November 2013 - Thread 3 - The Loo Huggers and Crisp Lickers!

Thread 3 already? We talk too much!!

Hello you lot!

Just back from fighting 4ft snow drifts to see to my horse so knackered! Feel ok today - just a funny taste in my mouth. O and the constipation seems to have eased (thank f!) lol

Hi to newbies

notsoold Fri 22-Mar-13 17:41:01

Slippy...hi there!!! I feel the same smile

suprisepitstop Fri 22-Mar-13 17:43:38

Hi ladies! I didnt end up posting at all on thread two, it moved so fast, that by the time I read all of the catch ups I didnt have time to write myself. Will try harder.
Its so great to be able to read everyone elses experiences, you dont feel so alone, as lets be honest OHs are great, but have limited amounts of interest in chat about knackeredness, sore boobs, crisp licking etc, whilst I can talk about that sort of thing for ages!
I am still getting crampy and nausea, but 8 weeks tomorrow, so it does feel like things are progressing. I do miss casual nights out over a bottle of wine immensely immensely though - I know I can still go out, but its not the same - actually if Im totally honest, the morning sickness seems to hit in the evening, and Im heaving away on the sofa and in bed by 9. Tomorrow night some friends have booked a table at a restaurant I normally love - for 8.30. Not sure how that is going to work for me, suspect I wont be the life and soul of the party!
Im going to put myself back on the list too

Oww I wanna be on the list but have no idea when my due date is yet!! I could be anywhere between 7 and 9 weeks! Most likely somewhere in the middle but won't know for sure until the scan! sad

suprisepitstop Fri 22-Mar-13 18:01:47

Pick a middle date, you can always change it. I think a lot of changes will happen after the dating scans

louby86 Fri 22-Mar-13 18:13:28

Hello new thread waves and hello and congratulations to new joiners.

I'm married so names is thought because my surname went with quite a lot whereas it's a bit harder with my DH's. We do have our girls name though (for now, at least).

Icing - I'd be so angry, I can't believe some people think there's nothing wrong with doing stuff like that!

Theicingontop Fri 22-Mar-13 18:32:37

Lol the scan idea is great, but everyone knows what she's like so it'll come as no surprise. She has form for gossiping about really quite personal stuff her friends are going through.

Actually I think I'll just tell her I miscarried last year which is why I hadn't hastened to tell her my news, and she should be bloody ashamed of herself, and if I miscarry she can be the one to go and bloody tell everyone. Maybe she'll regret being such a nosy bitch and think twice next time angry

But I'm not going to dwell. <deep breath>

My sickness has all but gone thankfully, and has replaced itself with a ferocious appetite (at least today) finding myself wanting hot chips with loads of salt and vinegar! Sorry for those who're getting sick now. It's so draining. I don't think I'll be able to face the smell of mexican food for a while yet.

I wonder what the ratio to boys and girls will be on this thread??

berrybomb Fri 22-Mar-13 18:34:37

hello again all...I have been lurking and enjoying reading what everyone's going through. Very comforting knowing you are all in the same boat!

On the surname front, baby will get DPs surname, even though mine is much nicer!! I will also take his surname when if we get married.

I'm shattered after working all week, so planning a very lazy weekend. DP is away, so I might not even get out of my PJs tomorrow!

Hi slippysnow and notsoold, I also have a late oct EDD. I got on this bus simply because I came off the march conception bus, and this seems to be the new antenatal bus. Not very logical isn't it, especially given I joined this one on the end of thread 2! But the nice ladies here doesn't seem to mind me here. biscuit as we can't have wine

I'm more likely to have an early birth as DD was born at 37 weeks.

honey86 Fri 22-Mar-13 19:06:23

nooo my daughters suddenly covered in chickenpox ! shock

Theicingontop Fri 22-Mar-13 19:13:59

Are you immune, honey? Are there rules about pregnant women and chickenpox, or is that german measles?? Your poor DD sad.

honey86 Fri 22-Mar-13 19:25:30

i dunno, i rang mum and she said she cant remember if ive had it or not.. aw gawd, slightly worried now...
poor things so hot sad x

Added myself to the list again as I seem to have fallen off. I have guessed at an EDD and will have to edit when I have the dating scan.

Hi all and welcome to the newbies!

Honey Hope she feels better soon.

getoffthecoffeetable Fri 22-Mar-13 19:57:30

icing you've inspired me, we're now having homemade chips and fish cakes for tea, just wish it'd hurry up and cook now!

JBrd Fri 22-Mar-13 20:00:40

getoffthecoffeetable Fri 22-Mar-13 20:01:22

honey hope that your little one us feeling better soon. Hugs

Mistyshore Fri 22-Mar-13 20:04:31

honey you need to go for a blood test to check immunity. I had my test today and get the results next week (my friend's dd has the pox and I was cuddling her last weekend). I've got the scars so I know I had it as a child but GP wanted me tested anyway as you can lose your immunity. I was told not to panic though as they can give you treatment if they know early and we're less at risk at this stage to complications.

TiredFeet Fri 22-Mar-13 20:18:32

a third thread already! you lot talk a lot grin

icing I can't believe your SIL did that, I would be beyond furious.

off to enjoy my last night of cheesy girly films / tv before DH gets home and steals the remote! I have decided that being pregnant is a damn good excuse to be lazy for a change smile

maybe silly but I'm getting nervous that I haven't started being sick yet, I swear I was by this stage last time.

pegster Fri 22-Mar-13 20:25:23

Wow, third thread already, I can't keep up, I've missed lots of gossip!
Went to the midwives early pregnancy group meeting today, didn't stay long as DS was running about causing chaos and there were lots of serious first timers desperately listening to every word. Handed in my forms requesting ELCS & got my proper booking in appt - not til the 17th April so I'll be 11w4d by then, feels like ages hmm

honey86 Fri 22-Mar-13 20:59:28

waitin on a phone call from out of hrs doc t see wat they say...
poor dd seems to have a few more each time i check her theyre spreading quick... with ds he was 10 months and i took his babygro off to change him and he was covered head to toe. he didnt even have a speck on him night before it happens so quick. poor girls already got her kidney problem to contend with, which is what she needs to go to addenbrookes for..

and now she misses ballet in the morning, shes gonna be so grumpy tomorrow lol x
