Hiiii

Thanks for the new thread klou!

How are we all today?

How are you getting on with Sophie madkatz

My friend has been today and cut my hair. She brought her little girl with her, she's 3 months old and so gorgeous. Joshua is having a whingy/sleepy day. Usually he is awake and happy but today he's either sleeping, feeding or whinging. Not really been awake much.
2nd day with nick back at work too, v wierd just being me and Joshua.

KLou111 Tue 18-Oct-11 18:36:09

Ah, nice you have a friend with a baby iwish bet you could see a big difference between the 2 of them.
Hope you managed ok on your own.

Euan is now in 3-6 sleepsuits and vests, very scary!!

KLou111 Tue 18-Oct-11 18:38:59

Oh, did you get a foot muff for your pram, need to get one but nit sure which fits, will have to have a look.

lizandlulu Tue 18-Oct-11 18:51:25

i have put violet in 3-6 too. some sleepsuits fit but are starting to get abit small now
and shes started wearing 3-6 clothes too.

shes been for her second lot of injections today. bless her she screamed and dropped her lipsad but been ok since

Iwish Tue 18-Oct-11 19:21:22

Yeh I can really see a massive difference between them. We started ttc at the same time! I have done ok on my own, have been a little tired but im sure I'll get used to it.

Wow 3-6 months klou! Joshua is in 0-3 and his little feet are almost to the end of the sleep suits already!
No I didn't get a footmuff but I was looking at the Jane ones on the Internet and they cost a fortune!

Awww liz poor violet. Do you go on your own to have them done? I've asked nick to come with me and go to work late in case I sit there crying.

lizandlulu Tue 18-Oct-11 19:32:54

yes went on my own. to be honest it doesnt really bother me. i know its for her own good and its got to be done. i winced when i saw the needle go all the way into her thigh. its a good job shes got chunky thighsgrin

when i see new babies in town i look at mine and think, wheres my new baby gone! she seems huge now!

on a good note, i put her to bed last night at 8! she was dropping to sleep and couldnt keep her awake so she went to bed, whinged for about 20 mins but fell asleep!!!!! she woke at 1.30 and 5, so still waking twice in the night/morning as usual but i got abit of evening time to myselfgrin ABOUT TIME!!!!!!

her going to bed earlier than 10 seemed such a long way off, but we will get there in the end!

shes not been asleep much today either and was dropping to sleep at 7, but she had a 5 min nap and woke up (after i accidentally on purpose nocked the chair) and i am hoping to put her to bed at the same time tonight. the other night when my mil was here she called me cruel for waking her, but if thats what it takes for her to go to bed earlier then i bloody woll do!

Poppys still in 0-3 sleepsuits and vests! She's in a few 3-6 vests too though, same with clothes lol! She's now 4 months old. We started her on baby rice the other day, she absolutely loves it. Simons happy as he gets to feed her it.

How are you madkatz? Is your scar healing ok? I hope sophie is being good for you!

iwish how is joshua sleeping at night now?

liz it's awful when they scream isn't it? Can't believe it's already her 2nd set! At least there's only 1 set to go and then no more until she's 1!

klou how is bella recovering? I can't believe how big euan is already!

I'm trying to persuade simon to adopt a retired greyhound lol. When i first said 'Oh how about a greyhound?' he told me to fuck off hmm i'll get him round to the idea of one soon enough though grin

Iwish Tue 18-Oct-11 20:26:33

That's a nice stretch before the 1:30 feed liz! Bet you are so pleased getting her to bed at that time. grin at accidentally on purpose knocking the chair! Ive been trying to wake Joshua up today but it's not happening.

Hey melly! Poppy must be so petite fitting in 0-3 bless her.
Hmmm his sleeping is ok some days and rubbish others. He went to bed ok at 10ish last night but woke at 1:00 then 4:00 then 7:30. The night before he was up till 1:30am!! He has been asleep all day today and yesterday, can't wake him up. Going to be a bad night I think lol.

lizandlulu Tue 18-Oct-11 20:28:56

I know liz thats why I want one, they sleep upto 18hrs a day and only need two 20 minute walks! A day that is, not altogether lol grin they're just so chilled out and great with kids! And they're retired at 3yo so not ancient! Poppy is sleeping a bit better since we started on the rice the other day, still wakes up 2 or 3 times though.

