Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:48:36

Well am I?

Think carefully before answering.

RoxanneReidsChafingFishnets Tue 05-Nov-13 09:50:15

No, cant be true. My birthday isn't in November so obviously isn't right. Fact.

On the other hand, the toddlers is but I can say he ain't as great as me

Mignonette Tue 05-Nov-13 09:51:35

I don't know if I am one of your 'favourite people' MaryZ (slightly scared of the answer) but I have followed you here.

My birthday is in August but my lovely BiL is a Nov baby.

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:51:39

Maybe you are the exception that proves the rule Roxanne [comforting]

DS's is November. He's the best.
However, he shares a birthday with my mother. She's not.

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:52:44

August, now, that's not a good month, sorry -my brother--

Keepingthepeace Tue 05-Nov-13 09:52:59

Not sure I I'm allowed here as new but have been enjoying the conversation. Ps I'm may ☺️

Mignonette Tue 05-Nov-13 09:53:22

I was at the start of august- before it got bad...

saythatagain Tue 05-Nov-13 09:53:26

I can absolutely and whole heartedly agree with that.

BanjoPlayingTiger Tue 05-Nov-13 09:53:48

It's clearly a true fact Maryz I have no idea how anyone could doubt it.

Passes round cake to all the other November people.

JaquelineHyde Tue 05-Nov-13 09:53:57

My son is a November born so I am inclined to agree with you.

However, upon further consideration I remembered my ex husband has a November birthday as well and he is a cunt.

Hope that helps grin grin

BoreOfWhabylon Tue 05-Nov-13 09:54:11

My birthday is July but my lovely Dad was a Novemberer, as is my lovely niece.

<blatant attempt to curry favour with MaryZ)

StoorieHoose Tue 05-Nov-13 09:54:27

I agree! Especially ones on the 27 November smile

SaucyJack Tue 05-Nov-13 09:54:30

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:55:13

May? Meh grin

Welcome saythatagain, you wonderful person. And Travel's ds.--ignores her mum--

Mignonette Tue 05-Nov-13 09:55:40

March 2nd was auspicious. My best friend and Lou Reed.

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:56:20

Oh, goodie. Lots of Novembererers <ignores everyone else>

Pinkpartysprinkles Tue 05-Nov-13 09:57:25

Well it's my birthday today so I'd have to agree smile and a good friend has hers next week!

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:57:28

I'm struggling a bit with strike outs on the iPad.

HerBigChance Tue 05-Nov-13 09:57:51

Yep. November birthday people rock.

ercoldesk Tue 05-Nov-13 09:57:59

DD1 and DH, so definitely something there...

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:58:50

And to add to my op:

AIBU to think that Christmas should wait until our Very Important Days are over?

TheOldestCat Tue 05-Nov-13 09:59:32

Oh yes. So says DD and so say I (november birthdays both).

And, of course, no one must mention Christmas until the fab birthday month is over.

Happy birthday, Pinkpartysprinkles!

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 09:59:35

Happy birthday Pink wine

blondiep14 Tue 05-Nov-13 10:01:32

Definitely. Without a doubt wink

Mignonette Tue 05-Nov-13 10:02:43

Only one YABU so far

<sticks out tongue at Saucyjack>

Obviously we Novembererers are the biz [smug]

LadyBeagleEyes Tue 05-Nov-13 10:07:09

I'm May, it's a good month. ds is July.
July is a good month as you can spread out the money a bit for presents.
So I'm clearly not good enough for this thread sad
<huffs off thread>.

Tweasels Tue 05-Nov-13 10:07:23

Happy Birthday Pink wine

Yes, ALL the best people have birthdays in November. I'm sure we had a thread about this last year and it was decided as such.

<waves to all November birthday friends>

stubbornstains Tue 05-Nov-13 10:07:49

YAB completely U.

