To still find Keira Knightley really annoying..?

Ok this has probably been to done to death on another thread many moons ago but that bloody annoying Coco Chanel advert is being advertised every ten minutes it seems and that pour of hers us driving me mad! I just think she is a really wooden actress who is only used a lot cos she's as thin as an ironing board ...

Does anyone like her? ( or am I just being irrational ..?)

Scarletohello Sun 15-Sep-13 21:29:51

Bugger, meant to say ' pout'

Euphemia Sun 15-Sep-13 21:30:22

Can't stomach her. The pout is very annoying. Also she gets to be in movies with cute blokes. envy

Hassled Sun 15-Sep-13 21:30:25

I'm warming to her - I was put off by the insanely long neck for a while and the cloying girliness in Love Actually. But she was good in Atonement and she seems generally nice.

RudolphLovesoftplay Sun 15-Sep-13 21:30:28

She is intensely irritating in everything she has ever done!! Especially Pirates of the Carribean, stupid woman, shut up!!

RVPisnomore Sun 15-Sep-13 21:31:08

You're spot on, bloody irritating and couldn't act her way out of a paper bag!

Nancy66 Sun 15-Sep-13 21:32:51

Agree. Just can't watch anything she's in. Along with Winslet and Rebecca Hall

Crowler Sun 15-Sep-13 21:33:04

YANBU.

MrsRajeshKoothrappali Sun 15-Sep-13 21:33:11

I can't stand the chin jutting. Every character she plays does it.

I did enjoy The Edge Of Love though.

Scarletohello Sun 15-Sep-13 21:34:39

Thank god it's not just me ! I can't figure out exactly why I find her so irritating. I get she's beautiful but it's that smug little girl pout that I can't stand! ( I honestly don't like hating on women but can't seem to help it here..)

revealall Sun 15-Sep-13 21:35:32

No acting skills and a weird jaw.
Wouldn't mind the jaw if she could act but she obviously gets work for being pretty.
I want her to be a Benedict C type - strange but engaging. No she is only ever the pretty girl.

Tryharder Sun 15-Sep-13 21:37:38

I used not to be able to stand her but she was very good on The Duchess.

On the basis of that film, I ordered Anna Karenina with her as Anna which unfortunately was shite.

Marcheline Sun 15-Sep-13 21:39:45

She did do an ad for women's aid recently though, which really endeared her to me. I might actually like her now, though the Coco ad is still one of the worst ads in history.

I'm too exhausted to find and link it, sorry.

cookielove Sun 15-Sep-13 21:39:53

Nope don't like her!!

I only liked her in Bend It Like Beckham

NotYoMomma Sun 15-Sep-13 21:42:50

YOU ARE NOT LIZZIE

hermioneweasley Sun 15-Sep-13 21:43:23

She can't act. Which makes her annoying as she spoils everything she's in ( that I've seen)

RedPencils Sun 15-Sep-13 21:45:26

She's a bit of a one trick pony, but she is exactly right in Atonement.

PrincessFlirtyPants Sun 15-Sep-13 21:50:15

Nope, can't stand her. YANBU

MrsDeVere Sun 15-Sep-13 21:51:48

I know that I risk being banished from MN....
but I like her.
I also think she is very pretty.

Ner.

KatyTheCleaningLady Sun 15-Sep-13 21:51:51

My husband loves her.

I'm not sure if he wants to fuck her or wrap her in blankets and feed her a sandwich.

Bumblequeen Sun 15-Sep-13 21:53:07

She has come along well since Bend it Like Beckham. Period dramas/films are definitely for her.

FreudiansSlipper Sun 15-Sep-13 21:57:22

I like her

she has not buggered off to LA to become a star and supports British film making

not the greatest actress but not terrible i have seen worse

Nancy66 Sun 15-Sep-13 21:57:46

I think she's lovely looking - it's just the jutty out chin/pout acting I can't get on with.

If she ever did a film with Nicholas Cage I think I would spontaneously combust.

nameuschangeus Sun 15-Sep-13 22:02:39

I am glad I'm not alone. Her inability to close her mouth gives me the rage.

Pobblewhohasnotoes Sun 15-Sep-13 22:02:44

It's the constant pouting I can't stand. I might like her if she just smiled.

knickernicker Sun 15-Sep-13 22:04:48

An odd body. Low slung angular hips. A bit PE.

hardboiledpossum Sun 15-Sep-13 22:06:13

I like her and she is nice.