Hope joshua doesn't have too bad a night tonight iwish, it's hard trying to wake them isn't it? If a baby is determined to sleep you've had it lol! Yes poppy is very petite, just like her daddy with his 28" waist angryenvy she's still only in size 2 nappies lol! Did you see my pics?

lizandlulu Tue 18-Oct-11 21:26:23

she looks a proper wrigglergrinsize 2!! wow she is petite, not a bad thing thosmile i was comparing violet and lulu's weights at the same age, i dont know what violet weighs this week but when i looked at 10 weeks old, she weighed the same as what lulu did at 16 weeks! my mum keeps calling her a puddinghmm

i am just having a hot choc and then to bed. chris has fel asleep watching a rabbiting dvd, thrilling stuffhmm

MadKatz Tue 18-Oct-11 21:39:09

Evening Ladies, hope you're all ok.

Well Sophie is being very good considering she has had S&D since yesterday due to my milk coming through and still getting rid of ingestion from the c section. I just can't get comfortable in bed with my scar so really lacking sleep, sleeping sat up on the sofa seems to be the only position that is comfortable enough to doze off in sad

I will post some photos tomorrow

x

lizandlulu Wed 19-Oct-11 07:48:45

i used pillows behind me in bed to make me more comfortable, so i was in a more sat up position but still in bed with duvet on me.
cant wait to see photos of hersmilex

Ooh a rabbiting dvd! How exciting! Well, it would be if I knew what rabbiting is. grin pudding, bless her lol. I reckon poppy is gonna be a right skinny minnie! She's got a cold and has just blown snot all over my boob hmm

madkatz i can't wait to see pictures of her, i'm so jealous! I miss poppy being all brand new and squidgy lol i miss that newborn smell aswell smile

KLou111 Wed 19-Oct-11 15:10:48

Yes, what's a rabbiting dvd?

madkatz pix asap please smile

Can't wait til tomorrow, swimming with our little man. Hope we get some piccies.
Got to take Bella to the vet in the morning to get her stitches out.
Just off to wake him, no actually he just farted and woke himself literally as I wad typing that!!

Have you started with your book iwish? I'm doing an 8-8 as 7am would kill me!

lizandlulu Wed 19-Oct-11 16:33:39

rabbiting dvd, where people go round killing rabbits for vermin controlhmm hence why i wasnt watching it!

what time are you going swimming? bet you cant wait!

i am up at 7am every weeks daysad it kills me too! but if i didnt, lulu wouldbt be at school on time!

KLou111 Wed 19-Oct-11 16:38:14

Lol I'm dreading school time!!
Swimming is at 12.15, only 30 mins, but very excited smile

Iwish Wed 19-Oct-11 17:46:20

Awww melly your pics are so cute. Can't believe she was on her front when you went in! grin at snot all over your boob! How nice of her.

I'm not surprised you didn't watch it liz. I'd be sat there crying because I'm a right wuss.

Well I've started reading the book klou. I skipped to the times for doing everything and feeding times are like 3 1/2 hours apart! He goes maximum of 2 1/2 hours during the day. Hope it tells me what to do about that lol.

As predicted we had another crap night. He was asleep for about 11 but awake 12 till 2am sulking/crying/feeding. Then up again at 4:30, 6:30 and 8:30.

KLou111 Wed 19-Oct-11 18:41:27

Been meaning to mention, I put Euan to bed on a fleece blanket and found ever since, he was easier to settle. Been doing it for about 4 weeks now. It must be cos its warmer. Thought I'd mention it in case it helps anyone else smile

Iwish Wed 19-Oct-11 21:02:29

I might try putting one in Joshua's Moses basket then klou hopefully it'll help him too.
Went for a little walk earlier on. Only 10 mins but it got me and little man out of the house for a whole. I'm going into work tomorrow too so everyone can meet little man. Hope he's in a better mood.

lizandlulu Wed 19-Oct-11 21:13:00

have you tried swaddeling him? i have a swaddeling blanket you can have if you want to give it a go? it was from asde and only dead thin but is properly shaped to swaddle him. i can post it to you if you want it?
it will get better x x

mine was in her cot for 8.15 she was cranky from 7.30 but thought that was waaay too early to try and put her down. as soon as i put her down she started to cry, my heart sank and thought i was going to be in for a horrible hour, but when i walked out she stopped and went to sleep. i was going to go for a lovely hot bath but have been on facebook for so long its too late now! will have one tomorrow night and look forward to having one on my own without any little people annoying megrin