All the best people are born in February/ March, as any fule kno grin

Exogenesis Tue 05-Nov-13 10:09:28

Tis true, and if you are born on the 6th you are really super!! grin

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree.

I do know one lovely person who has a birthday in November and She is definitely a good egg. However there are many lovely people born in other months too.

RoxanneReidsChafingFishnets Tue 05-Nov-13 10:11:27

Mary I agree with Christmas waiting. Christmas doesn't sneak into my house or mind til 1st of December. Toddler birthday is one of the last days of November.

xCupidStuntx Tue 05-Nov-13 10:12:36

Most definitely grin

ShoeLaRue Tue 05-Nov-13 10:12:38

Oh yes - me and DS1 are November babies.

And so is my beautiful one-day old nephew grin

CJCregg Tue 05-Nov-13 10:15:35

I am a November birthday and so is my fellow Nob SoMuchToBits - we are twins, in fact. And my DP is five days after me.

Christmas being celebrated before my birthday is over makes me fume.

And as for 'Just one big present, to cover birthday and Christmas' - fuck OFF.

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 10:19:05

Congrats NewAuntieShoe

<sniggers at LBE who is clearly misguided>

Yes Tweasels, we are obviously correct and can happily ignore anyone foolish enough not to realise how wonderful we are [smugger]

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 10:21:23

I'm sick as a dog and going to bed. I shall return.

AChristmassyJerseySpud Tue 05-Nov-13 10:22:52

Yes. November birthdays are the best! 12 days and counting here :D

MalcolmTuckersMistress Tue 05-Nov-13 10:27:35

23rd is definitely the most significant and greatest day to have a birthday!

SayCoolNowSayWhip Tue 05-Nov-13 10:28:48

I don't have a birthday sad

<goes for sympathy vote>

Thistroudeballeisinfire Tue 05-Nov-13 10:30:42

Completely agree with you, especially those born on the 14 grin

ginslinger Tue 05-Nov-13 10:32:16

I think I have to agree with you Mary except that I was born in January.

HolidayArmadillo Tue 05-Nov-13 10:32:31

I have a November birthday. And it's a palindrome. So you know. Doubly awesome.

ginslinger Tue 05-Nov-13 10:32:44

SayCool - are you telling an untruth?

HungryHorace Tue 05-Nov-13 10:35:43

They do. It's mine today. :-)

HungryHorace Tue 05-Nov-13 10:37:57

Oh, happy birthday Pink. Good day to have a birthday! :-)

SayCoolNowSayWhip Tue 05-Nov-13 10:40:34

Moi, ginslinger?? Not I!

Ok it's in June

Beehatch Tue 05-Nov-13 10:42:22

MalcolmTuckersMistress you are bang on the money there wink

Up the Novembers!

BuntyPenfold Tue 05-Nov-13 10:46:44

I absolutely HATE my birthday, November 11th. Every year, all the Remembrance day stuff (sorry) but its bloody depressing. I never get a celebration.
I will swop with absolutely anybody, even for January when nobody has any money.

Swops anyone?

ginslinger Tue 05-Nov-13 10:48:20

I'm early Jan and I got an awful lot of 'we can give you your presents at xmas' and then I only got one present. DS1 was born Dec 19th and I wore myself out making sure his birthday was entirely separate from xmas.

BanjoPlayingTiger Tue 05-Nov-13 11:03:44

I couldn't agree more Bunty it's a crap day for a birthday!

BuntyPenfold Tue 05-Nov-13 11:08:44

<waves to Banjo>

DiaryOfAWimpyMum Tue 05-Nov-13 11:12:48

I turn 40 this November shock sad [old gimmer]

purrtrillpadpadpad Tue 05-Nov-13 11:13:23

Happy birthday Pink!

It's also my birthday today smile the very last birthday with a 2 in it before I progress on to birthdays beginning with 3s. Sob.

purrtrillpadpadpad Tue 05-Nov-13 11:14:24

Oh and happy birthday Hungry!