Nancy66 Sun 15-Sep-13 22:06:15

PE?

FreudiansSlipper Sun 15-Sep-13 22:07:25

i think she is beautiful

i would happily look like her and be her size then i could eat and eat

Lilacroses Sun 15-Sep-13 22:08:30

I thought she was amazing in Atonement but generally I find her very annoying. Dp thinks she is gorgeous and marvellous though.

zgaze Sun 15-Sep-13 22:15:03

I clearly remember reading years and years ago a little interview snippet in the Evening Standard mag where she talked about having her top lip done. Her PR obviously had a word and pointed out that a 'natural' beauty doesn't confess to plastic surgery and she's denied it ever since. I get irrationally annoyed by her/this, far more than say Posh & her boob job denials, particularly when it's so bloody obvious she's had it all done. She's easily the most grating celeb I can think of.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones Sun 15-Sep-13 22:28:21

I hate hate hate that advert - but I love her in atonement. She was amazing. She is very thin beautiful.

CaptainCapybara Sun 15-Sep-13 22:33:30

Her voice annoys me but I think she is beautiful when she smiles.

guiltyconscience Sun 15-Sep-13 22:34:16

I can't bear the woman she speaks very quickly in her films and gets on my nerves with her giggle girly butter wunt melt act. In fact her and Tom Cruise are my number 1 hated actors op yadnbu!

I can't look at her with that weird jaw/bottom lip going on. I have actually refused trips to the cinema when the film has her in it. And that perfume advert with her in that ridiculous position on the motorbike has me leaving the room to put the kettle on!!

Its Coco Mademoiselle that she is advertising, so lets all get the Lidl imitation of it this year (Suddenly Madame) at £3.99!

happystory Sun 15-Sep-13 22:49:52

Good she may be in films but saw that play she was in in the west end and oh my good lord that was a long two hours. Painfully thin too so that distracts you a lot

Greydog Sun 15-Sep-13 22:51:06

Can't bear her. Her Lizzie Bennet has to have been the worst I've seen.

Ezio Sun 15-Sep-13 22:54:11

Her head looks too big for her body.

Smoorikins Sun 15-Sep-13 23:00:01

I had to apologise to a friend. I persuaded her to come to see Anna Karenina with me. It was beautifully done, and I SO wanted to love it.

But it was impossible. It was really really bad. It was totally impossible to care about any of the main characters, and the interesting characters and great characterisations were so peripheral in the film. They could have almost redeemed their poor casting choices with their great casting choices - had they given them more screen time.

Mind you, the people that were beside us in the cinema were raving about it at the end. So I guess style over substance works for some.

ThePuffyShirt Sun 15-Sep-13 23:04:00

She is awful in everything, ESP that bloody advert.

When she smiles she looks really odd.

My friend saw her in The Children's Hour & said she looked like Olive Oyl.

Pantone363 Sun 15-Sep-13 23:05:42

So she's too thin, has a weird jaw and pouts too much.

I don't think we need men to drag us down, we seem to be doing ok ourselves.

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:06:04

I rather like her

The pout is a bit actressy but I forgive her that as my neice who is in her 20's never fucking stops doing that

Her body shape is not strange...she has a long trunk and short, shapely legs that is all (and fgs, are we trashing her for that?)

Leave her be, at least she isn't pornifying herself with implants, pneumatic lips and getting her arse out in The Sun

Ezio Sun 15-Sep-13 23:08:03

She does look beautiful smiling though.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:08:51

I can't see the appeal. If I was a bloke don't reckon I would want to fuck her. Dh says she is attractive though! Maybe she appeals to men.

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:09:49

it's a good job some men like women who aren't traditional tits and arse shapes, isn't it ?

< sigh >

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:10:50

what with everything being about the Male Gaze, she should be fucking stoned

Xmas read your post again and reconsider, fgs

JustinBsMum Sun 15-Sep-13 23:10:52

She is beautiful but expressionless imo so not a great actress.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:12:05

My dh likes arse and legs over tits.

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:12:34

so fucking what ?

