To think I'd rather have Reese's Peanutbutter Cup than a shag?

Well, mostly, anyway!
They require no clean up, nothing needs dunking in a beaker, they are great even if you're too knackered to move, they require no imagination or effort and are on offer at the moment. Also, even though my bedroom has no door, they can still be enjoyed in bed without worry.
Two kids, one house, one job and one knackered mummy says bring on the crappy American stuff!

Thumbwitch Wed 16-Oct-13 10:42:11

YABU because they sound utterly foul. But I'd rather have most other chocolate (not involving peanuts and certainly not peanut butter <boak>) than a shag.
So if you'd just said chocolate I would agree YANBU.

DrSeuss Wed 16-Oct-13 10:43:55

Home Bargains has cheap Dairy Milk if that helps?

Thumbwitch Wed 16-Oct-13 10:45:31

Sadly no because I'm in Australia, but thank you kindly for the thought! thlgrin

WorraLiberty Wed 16-Oct-13 10:46:40

Bleurrggh! DH's Aunt brings them from America and they're foul.

Really overly sweet and nasty.

Now a Whole Nut bar would be a different matter grin

DrSeuss Wed 16-Oct-13 10:47:37

Aussie friend raves about Tim Tams and Cherry Ripe bars. Where abouts in Australia. Have been to Darwin, Sydney, Ayers Rock and Brisbane and driveven Brisbane to Sydney. Loved it!

God, I'd go for a shag, anytime. Good for your skin & figure - an enjoyable work out that makes you feel fab. Chocolate leaves my teeth feeling coated & I feel a bit 'meh' and like I should take some exercise afterwards. Shag is guilt free endorphins - must leap on DH later...

comewinewithmoi Wed 16-Oct-13 10:51:33

Never had one, peanut butter thingie that is. But yes there slots of things I'd rather do, knackered.

AnotherStitchInTime Wed 16-Oct-13 10:52:26

YABU I would go for a shag too, but then I am on nil by fanjo due to pregnancy complications grrrr.

I do love Reese's peanut butter cups though, maybe I should be buying them as a substitute.

freddiefrog Wed 16-Oct-13 10:56:32

Eww, no. Vile things

I would rather have a Terry's Chocolate Orange though

MissMilliment Wed 16-Oct-13 10:58:53

Dark chocolate peanut butter cups are the best. Cherry Ripes are also lovely, a bit like Bounty bars but with chunks of cherry in with the coconut.

I've been happily single for a long time now and would miss chocolate far more than I'm currently missing sex grin

Smoorikins Wed 16-Oct-13 10:59:44

Is it just me thats confused by the 'dunking in a beaker' comment?

absentmindeddooooodles Wed 16-Oct-13 11:01:10

Im having a giant peanutbuttercup made as our wedding cake. Mwah ha ha

weirdthing Wed 16-Oct-13 11:01:29

Nigella has a lovely recipe for something akin to peanut butter cups in her Domestic goddess book. They are divine (and appalling unhealthy!)

Grotbagstwin Wed 16-Oct-13 11:01:55

I would too, I love the whole Reeses range, having found out the do cereal by Reeses too I now need to hunt it down in the uk, and after breaking a tooth on a peanut M&M yesterday I have moree excuse to eat Reeses cups as there is no crunching of peanuts involved

DreamlessSleep Wed 16-Oct-13 11:02:16

No. I heard about these and mum got some when she went on holiday and they were a great disappointment.

ChippingInNeedsSleepAndCoffee Wed 16-Oct-13 11:02:29

smoorkins - yes. Where the hell have you been?

All I can say is ... your sex life must have always been utterly crap if you think one of those vile little things is better than sex. You poor thing sad

DrSeuss Wed 16-Oct-13 11:08:20

Sex is great but it requires more time and effort than I can be arsed with right now. Between work, kids (no family support at all) and life, sitting on the sofa with chocolate and nothing else to do sounds great!

iamadoozermum Wed 16-Oct-13 11:08:39

Loving the term "nil by fanjo" grin - realise that it's not so good for you though AnotherStitch please help yourself to brew and cake if it helps?

KellyElly Wed 16-Oct-13 11:09:24

I'm with you there OP. They are delicious!

BlackholesAndRevelations Wed 16-Oct-13 11:11:48

Nil by fanjo!! Lol!! (sorry- not so funny for you.... But grin )

HerrenaHarridan Wed 16-Oct-13 11:16:13

gringringringringrin Nil by fanjo smilesmilesmilesmilesmile

LaGuardia Wed 16-Oct-13 11:26:27

As Adam Ant said "sex is sex, forget the rest, the only thing that's free. The only great adventure left to humankind, that's you and me....."

Famzilla Wed 16-Oct-13 11:30:23

Amen. Or flipz, the white fudge covered pretzels. Or strawberry fanta. Oh dear, I have a massive urge to go to the American sweet shop in town and destroy all my hard work.

DreamlessSleep Wed 16-Oct-13 11:32:08

Flipz are gorgeous. Havent seen tgem about apart from the retro sweet shops where the are £4 a bag.

poppycock6 Wed 16-Oct-13 11:32:51

Yanbu. I am with you on that one! I bring back giant ones when we've been to the States. Scrummy smile

SaggyIsHavingAPinkKitten Wed 16-Oct-13 11:41:19

YABVU!
You need to find better lovers!
Chocolate has NOTHING on a really good shag!

willyoulistentome Wed 16-Oct-13 11:51:06

I'd rather do pretty much ANYTHING else than have a shag.

Famzilla Wed 16-Oct-13 11:57:11

Ohh they're £2.70 here for a big bag. The perks of living in a rough area.

Sparklysilversequins Wed 16-Oct-13 12:13:10

YANBU but only the white chocolate mini ones. They may be purchased in Asda.

Lazysuzanne Wed 16-Oct-13 12:16:01

It depends very much upon who the shag would be with grin

DrSeuss Wed 16-Oct-13 12:22:53

Tesco have six packs of the twin big Reese's. Mine!

hudyerwheesht Wed 16-Oct-13 12:52:47

Wait a minute - there are BIG Reese's?!

I'm with you, OP, destroying a whole bag of Reese's Pieces whilst loafing on the bed is all the pleasure with none of the effort.. Although as a pp said, depends on who the shag was with - I'd consider giving up the whole Reese's range for life for one night with Ryan Gosling.

DrSeuss Wed 16-Oct-13 13:16:18

When I say big I mean about3cm across. Actual centimetres not men's!

hudyerwheesht Wed 16-Oct-13 13:32:54

ah, I didn't realise you could get mini peanut butter cups, I thought that was their standard size!
So when you said big Reese's, I was imagining(hoping for!) ones the size of Wagon Wheels.

hudyerwheesht Wed 16-Oct-13 13:36:45
DrSeuss Wed 16-Oct-13 13:57:23

Just use the Nigella recipe and DIY!
www.nigella.com/recipes/view/Peanut-Butter-Squares-5384

Sallyingforth Wed 16-Oct-13 14:17:08

I've never eaten anything that's better than a shag. I have eaten something during a shag though smile

HeffalumpTheFlump Wed 16-Oct-13 14:55:01

Nil by fanjo!! grin I just woke up my sleeping week old dd by snorting in her ear at that!

I'd take the shag though as its been far too long due to spd and general massiveness. I'm forgetting what it's like!

buttercrumble Wed 16-Oct-13 15:01:29

Love love love Reese's OP , I'm with you on that one grin

EldritchCleavage Wed 16-Oct-13 15:15:08

Heavens, that's unreasonable. Shag, then a peanut butter cup obviously. No need to ration one's pleasures.