But the weather is soooooo much better in May.

MadMumToThree Tue 05-Nov-13 11:18:10

November 5th is a particularly excellent birthday day grin

Jins Tue 05-Nov-13 11:44:22

Excellent. Our annual we novemberers are the best sort of scorpios thread

I'm here!!!

HungryHorace Tue 05-Nov-13 11:47:44

Happy birthday purr!

MadMum, is it yours too? Happy birthday if so!

While it is true that the best people have birthdays in November especially the 9th it is a shite month to have a birthday.

Malcolm and Beehatch you BOTH have it right there wink

BrianTheMole Tue 05-Nov-13 12:04:27

No sorry. The best people have their birthday in March. Not November. I thought this was a well known fact. YABU.

Rosa Tue 05-Nov-13 12:04:48

Well my daughter is happy with her birthday !!!!

Keepingthepeace Tue 05-Nov-13 12:08:59

Ginslinger my sons is the 4 jan and I'm the same I insist on him having Xmas and birthday separate poor kids has it all in a week and has to wait. My daughter is in July much more easier wink

Tweasels Tue 05-Nov-13 12:14:42

More Serial killers are born in November than any other month.

So those of you who disagree with us better watch your step. grin

Guiltismymaster Tue 05-Nov-13 12:16:56

It is my birthday today and this is the first thing I see on my lunch break- thank you! :D

Chesntoots Tue 05-Nov-13 12:17:00

Obviously! I can't believe you even had to ask!

CJCregg Tue 05-Nov-13 12:17:27

Jins <cough> some of us are Saggis grin

Chesntoots Tue 05-Nov-13 12:19:31

I'm 40 this year. I think I'm ok with that too.

Huitre Tue 05-Nov-13 12:20:43

Happy birthday, fellow Novemberers. I am quite sure that pretty much all the best people have birthdays in November.

Jins Tue 05-Nov-13 12:21:30

Oh I know CJ but last year was the Scorpio thread grin

ShadeofViolet Tue 05-Nov-13 12:26:58

DS1 was due in November. He held on and was born in December instead.

He was trying to tell you all something!

BigGlasses Tue 05-Nov-13 12:30:44

I know an inordinante number of people who have birthdays on 12-15 November (me included). I blame Valentines day grin

Isildur Tue 05-Nov-13 12:31:42

My birthday isn't in November.

It's in one of the other 11 months. <determined to stop giving away identifying info.>

I do like November as a month though, what with it being all autumn/wintery/frosty.

ExcuseTypos Tue 05-Nov-13 12:40:01

I have a November birthday, as does DD1.

In fact I was in hospital having her on my 25th birthday. She was a lovely

CJCregg Tue 05-Nov-13 12:53:45

BigGlasses I was apparently due on the 14th. So definitely a Valentine's baby. I was a lazy arse late, though.

MistAllChuckingFrighty Tue 05-Nov-13 12:56:13

MistAllChuckingFrighty Tue 05-Nov-13 12:57:06

Huitre Tue 05-Nov-13 12:58:56

Are you my mum, ExcuseTypos?

Chippednailvarnish Tue 05-Nov-13 13:00:56

Novemberers are clearly superior in every way, other than their ability to host birthday BBQ's.

babyperks Tue 05-Nov-13 13:03:26

Of course!! My birthday is on Sunday, so must definitely be right smile
But then saying that, my mums is 4 days after mine and she's a nutcase. So maybe notsad

lola0106 Tue 05-Nov-13 13:12:15

November is clearly the best. I agree with the previous post about 27th being the best date in November. It's also my DH, DF and Nans birthday this month smile

Shodan Tue 05-Nov-13 13:14:56

My birthday's on Sunday too babyperks!

Ds2's birthday was on Saturday.

If it weren't for the fact that ds1 slipped up and got born in February, I would wholeheartedly agree that all the best people are born in November.

