naughty drinking it but boy did it taste nice grin (and the baby was happily kicking away during the night afterwards which made me feel better). Going to visit inlaws this weekend - am expecting much excitement there too, next week is going to feel rather flat I fear.

Hi everyone, hope everybody is doing well, have been reading all your news, just not had much time to post lately.

Am coming up to 18 weeks, (17 weeks according to my dates) and not had any movement yet, am trying not to worry yet as cannot really remember when I felt the previous three move. Anyone else the same?? Just need a little bit of reassurance.

thighs my bump is humungous. I'm out of pair #1 of maternity jeans and into pair #2. Just this morning i thought "how can this be only 18 weeks?".

Like you its so far just boobers and bump but I feel like people might be thinking i'm going to have a giant baby!
DP insists I looked like this last time though and DS was a weeny 6lb 2, so maybe we just put all the bulk on early?

The only downside is that my legs are constantly aching and painful, I have one really bad varicosed leg which looks like a road map angry but the other is normal!?!
I don't think i'm mean't to be this heavy - i'm no skinny minnie but my legs most certainly do not appreciate pregnancy weight!

lineky well done! I think about it all the time and i know its hard to resist but quite fun all the same!

Hi all, just back from sacn and resisted the temptation to find out the sex. I have to go back for another one next week as sproglet was not very cooperative and they couldn't see face or all of placenta to get all the measurements done - what they could see was all hunky dory though. Can't say I am disappointed having to go back - I get to see bub again!
Hi all,

Sorry to have not been around, I've been suffering these insane migranes and been not very with it. Anyway, they seem to have passed now. Doctor gave me some very strong (but safe!) tablets and they worked well.

Is anyone else MASSIVE??? I think it must be because this is second time around for me but I'm very worried I'm too big. It's not all over, just in the bump but we have SO long to go.

My scan is next week on Wednesday. Not sure if we will find out..

Have a lovely weekend, I'm going to Manchester to visit friends which I'm very happy about.
After having my whole belly covered in gel, I am please to report that I am adding to the blue side!!!!
dollhouse with so many boys on this thread, we def need more girls!! I was hoping it would be me but nope...
we went three so maybe the next one (already planning OPKs, "girls diet" and other obscure old wives methods!!)
DP is a bit disappointed but we are happy nonetheless. baby is perfectly fine as far as they could tell too!

ilovesprout have added you DD

Dwayne The grant has been around for a while but of course they don't advertise it... £190 should come in handy especially to buy some new maternity clothes grin

Being 40 for me is not a problem at all but being 40 and carrying a baby makes me worry. I know I shouldn't but your placed in a high risk group and goush it just makes you worry. I will feel better once next week scan comes and goes and everything is fine.

I wish I had taken your take on not getting the Down's test although everything is fine it wasn't a great number. I am not sure what the triple test is and whether I will be having it. I have a scan next week to check for anomlies (sorry for the spelling!). Depending on what they see we may go private for more scans if necessary. I already suffered two miscarriages so do not want to go for invasive tests as I don't want to lose this one. I have a DD aged 3 and last time round I had so much more energy! Just so glad that I am carrying over the winter months as the summer would have been so unbearable.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