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:13:06

It is actually her face that I am not so keen on. Her jawline.

sillysillySILLYgirl Sun 15-Sep-13 23:14:11

Thank god Anyfucker! This thread is awful. No real reason not to like her other than "she's thin and looks weird"

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:15:29

AnyF, chill mon cheri!
I just can't get hot for the woman. What else can i say?!

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:16:22

But Sophie Ellis Bextor, I love her jawline and think she is stunning.

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:16:31

you being utterly perfect, yeah ?

and of course your dh is the oracle on such matters

we don't need the media to put women down do we, it just needs ordinary folks like xmas and her discerning husband to trash perfectly attractive (and successful, is that the issue ?) women who did fuck all to offend us

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:18:07

Any, this is not cool. I can find Her unattractive if I want to. Dh can like her legs. You are not yourself tonight.

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:18:30

I am perfectly chilled, xmas and you are talking very much like an arsehole

as long as your fabulous husband thinks you are the bees knees though, eh (good luck with that one)

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:20:25

So shoot me, I don't like perfectly attractive women reduced to pieces of their anatomy

that's exactly "like me"

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:21:27

Any, I can't be offended by you. It is like water off a duck. I luffs you since long time. You will be bak to normal by tomorrow.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:22:12

Seriously there are no words you can say grin

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:23:57

By "back to normal" if you mean slagging off women because of their jawline on t'internets, don't hold your breath

However, I rather like you normally too, so let's not make it a deal breaker smile

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:28:34

We won't fall out over a jawline. That would be premature and fanciful grin

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:29:36

<moves on, nothing to see here>

grin

Elsiequadrille Sun 15-Sep-13 23:31:13

I think she's rather beautiful and stylish.

I liked her best in Atonement and The Duchess. I did, however, fine her annoying in Love Actually and Pride and Prejudice (I didn't like her Elizabeth Bennet).

Elsiequadrille Sun 15-Sep-13 23:31:26

find* not fine

Elsiequadrille Sun 15-Sep-13 23:33:01

Oh yes, Edge of Love. I liked that one! And the film about the clones <name escapes me>

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:34:03

I love the way she dresses in RL

Love Actually is officially the shittest film in the world, so that isn't her fault, tbh smile

Would it explain matters more if I confessed to being tall, skinny, crop haired and not particularly tits and ass feminine ?

ReindeerBollocks Sun 15-Sep-13 23:34:43

I like her a lot more as she has never played the celebrity game. She acts in her movies (some good, some bad) and does the necessary press release stuff, then gets back to enjoying her life, out of the public view. I admire that.

Elsiequadrille Sun 15-Sep-13 23:36:44

Anna Karenina was a truly dreadful adaptation of the book, but she'd have made a good Anna otherwise, I thought.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:40:15

You look bloody great in your Boden jackets though, Any.

<<goes back long time of MN history>>

I am similar build but have you been across to Style and
beauty section bra ladies? I have gone up several cups and down bands and feel so much tester for it.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:40:27

Tester= better

Still18atheart Sun 15-Sep-13 23:42:04

blush i really like her as an actress, I've earmarked her as someone I would like to play me if they're was ever a movie about my life type thing.

The only thing I don't like about her are her eyebrows. A friend told me this and once you notice them you can't stop watching them.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:42:07

And by better, I don't mean smug I just mean that the side of my boobs aren't squashed into a B cup anymore.

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:43:23

heh. I own nothing of Boden.

And I already did the 34B to 32DD thing.

Your husband still wouldn't fancy me though.

stemstitch Sun 15-Sep-13 23:47:05

Well I think she's really pretty. She might not be the world's greatest actress, but I don't see the point in pretending she's not more attractive than 99% of women.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Sun 15-Sep-13 23:49:32

Any, I swear you bought a jacket years ago as said it was lovely. I was gutted cos everything in my order was shit and ill fitting. Glad you got the comfy bra though. I didn't realise why my bras pissed me off so much till those threads

AlfalfaMum Sun 15-Sep-13 23:50:40

I'm uncomfy with all the bitchyness on this thread too. She doesn't deserve that.

She is really pretty, yes, and maybe got some of her parts for that reason, but I do think she's a talented actor, and have to disagree that she always plays the same art. She was excellent in Never Let Me Go for example.

LadyBeagleEyes Sun 15-Sep-13 23:56:16

I like her.
Loved her wedding photos

squoosh Sun 15-Sep-13 23:56:34

I think she's very attractive.