As it is, I think 'The best people are mostly born in November, with the odd exception' is the phrase we need.

HoneyDragon Tue 05-Nov-13 13:15:36

Yaaaay. Nice one Maryz. I love the annual, Scorpios rule supreme but fights.

We proper pissed on all the Aquarians a couple of years ago.

All superior beings are born in November.

Bluetone Tue 05-Nov-13 13:16:13

No sorry. The best people have their birthday in March. Not November. I thought this was a well known fact. YABU.

This ^

It's my dogs 1st birthday today though so he's in agreement op.

HoneyDragon Tue 05-Nov-13 13:16:16

Bun fights.

My ipad was not born in November hence it's a twatty autocorrecter

Shodan Tue 05-Nov-13 13:17:03

Oh and Happy Birthday to everyone whose birthday it is today.

cake thanks wine

Wilding Tue 05-Nov-13 13:19:33

It's my birthday this month, plus my mum and my sister's.

Clearly November people are the best.

BrainSurgeon Tue 05-Nov-13 13:28:58

Ha! Maryz did start this thread because it was Hully's birthday yesterday? ;-)

Fakebook Tue 05-Nov-13 13:46:46

Yanbu! 2/3 of my children (my dd's) have/will have November birthdays and are/will be Scorpios! Apparently they clash with Aries so I have many a teenage girl strop to look forward to.

Ofcourse, January Capricorns and March Aries are up there with the Novemberites aswell grin.

SayCoolNowSayWhip Tue 05-Nov-13 13:55:14

Haha at but fights. It's not Friday yet HoneyD!

Yessss, my daughter was born on her November due date last year smile

Tweasels Tue 05-Nov-13 14:05:32

It was Hully's birthday yesterday? It was DH's birthday yesterday.

<eyes DH suspiciously>

He is rather fond of using capital letters hmm

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme Tue 05-Nov-13 14:07:55

It is my birthday tomorrow. smile cake brew smile

Happy Birthday to all you other November people! flowers

Agreed maryz. Although this year's episode was not a classic. 2 hours in the council office waiting to buy parking permits, packing house and then driving over night to Ireland with 8mo twins <twitches>. DTS cried from MIlton Keynes to holyhead...

I am gonn go to Vegas or something next year!

Hullygully Tue 05-Nov-13 15:38:29

We are simply the best.

NewtRipley Tue 05-Nov-13 15:45:37

My darling mum's birthday is on the 23rd so I can agree with your hypothesis Maryz.

May is 2nd best month. DD2 and MIL share a birthday and then mine is 2 days later.

ExcuseTypos Tue 05-Nov-13 16:01:24

Huitre "Are you my mum, ExcuseTypos?"

I might be grin but I don't think my DD uses MN.

I might be wrong though.

TwitTwooShoe Tue 05-Nov-13 16:50:03

I, DD1, DS, DTDs and both dogs are all November borns. (DH is a May weirdo).

Does that prove your point? grin

LoisEinhorn Tue 05-Nov-13 16:54:07

9th especially grin

Absolutely especially today (me) and 10th (DS) grin

HeathcliffeItsMe Tue 05-Nov-13 17:12:01

Me, dh, dd and ds1 agree, ds2 is not convinced though.

Pixel Tue 05-Nov-13 17:16:16

Mine's the 26th. I prefer milk chocolate to plain in case anyone needs to know wink.

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 17:31:23

<hugs everyone with Novembererer exuberence>

I do love an AIBU where everyone agrees categorically that the op is not unreasonable <ignore the few non-agree-ers, understanding that they are misled sad souls>

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 17:32:11

Backs up thread slightly - FreeButton, you drove to Ireland with 8 month old twins? Why? Just why?

<profers chocolate and gin and vallium>

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 17:33:52

Brain, I'm offended by that. I am MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than Hully. It's just a coincidence that we share a birthday month.

