In my defence there's a big poster advertising The Hobbit and it has a huge picture of Legolas.

Please don't judge me.

VivaLeBeaver Sun 01-Dec-13 11:48:40

Mmmm legolas.

Now, what's Liz Jones up to? I never buy it but miss giggling at her daft column.

Morgause Sun 01-Dec-13 11:49:25

She's banging on about a chap called Dave.

FudgefaceMcZ Sun 01-Dec-13 11:50:46

Oh god I might have to get it for DD1 who has a ridiculous crush on Legolas. Feck. I hate you, OP. How could you? grin

PesterPower Sun 01-Dec-13 11:51:44

I was all ready to shout YABVVVVVVVVVU but.... legolas......

I think we need to discuss some sort of 'free pass' system. Maybe one copy every year?

Morgause Sun 01-Dec-13 11:53:32

That seems reasonable Pester

Morgause Sun 01-Dec-13 11:54:17

It's a lovely picture Viva <sighs>

VivaLeBeaver Sun 01-Dec-13 11:55:07

Don't tempt me <twitches>

I can see the paper shop from here....

Revengeofkarma Sun 01-Dec-13 12:24:21

I think there should be a free pass system. Or a costs pass - you have to donate an equivalent amount to the price to a health charity or something that supports immigrants. Maybe Cancer UK, since according to the Mail everything causes cancer!

FanjoForTheMammaries Sun 01-Dec-13 12:26:23

Yes

Varya Sun 01-Dec-13 12:33:29

Used to buy it but it has become the bringer of horrific and disgusting news in the most sensational and graphic terms possible, too much about so called celebs etc., so to me it is longer worth buying along with most other newspapers, unfortunately so that is not the Sunday pleasure is once might have been to me, sadly : - (

ForalltheSaints Sun 01-Dec-13 12:45:13

Yes I do not think you should have bought it. The Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday are papers of hatred.

fifi669 Sun 01-Dec-13 12:48:26

I read the DM online .... I think like all papers you know the way they lean and just take it into consideration.

Morgause Sun 01-Dec-13 12:49:51

But..... but ...... but ..... Legolas grin

I'm immune to their politics, really.

Legolas tchgrin

And I could use the paper in the guinea-pigs' cage.
'Tis very absorbant, The Mail/ Mail on Sunday

SteamWisher Sun 01-Dec-13 13:11:08

Not even a picture of Legolas could tempt me. Sorry but you know YABU!

liquidstate Sun 01-Dec-13 13:23:55

I buy it every now and then. I use the paper to polish the windows.
tchgrin

Mostly I read online when bored, it has interesting photo stories eg. deserted hospitals in America etc.

scottishmummy Sun 01-Dec-13 13:25:43

www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2516316/LIZ-JONES-Dads-dont-want-year--useless-ironing-tea-towels.html

Saw today's effort from Liz Jones in a coffee shop this morning. Why does she hate mothers so much?? It must be exhausting being her and being full of so much venom.

Yes you are. They are a denizen of wanktwattery and you bloody well know it.

and even if you are immune to the politics, you are not immune to their shite marketing ploy, which you have fallen for hook, line and sinker, and have now propped up their shit arse wanker newsgroup with your hard earned pennies. grin

scottishmummy Sun 01-Dec-13 13:47:12

Liz jones I has it down to a fine art, yanking a certain type harrumphing mutha chain
She knows exactly the key phrases, what nuance, and all the indignant mums respond
It's the response, the mummy indignation that makes Lj popular with her employer

Morgause Sun 01-Dec-13 13:51:34

I'm deeply ashamed but the Legolas poster is worth the much deserved abuse. wink

OrlandoWoolf Sun 01-Dec-13 13:52:52

I hate the DM with a vengeance.

But the Saturday one has a good TV section. I read that when I visit my Dads.

Grennie Sun 01-Dec-13 13:58:30

Just updating my spreadsheet.

SMH

Morgause Sun 01-Dec-13 15:06:05

<worries about Grennie's spreadsheet>

Grennie Sun 01-Dec-13 17:11:47

grin

MammaTJ Sun 01-Dec-13 18:47:54

Take the poster out, then have a ritual burning of the paper!

MrsDavidBowie Sun 01-Dec-13 19:22:47

I got it today as it was free in Waitrose and I like the tv guide.
Haven't read the main paper, just the supplements.

projectbabyweight Sun 01-Dec-13 20:10:39

MIL left hers here today. It went straight in the recycling and I'm worried the neighbours might spot it kept the poster though