I think she's an average actress at best and find it perplexing that she's the go to girl for all British or British set films and anything involving a corset.

AnyFucker Sun 15-Sep-13 23:57:01

Nope, no Boden jackets here

Boden has never crossed my threshold

I am a strict River Island/H+M/TopShop/Warehouse lover

My M+S 32DD bra's though are fabulous for a flat chested gal

blobfish Mon 16-Sep-13 00:00:41

I think it's awful that someone would post "my husband would/would not fuck her".

Jesus wept.

NutcrackerFairy Mon 16-Sep-13 00:05:09

Sorry but I can't stand her as an actress.

She has been incredibly wooden and mediocre in every film I have had the displeasure of seeing her in.

She was appalling in Love Actually and Pride and Prejudice.

I personally don't find her face or figure remotely attractive but that's neither here or there.

But I do wince when her name is announced as lead actress in another major production and I think oh well, I'll just have to miss that one.

Remotecontrolduck Mon 16-Sep-13 00:10:57

She's not the best actress but she's passable in the right stuff, like period dramas.

She is stunning though, really striking in my opinion.

LazyGaga Mon 16-Sep-13 00:15:03

I like her.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Mon 16-Sep-13 00:21:45

I am mixing you up then, Any flowers <sorry>
I am sure you would look good though in a fun print, Henley, merino type creation.i went to Debenhams and marvelled at the fact that I wasn't pulling at my bra band anymore. I seriously had not appreciated that my tits went backwards as well as forwards hence the wire squashing on side boobage discomfort issues previously encountered as a B cup.

eretrew Mon 16-Sep-13 00:23:15

She's amazing and I can't see why anyone would dislike her.

CoffeeTea103 Mon 16-Sep-13 00:28:20

Op described her as being thin as an ironing board yet she isn't being flamed like another thread that describes a women in a supermarket being large. Why is being called a fat person any less offensive as being called a thin person?

Mimishimi Mon 16-Sep-13 01:18:06

It's the pout .... it's just awful. Otherwise she's quite attractive and not a terrible actress. I just wish she would lose that pout. It's not sexy contrary to what she might believPr

Creeping Mon 16-Sep-13 01:30:30

I like that she insists on staying flat breasted (no inplants). But her pout, it is really really really putting me off her altogether. Especially as she seems to do it ALL THE TIME. Really, is that acting? Not closing your mouth? AAAARRRGGGHHH

burberryqueen Mon 16-Sep-13 01:51:26

wel i have only seen her in Atonement and thought she was rather lovely

kickassangel Mon 16-Sep-13 02:21:58

I thought she was more interesting in Seeking a Friend for the Emd of the World, but too often she plays a role which only requires standing around and pouting, so I guess that's what she's known for.

I do get annoyed that she obviously got some of her big breaks based as much on her father and a rather stereotypical view of British accents instead of some shining screen presence. Also, she lost a lot o weight at one point, just as she started getting some big roles, and it annoys me that someone who was a healthy weight seemed to have to become incredibly thin before they could be given a starring role. It's not her that I'm annoyed at, but she did play it up with an 'oops, did that outfit go see through in the flashlight? Silly me' event just as she lost weight.

It does seem that being rake thin and flashing your tits is what Hollywood demands from young female actresses.

SmallTorch Mon 16-Sep-13 02:26:30

I haven't seen all the films mentioned. I quite like her. Never noticed her lip eyebrows chin jaw or thin flat chestedness as offensive!

LaLaLeBouef Mon 16-Sep-13 02:34:56

She looked better before the lip injections at the tender age of 19.

DizzyPurple Mon 16-Sep-13 02:37:29

Wooden acting definitely. But also as someone said her skinniness is a bit off-putting!
I did like her in 'bend it like Beckham' too but not in much else!

SlangKing Mon 16-Sep-13 03:06:40

I guess she's pretty enough but, as you say, too ironing board thin to be 'sexy'. As a bag o' bones myself, I like a little weight on a partner to avoid sounding like a xylophone in those intimate moments. I thought she was pretty good in Atonement, otherwise I remain indifferent.

Notafoodbabyanymore Mon 16-Sep-13 03:30:00

I find her fecking annoying, she's known as Keira Shitely in my house, but I hate the idea that one particular type of appearance is more attractive than another.

She can't help being thin, she can help her shitty and annoying pouty "acting".

