Congrats mummytobe although shame things were made so difficult for you. I have separated stomach muscles from this pg - apparently 1/3 of women get it with their first and its more common with your 2nd pg/twins etc. The vast majority of women find it resolves by 6-12wks post-partum. Gentle exercises & not straining your muscles (I.e. no heavy lifting) help. Your MW might have a factsheet on it.
Good luck for tomorrow Clarella.

I was in two minds, just like you. But I had pretty much settled on going ahead on the Tuesday (the day after he was born)

George Cosmo born at 16:07 by emergency section - but guess what! started going into labour on way to hospital!
However the trace showed he wasn't too happy after some of the contractions so they broke waters and labour really kicked in, then they decided to see if drip sped things up - it was 50/50 for an hour over normal or sect (during which time I had a ball with gas and air and actually chose epidural cos I was so hammered, though the anesthetist really cracked me up and I had to hide my eyes while he gave the speil) but then it had to be section. He's gorgeous though - oddly skinny so needs top up feeds for a few days here but great on the boob and bottle!

Huge congratulations Clarella! How funny that labour started on your way in! It sounds tough going for a while - very glad to hear all is well now. Hope the little man bulks up quickly and you recover equally quickly from your section. Love the name George. Gregory might have been a George if he didn't have a cousin called Georgina.

Congratulations Clarella. Look after your tummy for the next few days - the less you do the faster you heal so just potter around the ward.