I think LaQ and Mardy and a few other oldies are November too.

<snogs Honey and everyone else>

I have to agree with this.

My birthday is today, brilliant day to be born.

very pleased to see some of my favourite MNers are November born!

thebody Tue 05-Nov-13 17:36:19

happy birthday November people. lovely month to have a birthday as is April/may like dds.

mine is jan and that's shit!

thebody Tue 05-Nov-13 17:37:03

over, happy birthday.

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 18:00:24

Happy birthday over cake

RunRabbit Tue 05-Nov-13 18:01:50

Scorpions and archers? The best?
You're havin' a laugh.

Maryz Tue 05-Nov-13 18:02:47

Yup, the very, very best [proud]

<ignores the nay-sayers>

TheOldestCat Wed 06-Nov-13 00:34:29

DD was aghast to read in her 'I love jacqueline wilson' or whatever it is called magazine that JW thinks November is a 'dull month'.

How very dare she!

LittleBearPad Wed 06-Nov-13 00:40:23

YANBU at all. It is a cardinal truth that November people rock.

needaholidaynow Wed 06-Nov-13 00:43:42

Awww why THANKYOU OP! grin

My birthday is next Saturday on the 16th November

I'll be 24 but I still feel about 20!

TheOldestCat Wed 06-Nov-13 01:28:44

I share my birthday with Martin Clunes and Kris Akabussi. Enough said.

BrainSurgeon Wed 06-Nov-13 05:26:42

Sorry Maryz not grin

I love you both the same envy

BrainSurgeon Wed 06-Nov-13 05:27:46

I really really fancy a "who's your favourite MNer" thread... Is there one going, or does anyone fancy starting one? wink

BrainSurgeon Wed 06-Nov-13 05:30:13

Oh and another thing. If you are born in November, that means you were conceived in February - long nights, everyone bored so got shagging... Not very romantic is it wink grin

Maryz Wed 06-Nov-13 08:23:27

needaholidaynow, I am exactly 27 years older than you shock

Wow that's scary.

Brain, I think you should start one. There hasn't been a Mumsnet Royalty/The Regs are Bullies/Everyone is a Sycophantic Arselicker thread for at least, oh, it must be three days grin

I read the "9 months past Valentine's Day" comment and thought, in 50 years that has never occurred to me. So yes, dark days, crap tv, Valentine's = me. Oh dear.

I haven't RTFT but I have to say YANBU

My birthday is 1st November so I, along with all the saints of All Saints Day, herald in all the birthdays of the best people.

Troo fax

Antsmummy Wed 06-Nov-13 11:17:24

I haven't had to write this yet, so I signal use this thread to do so: UABVU.
All the best people are born in July. However that means they were conceived in November partially retracts UABVU

Yes, Maryz. I know, on my BIRTHDAY too. Am a loon.

Well, it was that or fly and taking two car seats, double buggy and stuff for 3 weeks was enough to make me gibber. And the babes of course. Also they do not sit still ever. So holding on a plane would have been hell.

Once they are over 1, I think I will fly with them.

Now, who's with me on the trip to Vegas, nov 2014?

I love autumn, possibly because my birthday is November (shallow).

It's my birthday today so the answer must be yes grin

dorothyparka Wed 06-Nov-13 13:26:20

The most awesome of all awesome people are born in November—there should be a Bank Holiday in recognition of our fabulousness
(Happy Birthday prettyfiestycakesmile)

CJCregg Wed 06-Nov-13 13:59:41

DorothyParka not only are you a fabulous fellow-Novemberite but you have a brilliant name grin

dorothyparka Wed 06-Nov-13 15:42:14

How very fabulous of you to say so CJgrin

Maryz Wed 06-Nov-13 17:38:22

Happy birthday to everyone who has a birthday today cakeflowerswine

DS2&3 are in Nov (4 days apart, terrible planning on my part!) and my lovely sister has a birthday in November too smile