To the PP who asked why it's offensive to call a fat person fat and not a thin person thin, it's because our society sees thin as desireable for a woman, and fat as grotesque.

Women should not be judged on their body shape. Actors, however, should be judged on their acting ability.

Despite her level of fame, you never hear of her being a diva bitch from hell in her treatment of others do you?

She's not my Lizzie, and I can take her or leave her in some films, but aside from that she's definitely been blessed with beautiful looks and generally seems to be a nice person.
I can't bring myself to dislike her, though I know others find her irksome, I think she's probably an alright sort.

DigestivesAndPhiladelphia Mon 16-Sep-13 07:35:49

Atonement, Never let me go, The duchess... Perfect in all of them.

She is strikingly pretty and I like the fact that she hasn't gone down the implants route and doesn't even bother with padded/push up bras, despite the fact that she is often criticised used for being thin & flat chested. We all have different body shapes, I think she is naturally thin and that she looks lovely as she is.

What has she actually done to provoke such nasty, childish comments from adult women who have never met her?! Bizarre.

LumpySpacePrincessOhMyGlob Mon 16-Sep-13 07:43:24

She was great in The Duchess and she seems like a really lovely girl.

Gunznroses Mon 16-Sep-13 08:05:08

Lol at all the film experts who have decided KK can't act. The film/ casting directors all think she can but MN jury have decided in their expert opinion she can't. As for her beauty, beautiful actresses are ten a penny in the film business so surely she must have a lot more to offer than just her looks.

I find it rather distasteful a woman suggesting her dh would like to fuck another woman as if she's a piece of meat up for the taking, very crass!, says more about you than her.

squoosh Mon 16-Sep-13 08:27:00

I think it's perfectly acceptable for people to have a low opinion of her acting skills. She is an average actress at best. Lots of people are favoured by the big studios because they have a bankable name, it doesn't make them Meryl Streep.

Gunznroses Mon 16-Sep-13 08:45:29

Yes and of course you would know about all that being up there with all the top casting directors! Fgs why is it hard for you to accept that a woman doing well in her career might just be because she is good and not because of her looks?

With women like you around we dont need to worry about misogyny at all do we? Of course as she is such a bad actress she entiled to all the vitriol being spouted here. Nasty just nasty!

I think it's perfectly acceptable for people to have a low opinion of her acting skills

Really? You should be ashamed of yourself, thank God your opinion doesn't count.

Itstartshere Mon 16-Sep-13 09:08:49

I really like her. I loved how low key her wedding was, she seems so unpretentious. I can't imagine her running round with Prince Harry, Cara Delavigne and that crowd utterly milking her celebrity. I think she'd be a great person to have as a friend.

I don't think she can act - I liked her in Georgiana and Atonement but not so much in other things, but she is stunningly beautiful. And thank you AnyFucker for being the voice of reason on this thread.

Nancy66 Mon 16-Sep-13 09:12:26

Gunznroses - you are being a bit naïve if you don't think actresses (actors too) are cast because of their looks.

Why is it considered so outrageous to state that you don't rate somebody at their job? KK is paid millions to convince the audience that she is the character she is portraying. If she doesn't do that - and mostly (for me) she doesn't - then it's not a stretch to say that she isn't a very convincing actress.

Smoorikins Mon 16-Sep-13 09:19:15

A) I think the focus on here about her looks/breast size/size is just horrible. I wonder how perfect everyone making those judgements are

B) do people really think the only people entitled to an opinion on acting ability are those that work in the film industry? Really? As a cinema goer/dvd buyer I and the vast number of others like me sustain that industry. Surely we have every right to comment on the acting skills of the people in the product we paid for? Is it wrong to say you didn't like a meal in a restaurant, because obviously the chef knows better?

fromparistoberlin Mon 16-Sep-13 09:21:41

i thought that MN was slightly above celeb bitching posts

WholeNutt Mon 16-Sep-13 09:26:53

Can't stand her and I was telling dh last night how her pout made me want to smack her up the head with a sock full of shit.

Yanbu.

Gunznroses Mon 16-Sep-13 09:32:20

Nancy - I am not naive thank you very much, and I never said looks had nothing to do with casting. I did say 'beautifull actresses are ten a penny in the business" so obviously good looks are part of the package. However i disagree with the posts saying KK is casted purely for her looks and therefore desrves these comments. Utter rubbish.

^why is it considered outrageous to state you don't rate somebody at their job?

Its not outrageous if you can articulate this without tearing her to pieces like a pack of vultures, whilst suggesting who or what part of her,
random men might like to fuck.

KK is paid millions to convince the audience that she is the character she is portraying

Its obviously missed your attention that she is convincing millions quite well, the MN baying crowd are the lone voice of one crying in the wilderness. Why do you think she keeps being recasted? Oh i forgot its her looks hmm

limitedperiodonly Mon 16-Sep-13 09:32:29

She's beautiful, she seems an all right person and she's nowhere near as wooden than Orlando Bloom.

Come to think of it, Johnny Depp is no Olivier either. I still like him.

squoosh Mon 16-Sep-13 09:33:39

'With women like you around we dont need to worry about misogyny at all do we? '

Fucking hell Gunznroses you sound absolutely hysterical. Are you a KK super fan or just a bit dim? I'm a misogynist because I described Keira Knightley as being 'very attractive and an average actress'? I think you need to get a grip, and a dictionary.

As a paying cinema goer of course my opinion counts, albeit in a miniscule way. Her name does not entice me to see one of her films. I make my choices when I see the names on a poster. I avoid her films in the main just as I avoid films with Jude Law in them.

And you are absolutely demented if you think that Hollywood values talent over looks, especially when it comes to female actors.

ilovesooty Mon 16-Sep-13 09:40:14

I rather like her. I agree with AnyFucker

Smoorikins Mon 16-Sep-13 09:47:17

I know people outside of mumsnet that don't rate KK highly as an actress.

You are clutching at straws, and not doing yourself any favours.

Larrygogan Mon 16-Sep-13 09:53:36

I met her a few times years ago when she was just starting out and used to be up for the same roles as a former student of DHs, and later when a friend was involved in the football coaching for Bend It Like Beckham. I thought she was nice, quite ordinary. I certainly didn't foresee how famous she would become. If you had asked me to bet, I would have said DH's old student had the edge, being a ravishingly pretty English rose type who was getting callbacks, and got a small role in a film with Alicia Silverstone that was billed to be huge.

I think KK is continually miscast in period roles to which she isn't suited, partly because she has such a 2013 face and body. She was far better in the few contemporary things I've seen her in.

squoosh - its you that needs to get a grip. My comments were addressing all the vitriol being spouted not just your comments that you added much later, dont flatter yourself, its not all about you love.

i dont have to be a fan or superfan to recognise nastiness, i just have to be human. Its obvioulsy okay to suggest who would like to fuck her then as she is so worthless as an actor? Why dont you comment about that? Demented? No just another woman.

I really liked her in 'The Duchess' and thought she did a good job in that.

Calm down Gunznroses.

If your ire wasn't directed at me then you shouldn't have quoted me. People ripping her apart because of her appearance and people stating that they don't think her a acting skills are all that noteworthy are two very separate things.

I think its you and the baying crowd that need to calm down, she's just an ordinary woman trying to make a living at what she's good at, if you dont like her movies that's fine, but the extent of hatred towards her on this thread is way beyond simply "critiquing" her work.

Wow. That escalated quickly.

I think there's a lot of jealousy surrounding Keira. She is a stunning, successful, rich woman who has just married the love of her life. Some people are going to be bitter sadly.

What a fucking horrible thread.

How depressing is it that a lot of the comments are about her weight and body shape. She is naturally thin. She has a very similar body shape to me. Great to know that is seems to be considered so unattractive hmm

Like others have said if she was slightly overweight (because yes, she is thin but really she is just a little slimmer than the average) and people were making comments about how horrible it was there would be outrage!

God, nasty nasty people on here.

melika Tue 17-Sep-13 09:29:25

I wish I had a body like hers. I get a good feeling she is a nice unpretentious, willful person who knows what she wants out of life.

Good luck to her, I say.

Seriously, haven't you lot got something more fruitful to do than picking over some celeb.

SkodaLabia Tue 17-Sep-13 09:42:29

Regardless of my opinion on her skills or appearance I hate that shot up her fanjo as she gets on the bike, and the bit where he takes her boot off and her bare foot comes out of it makes me want to boak. Put socks on woman!

The long green gown she wore in Atonement was gorgeous.
